The cold beer and white sangria were so refreshing on that hot summer day. It was exactly what I needed after spending a whole morning walking the city. I tried their Valencia Paella and gambas! The Valencia paella was definitely an interesting take on paella! Normally I get the seafood but why not try the one that was created in the city I was visiting. The rice was nicely seasoned and not too salty. The chicken was good and not dry! The rabbit was the only part I was not too ecstatic about. It was different for sure but not bad. I loved the beans in the paella also! The gambas were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing with the squeeze of lemon! My only issue was the placement of the seats, which is more a problem regarding my introversion rather than the restaurant itself. You know going in that you have an option of sitting indoors or outdoors, and being the adventurer I was, I wanted to sit outside to have a more unique experience (and it was very hot). But throughout my meal, I felt uncomfortable with people walking passed me so closely as I ate. If I had the chance to eat here again, I'd probably go indoors next time but otherwise I had very sweet staff assist me and a delicious Spanish meal that was filling and kept me satisfied for the remainder of the evening.

It was a no-brainer once we got there. We had to order a very traditional recipe with a rabbit, of course. But before the payer came out, I had to try some of their oysters. Six raw oysters on the half shell... They were quite large at that... Were a fantastic way to start the meal. And once the paella arrived, we were not disappointed. I make paella at home. I just can't do it the way they do it here. In addition to being a fantastic place to have paella, this restaurant sits along a walkway that borders the beach and Mediterranean Sea. It was a picture perfect place to eat and have great food.

But it was his attitude that ruined the entire meal from start to finish! By this time, I was so done with his rude behavior we kept the wrong entrée. My partner, who speaks some Spanish, did his best to order everything in Spanish and I was polite, smiled, and tried my best to engage with him as our hotel highly recommended this restaurant. but there was nothing we could do to make this man even pretend he gave a damn about our table. We shared the seafood paella and the traditional paella. I mostly had the seafood paella but I did try a few bites of the traditional one with rabbit and escargot. The seafood was fresh, and there was a healthy amount of prawns and squid. If you're not really into seafood or can't stand too much of the aroma or essence of seafood, do NOT get it because it is strong. After a while I got sick of the seafood flavor, which isn't a knock on the food, but a lesson that paella simply needs to be complemented with other foods. The traditional paella was quite good as well, and neither had rice that was too burnt (which I liked). I also didn't think the escargot and rabbit were particularly special. Again, portions were tremendous and I think we all left very, very full. Keep in mind that you need at least two people ordering paella in order to get it. It runs at about 18€ per person for any paella, which isn't on the low end, but you do get filled up since it's all rice.

So pretty much you sit where you want or ask a server to be polite, then you sit order drinks and if you want the tapas from the bar - they are self serve or as I mentioned the fresh from the kitchen warm tapas will come from the kitchen and a server will come to your table and offer them. You will be charged by how many food picks or spoons are on your table and that's it. It's super easy and quick. Our parties favorites were the burger tapa, the croquetas, and the chorizo tapa. Personally I also really enjoyed the sausage tapa, pizza tapa and the anchovies tapa. Ask the waiter behind the counter for any recommendations. The bacon wrapped croqueta tapa was delicious too I didn't take a photo because I immediately ate it!! They have clean rest rooms.
