I requested TE to come out and diagnose why an existing circuit was not getting power. Instead of just fixing the circuit, I agreed to a new panel for my house since it was 60 years old. The price I was quoted was over 12k. I felt the electrician on my job, Jason S. was very high pressure in his tactics and told me I needed to decide that day, or lose potential discounts. I had also been without a kitchen for over 30 days, so I agreed to the work. The next day Jason and an apprentice come out to start the job. They take one whole day to remove and replace the new panel, no problem. Here is where it goes downhill. On the second day of work, Jason and another apprentice came out and instead of prioritizing the circuit I hired him for, they start installing the hardwired smoke detectors Dekalb county allegedly requires. This took all day! By about 4 pm, I asked if he was going to get the outlet done so I could use my dishwasher and he replied "I guess if I stay here all night". I said I guess thats what you got to do then, and they were here til nearly 8 pm. Then he made several other unprofessional comments about staying late. Jason never came back to my job. A new Electrician came out on Monday, Jason said he had an emergency job. The part where they earned this rating comes when I found out my pool motor circuit was not working on the new GFCI circuit. I explained to them it originally was on a two pole circuit and now they had it on two single poles. It was drawing 240v and they had the model number and should have researched the wiring on their own as professionals. Rather than listen to me, I had to wait all day for the new electrician (with Jason on the phone) come up with a new quote to fix which included trenching up and re-wiring my entire pool, ANOTHER 5 THOUSAND DOLLARS! I was livid. I started looking into this and it turns out I was right, it just needed a 2 pole GFCI. I talked to the second electrician the next day and told him I want to talk to a supervisor or manager. I got a call later in the day from Jeffrey who was going to look into it and get back to me the same day. He did not. He did call me the next morning and agreed to send one of his best guys out to install a 2 pole and see if that solves the problem. Well guess what, it did! And, I didn't have to pay another 5K. I expected to hear back from Jeffrey again to ensure the job was to my satisfaction as you should on a service recovery. I did not. I feel lied to, and that I was robbed and almost taken needlessly for thousands more, had I not done my research which should not be necessary as a layperson. I understand from TE employees the Electricians control the cost, and they get a commission from it. Unfortunately, I paid for an electricians summer vacation because I trusted him. I am beyond disappointed in this company! For 3 years in a row the compressor went out on my A/C unit. NOT one of the technicians that came out ever diagnosed the problem! Simply told me I needed to replace the entire unit which is only 5 years old. I called Climate Heroes and learned that the refrigerant lines were not cleaned out properly, the service valve was not open all the way and I need another duct in my crawl space. I will be paying on the dead compressor that was replaced last June for quite some time and this company will not do a thing to help me out!! Poor service and poor customer service!!!!!! I have been a customer of this company for over a year and enrolled in their maintenance plan. Based on their recommendation, I replaced my entire home's HVAC system at a cost of more than $26,000. I was assured the installation would be handled by their most qualified technician, but that was not my experience. Within weeks of the installation, the new system stopped cooling both the basement and first floor. A technician was sent out and claimed the issue was fixed, but the same problem returned within a week. When I contacted customer service, I was initially told the earliest available appointment was the following day between 3:00-6:00 p.m. After speaking with a manager and explaining the urgency, I was promised an 11:00 a.m. appointment instead. I rearranged my schedule to be home, but the technician never arrived. I later received a text stating the technician was delayed and would come the next morning between 8:00-10:00 a.m. Once again, there was no call and no show. When I called dispatch at 10:00 a.m., I was simply read the text conversation between the technician and dispatcher rather than offered a solution. As I write this, I am still waiting for a technician. After spending more than $26,000 with this company, I expected a reliable installation and professional customer service. Instead, I have experienced recurring issues, missed appointments, poor communication, and a complete lack of accountability. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company and encourage others to consider other providers. read more

UPDATE 10/9/25 Had my AC units shut off for no apparent reason. I was able to get on the TE website and book an appointment to troubleshoot the system around 10 at night. I got a personal text first thing the following morning confirming times, and when I responded, they were able to move my appointment up to an earlier time. It's a relief to have a real person helping me take care of business. Brian and another tech (sorry! I forgot his name) were polite, friendly, professional, thorough, and really helpful! Because it was a simple fix, they didn't even charge me for the diagnostic visit! They helped me understand and fix the problem. After a brief conversation, I have to say, I highly recommend signing up for their monthly maintenance program! Super affordable and it covers a wealth of routine checks that already take the stress off my mind! Because TE works in so many things, I was able to get a plumber AND the AC guys out at the same time with one call/text! Garret came out and took care of some issues I had with water pressure, a dripping shower head, and a clogged drain for my ice machine. He was professional and thorough as well and was able to take care of everything in one day. I appreciate his candid advice on what needed to be done v. what can wait. I scheduled an appointment with ease. The scheduler was very courteous and professional - One of the best. I received a 2 hour window to expect a sales person/technician between 8 and 10 am. 10 minutes past the expected window and no one had arrived or contacted me. I called to determine the status and waited for a callback. After 2 additional calls with dispatch, I learned there was another job before mine and it would take an estimated 1 - 1.5 hours before he arrived. At at that point I let them know that would not work for me. As a new customer I would not recommend this business. The customer experience was just to bad for me to recommend them. 1.) They showed no respect for my time. 2.) They did not communicate with me proactively to let me know they would be late. I have a problem with businesses that think their time is more valuable than mine. I chose not to reschedule and potentially waste my time for another day. There was additional work beyond the HVAC service that I was willing to offer TE but they blew it. I will be giving the business to someone else. TE plumbing is our go to for any concerns of work that needs to be done. There simply isn't any better company. They are prompt, courteous, fair, knowledgeable, and honest. Jordan was the plumber we most recently had come out to see us a few days ago. Our pipes had frozen but we managed to unfreeze them. Although there didn't appear to be any damage, we are senior women and we were so concerned there was a cracked pipe or damage we couldn't see that would cause flooding later. Jordan looked everything over and was kind and reassuring. He gave us tips and tricks for future cold weather events to help prevent it from happening again. The plumber arrived within 2 hours of my call for a clogged main drain which I really appreciated. He snaked it and the water flowed fine when he left. But two days later the same clog came back. I called and they did come out again for free but I ended up paying for a hydro jetting service the second time that probably should have been recommended first. Jonathan from TE Certified came out on an emergency call when we discovered leaking while running our dishwasher. From the start, I was impressed by his thoroughness and expertise. He used his detective skills to carefully trace the source of the leak and was incredibly patient in answering all of my questions. When needed, he referred me to an excellent water damage restoration company, which was greatly appreciated. I also asked Jonathan to help me locate the main water shutoff valve in my condo unit. After investigating, he determined that we don't actually have one in our unit--it's likely somewhere else in the building. He helpfully suggested having a local shutoff valve installed, which would give us much better control in case of emergencies. Jonathan was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to solving the problem. I was so impressed with the service that I've scheduled TE Certified to come back for additional work. I connected with this company on Yelp. I had an emergency. Undersink Water leak. They promised to have someone out that afternoon. I called after the 4 hour time window when no one had called or showed up. Was told I was the next appointment, the pro was 30 minutes away. After another hour or so, I called again. Same story. I asked if they had anyone else. This was an emergency. I had to be away the next day and wouldn't be around to keep emptying the water. My oak floorboards were now warped. They sent someone who absolutely had no understanding of the concept of a water filter. I don't know what "certified" means to this company. I jumped to the wrong concluding that their people had plumbing skills and knowledge. Sweet guy, totally over his head. He had never seen a faucet with a sensor to turn on and off water. I would have him back if I knew he could do the job. I still have no filtered water for drinking or cooking, except an old Brita pitcher and am looking for a plumber or skilled handyman. Connector, hose or pipe still leaking, but only about a cupful a day instead of 4 gallons. Now looking for a good plumber again. This was originally installed by an elderly arthritic woman, and worked perfectly for 2 years.The only issue before I tried to change out the filter was that it had reached the mfr. recommended replacement time. read more

I requested a quote for adding another outlet to my garage and TE Certified delivered. The technician was friendly and was detail oriented. He caught an issue with the wiring and brought it to my attention so that it would be done correctly and to code. My house is old and had aluminum-copper wiring so special wiring nuts were required to ensure the electrical wires wouldn't end up as a hazard. For the price of the installation, I would say that it was fair and value-wise the technician went above my expectation to ensure that I wouldn't have any issues with the installation in the future. Did a walk thru to see all that was needed and began his troubleshooting. Provided recommendations and cost. I needed a different part than I had ordered and he set me up to come back the next day. He was very knowledgeable of his job. The pricing for the work itself is comparable to other major companies. The only downside is utilizing for work you know you need such as a faucet replacement and needing to pay the repair estimate on top of paying for the faucet replacement (which is what you wanted anyway). Another excellent TE experience. Had TE install a GFCI outlet in a third floor bathroom for a bidet. It was a challenging install that required installing a new circuit, a 20 amp breaker and fishing the wire down to the box in the basement. Kyle Boss, the tech, did an amazing job with just one small cut in the drywall (which was neatly covered by an electrical wall plate). Professional. Courteous. On-time. I finally broke down a bought a standby generator believing it would give me peace of mind. With the change in weather patterns I decided to bite the bullet and pay $18k for the installation and then agreed to monthly maintenance agreement. I trusted TE Certified Electric, I thought, so I purchased the generator from them and paid for the installation. 18 months later, I was on a business call and the power went out. I thought any minute the standby generator would kick in. But "par for the course" I had to wait for the power to return. The generator was a bust. I spent $18k for peace of mind. I had to wait for the following morning for TE to come out. During the installation they missed a step. Thankfully, they reminded they needed our credit card for the monthly billings. read more

Do not use TE Certified! I have them on my maintenance plan where they come out a few times a year to check my systems. Guy comes today and changes the filters, checks and makes sure everything is ok. All of my units work fine but he recommends $4500 worth of work thats recommended. That is not why I'm mad. I went out this evening and I when I came home I noticed that my thermostat on the top floor isn't working, as in totally black, no power. Somehow, he had turned off the power or picked the wire loose as none of the breakers are showing having been tripped. It's this type of sloppiness that I find unacceptable. Are you telling me that they're not training these guys to check all the systems are up and running again once they're done with their maintenance? I would not recommend this company at all!!! read more
