We purchased another home in Saint Augustine and needed fencing - Matazas didn't show up when they said they would, the price was higher than their competition, were a month out and wanted half down before they would set a date for replacement. I think what disappointed me the most is the feedback from the company that pulled the condescending- I'm sorry you were disappointed that we went from good to bad... just say we are sorry and leave it at that. I got responses like "we can come out in 3 weeks to give you an estimate" or " our salesman will call you back". I found an ad for Matanza. Hello everyone, I just wanted to leave a comment about this lovely fence company. We wanted a board on board 6ft wooden fence, and we got at least 10 estimates if not more the prices ranged from 5800 to 12,000+ They were not the lowest estimate (but close) and paying by credit card instead of cash made it go up a little more, but it was so so worth it. We dealt with Nick, Nicole and Paul, and they were all so wonderful, When Nick came out for the estimate he just gave you a good vibe,, he was polite, very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions, and he got back to us quickly with an estimate (thank you Nick). Then we spoke to Paul and Nicole on the phone getting the financial part and the date and time set up (thank you Paul and Nicole) and the workers are very good workers, two men came out and had the fence completed in barely over a day, the even worked in the rain on the second morning. The whole experience was easy, quick, and stressless. And no I am not a relative and this is not a fake review. They don't know anything about city codes. Asked for 50% deposit (over $3K). They still have the money since August 2020 and refuse to honor their contract. Stopped responding to BBB complaint. I got 3 bids and Paul was the lowest on 210' of three rail commercial grade fencing. On the day of installation, he told me that he wanted to curve the side of the fence that faces the street to match the radius of the lot. This made a tremendous difference in making the fence graceful and flowing. It greatly enhances the property. Paul, his son Nick and assistant, Arturo left nothing behind but our beautiful new fence.
