MASTERS OF TASTE 2026 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena This was our 1st time attending and it did not disappoint!! This is a Food Festival that makes a real impact in our community! Every bite benefits the largest homeless services provider in the San Gabriel Valley, Union Station Homeless Services. With over 100+ of LA's best Chefs, Restaurants, Bakeries, Breweries and Wineries we definitely savored every delectable bite!! We enjoyed culinary tastings, delectable desserts, handcrafted cocktails, craft breweries, select wineries, cold pressed juices and cold brew coffee from over 100 Culinary Masters! And, yes, it was UNLIMITED!! Chef hosts Chef Thomas and Chef Vanessa Tilaka Kalb of Agnes Restaurant & Cheesery are committed to sourcing from the region's best farmers and makers! Parking was included with the ticket. Plenty of parking. For general admission tickets (we bought these tickets), there was a long line as everyone waited for the gate to open at 4pm. VIP tickets get you in at 3pm. Music filled the air from La Bellatini. There were some food trucks as soon as you walked in. On the field, there was excitement in the air and the buzz from people trying all the food and drinks! They had some picnic tables and a VIP area. We really enjoyed the event. read more

Run, don't walk, to this annual AYCE gala, which is like a Yelp event only 10,000 times bigger. Actually it was a Yelp event, as Yelp was a sponsor and 25 of us lucky Yelpers were awarded tickets (which cost $199). Hats off to TD (who drove all the way in from Coachella) and the other LA-area CMs who made the scene. Bring your appetite. Food, drink and alcohol galore with no end in sight. Very well organized with free parking and orderly lines letting everybody in. VIP admission one hour earlier (at 3pm), but no need for that; plenty of room for everybody at 4pm without shelling out extra dough. Everything from Wagyu beef to ice cream; there had to have been 200 booths ringing the Rose Bowl. A week of cheat meals rolled into one. Worth it! read more

I go to a lot of food events, but Masters of Taste honestly felt different in the best way. From the moment I walked in, I was in full foodie heaven. Having 100+ of LA's top chefs, restaurants, wineries, breweries, and more all in one place is already impressive, but the fact that everything is unlimited takes it to another level. Bites, cocktails, desserts every few steps I found a new favorite. You definitely want to come hungry. This year's host chefs from Agnes Restaurant & Cheesery brought such a great energy to the event with their tent of cheese. It was also my first time at the Rose Bowl and I loved how they used both the courtyard and the stadium. It made the whole event feel open, fun, and easy to explore. Parking was surprisingly simple too as it was free in Lot F, which was a huge plus. What really makes this event stand out though is the purpose behind it. Knowing that every ticket supported Union Station Homeless Services, which helps fund housing and critical resources, makes the experience feel even more meaningful. What an awesome experience! I got to eat, drink, and check out businesses around the venue. Parking was a breeze! I really recommend checking out the restaurant roster beforehand and making a short list of places you're interested in. Taking a look at the booths beforehand loop is a great idea, too, especially since you only have so much stomach space! The lines weren't actually that bad, even though they looked a little long. I was able to just grab a sample of ice cream while I waited for my other order. It was only about a five minute wait, so it wasn't too long. This place has a fantastic selection of businesses! First time going to this event and I have to say I'm impressed. Over 100 vendors with food, drinks, and desserts from all over LA, all set up on the field at the Rose Bowl. If you're thinking about going, just go. It's basically an all you can eat and drink situation and there's plenty to go around. I ate until I was about to pass out. My favorite bite was from Ayara Thai, their wagyu beef carpaccio was packed with flavor. Honestly though, everything I tried was really good. Best part is it's all for a great cause. Proceeds go toward helping the homeless in LA, which makes it even more worth it. I'll definitely be back next year. read more

Amazing event! Masters of Taste is a 3 hour event to try out various dishes. All proceeds go to end homeless at Union Station or something. Event started at 4pm. I got there 45 min early and line wasn't too long. VIP can enter at 3pm. Parking was free which was super nice. At 4pm, they started letting everyone in and go through security. Would be nice if security could check us before event started. As you enter, you're met with food trucks and couple booths. The main area is on the field where there are many many booths. There were all sorts of food and they were all delicious! It was all you can eat but I wanted to try all the various booths. I went to 26 different booths! I couldn't go to all of them sadly. I thought 3 hours was short but it was plenty of time. I thought each booth would have long lines but it went quick. It was a very nice event but gotta admit the general admission ticket is $200 which is pretty steep. read more

I very much enjoyed this food festival! I thought it was very well organized. The lines were never too long and I never felt like I waited that long to grab anything. The options felt endless with 100+ businesses full of foods, alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, and sweets! I recognized some vendors like Portos, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Bone Kettle. And I also got to check out new businesses that I haven't heard of before. There's free parking at the Rose Bowl. Whoa! This is definitely a food event for the hungry lol. I got the vip package and made sure to get there right at the start and stayed til they closed. 4 hours of sampling so many bites, drinks, desserts. It was pretty organized and they had plenty of spaces where you can stand, sit, get shade. They even were giving out free water bottles all event. There wasn't really something that was the best item cause I've been to a lot of the restaurants participating but if I had to choose, one of the restaurants had a really really good yellowtail crudo. This was my first food festival, and while I was concerned I might spend the entire day standing in lines, it turned out to not to have been oversold or overcrowded! I thoroughly enjoyed the food festival, with trying more delicious small bites than I could keep track of. The entire Rose Bowl was circled in booths with more in the middle. There was a nice variety of beer, wine, and cocktail booths along with the fantastic food offerings. I can honestly say that I couldn't try every booth I wanted to as they were just too many to choose from! Really great afternoon and amazing foods to try and plan out your future dinner outings. This was a fundraiser, so it felt better stuffing yourself, knowing it was supporting a good cause. Great time and I would not hesitate to do this again!! read more

First timer and I was really overwhelmed and should've had a thought process of how I was going to chow down. Totally should've split each plate with a friend. And if you really liked something, get your own plate. Didn't even make it halfway through the event before I got super full. But, I do have a smaller belly and I do not like to eat till I am stuffed. You need to come here on a leg day workout and super empty tummy lol. I did appreciate the variety of food and beverages served. My favorite was the burger posted in the photo. I love gourmet food trucks! The lines to get in could've been a bit more organized. This event is VERY well put together, they allot the perfect amount of tickets so the lines are short and fast, you can move freely about the grounds and easily find staff to ask questions. I hope they keep the same ticket counts! There was a great balance of food and drink options which was great and the food masters were all eager to share details about their food or drinks that you could feel the passion. There was a very good balance of cuisine-types, and I to see even more of LA's most coveted restaurants next year! A majority of stalls were sold out around 6pm, it must be so tricky to plan food for large crowds but definitely missed at few spots! I do recommend arriving at the ticket time, as we did, because time really does fly when you're having fun (not to mention, the music was great)! What an awesome festival! For starters the vendors were on point as over 100 of the top Culinary, Beverage, and Sweet Masters in the Greater Los Angeles area were providing food and beverage. One of my favorites were Harold & Belle's as their oysters were delicious! Chaaste family market was also sarap as their tastings were refreshing and had the perfect pop! The other tastings were not disappointing as each one had their own special flavors to enjoy! The venue was perfect as the rose bowl did a great job hosting. I had the opportunity to checkout this top tier event at the Rose Bowl. This is my first time at such as event. I was thinking it'll be another 626 event but I was surprisingly surprised. I arrived at about 3 ish and found that it included free parking near the Stadium. Upon entering I got a mess kit which I thought was cool but after opening it I was hoping they'd provide throwaway utensils instead of dealing with the mess kit. I saw a few food trucks outside the stadium and stands serving desserts, pizzas and sake. At first thought I was thinking is this it. Was I lining up in this long line for a few trucks but that was the beginning of an extravagant food event. Upon entering the stadium it was a wonderful sight to see so many vendors. You had main course dishes, desserts, sushi. I was not expecting to get tipsy but the drink assortments from beer to wine to hard liquor and mixed drinks vendors were all super nice and willing to explain exactly what their dish consisted of. The entire setup was great. All the lines were not overly long especially if you came in at 3pm ish. It's an event you'll want to come with good friends and family that enjoy good food. Each participant has to be minimum 21 years old to enjoy all the alcohol. There were VIP seating areas that had desserts and alcohol. If you weren't wearing a VIP wristband it's fine as there are seating in the middle of the field area with games that allow for people to intermingle with other foodies. Recycling was a factor at this event as there were 3 trash cans where volunteers manned them and helped people to throw their trash in the correct bins. Also all proceeds from the event goes to the Union Station homeless services which is great. Definitely an event to checkout. Every single vendor provided top notch foods for the event. Each ticket is a bit pricey but where the proceeds go is worth it. Plus you get to try many restauranteurs, up and coming alcohol companies. You'll be filled with joy when you leave. This is one of my favorite events of the year! It is a fair at the Rose Bowl with many food & drink vendors. You pay one price and are able to frequent the food & drink vendors as often as you want. The food & drink vendors are there publicity and to support a charitable cause as they do not receive any money from the price of admission since the event is a fundraiser. read more

This was such a cool event! Weather was beautiful and sunny, I absolutely loved the vibes and all the different booths. My favorite food vendors were La Boheme for the salmon crudo which was perfectly seasoned and the flavors were harmoniously balanced. Also loved Per L'ora and their beef tartare. There were lots of alcohol vendors but unfortunately I was unable to drink today. Wish I had the opportunity to try them, maybe next year! read more

An all around amazing event with delicious food, company, and for charity! Tickets are definitely pricey ($225 for VIP & $155 for GA before online fees), but the proceeds of the event go to Union Stations Homeless Services in Pasadena. Yelp kindly gave me a VIP ticket, as well as a $15 discount code to buy additional tickets for my friends and family. The parking was free which is always a plus. We arrived at 3pm and there was quite a line for Yelp entry, but didn't take longer than 15min. Fortunately this was the longest line I had to wait in for the rest of the event. There were SO MANY different vendors that there is something for everyone! Many vendors had multiple options to choose from, and everything was delicious! My favorites were the cute mini drinks from Sunright, the ribs from Great Maple, and the Salmon Crudo from Soulmate. Cant list them all but I took pictures of most items. We made the mistake of trying everything we saw in the beginning instead of sharing so we were too full to try some vendors inside, definitely PACE YOURSELF! The staff was helpful, the music the DJ played kept the vibes going, and everyone we made conversation with were so friendly. The atmosphere is just absolutely enjoyable with everyone having a great time! So glad Yelp introduced me to this annual event, my friends and I are already excited to come back next year. This is my second year coming and it's worth every penny. All the proceeds go to the United Station Homeless services. The variety of food is like no other. Unlimited tasting and drinks are my favorite. So what better way then to support this event. We got VIP for this so we were able to enter at 3:00pm before the General access which is 4:00pm. There must of been well over 100 + vendors. Which some of those includes: Granville, Cakes by Chante, Champions Curry, Casa Cordoba, Gus's Fried Chicken, Santa Monica Seafood, Ventura Spirits, Lavo Ristorante, Gooey Center Bakery, Cocina y Calaveras and much much more. There were benches and barrels all around the field. The Rose Bowl hosted this event again, the staff was very attentive and they kept every inch of this event extremely clean. This was my first time going to this event. I almost didn't go because it's a bit pricey but I'm glad I did. I got the ViP because that's how I roll. I liked being able to go in an hour earlier. There was also a small vip area with a few extra vendors and seating area. There were some food trucks when you first walked in and tables. This is a premier food event and I can see why the tickets are so pricey. We arrived at 4pm and were able to find parking quite easily across the small bridge. Since I had a VIP ticket there was not a line. The gracious hosts at the entrance were able to resolve a small issue we had with tickets immediately. A word of warning to anyone reading this is not to buy tickets from anyone except the authorized brokers as the individuals on their Facebook and Insta pages are scammers. The food and drink selection was excellent, especially if you are a meat eater. They had everything under the sun including steak, brisket, seafood, ribs etc. The festival featured several food trucks as well. In terms of the drinks, they had plenty of options including beer wine mixed drinks and whatever else your pallet desires. In fact they had several restaurants making signature drinks so you can definitely get pretty tipsy if not careful. For those who do not drink they event featured mountain valley spring water and several options for boba and aqua Fresca. One of the things that I observed that was really impressive was the way that recycling was well executed and a dedicated team of people were instructing patrons on how to separate their trash. To summarize I cannot hype this up enough. The profits benefit the Union Station so it's a win win. read more

Where do I start... All you can eat (unless they run out) and drink (unless you pass out) for 3 hours. There is an option to enter an hour early to avoid crowds, but we decided to bypass that and were not disappointed. There were some lines, but they moved rather efficiently and if you have 2 people, you can trade off standing in one line while the other goes to a booth with a short or no line (this worked perfect for us). Most of the food was really tasty, although there were some duds. Only 1 or 2 booths ran out before we got to try it. There was also no shortage of alcohol, regardless if your preference is beer, alcohol, or liquor. The tickets were not cheap, but the parking was free and the cost went to charity. This is a fantastic event! It's well organized with a great variety of amazing culinary masters from all over Los Angeles. Topping on the cake is that ALL PROCEEDS go to a great cause-- the Union Station Homeless Services! It is an all you can eat, all you can drink event, so we made sure to take an Uber. Adulting... yay! The VIP tickets get you in an hour early and it's awesome. The check-in lines moves pretty quickly and once you're inside you can zoom through all the lines. Even after the VIP hour, there were only a couple (maybe 3?) that had lines longer than five minutes. We went to almost every vendor with the exception of a couple due to allergy restrictions. Here are my top three and I am looking forward to going to all these places in the near future to experience dinner: 1) Kato Restaurant - served: Smoked Hamachi Soy-Pickled Cucumbers Scallion-- holy cow! This was just full of flavor and the fish just melts in your mouth. Hands down my favorite dish here. Delicious! After talking with the chef, we learned that they usually serve a 10-course dinner at the restaurant and it changes often. Can't wait to check it out!! 2) Bone Kettle - served: Steamed Oxtail Dumplings with a wine reduction, maitake mushrooms, mizuno and sesame seeds. -- Delicious!!! I could have eaten 10 of these! The oxtail was so tender and savory and the sauce was a perfect complement. We were happy to hear that they are close by our house. 3) Louise's - served: Beef Carpaccio with Tonnato, fennel Tops and Blossoms. Nice presentation and elegant flavors. The beef was very tender and it was fresh. The fennel gave a nice touch to the finish. We'll be checking out this place soon. This is a great event that highlights some of the best culinary masters and gives you the opportunity to try them and enjoy the day on the UCLA Football field, which is fun. Now this event was a blast!!! I highly recommend anyone to go this event yearly due to its great cause and awesome food!! MOT reminded me of a Saturday afternoon at Costco with all the vendors giving samples. But 1000x better with all the alcohol you can drink!! The food was great since there was some experienced chefs and well known companies out there. Tons of craft beer and wine as well. First time at this event for me. I volunteered for the event since it was a great cause and it had great food! Lots of work but well planned. So many yummy restaurants. I've been to a lot of food festival and this was a good one. Not as much seafood as others but I had some favorites. The fried chicken and mashed potatoe from Poppy & Rose was 1 of my favs. Sidecar doughnuts had fresh donut holes w/huckleberry sauce, yum!! The gelato place was refreshing since it was so hot out. The Dim sum place started w/a "L" had great choices as well. Maple at Desc. Gardens had fried chicken with beignet which was also a good choice as well as the BBQ place. So much food but all so good! As soon as we got in line someone walked by and scanned the tickets, and a few minutes later someone walked by to give us the entrance wristbands - we got in right at 4pm - extremely well organized. I've attended this event twice and loved every minute! The food, the people, the music. It's a fun, easy, not crowded food and wine festival. And - it supports a good cause. Ending homelessness in the San Gabriel Valley is no easy feat. And I feel like I'm making a difference (while getting my day drink on....) What more can you want? So many options for any taste. The quality of the restaurants, chefs, mixologists, wineries and breweries are top-notch. The venue and ambience are the best. It isn't crowded, the people and vendors are happy to be there, and there is just generally a great vibe. Maybe that's owing to the fact that 100% of the proceeds goes to ending homelessness.
