Recently, stands with expensive "designer fleas" have started to sell there. I see no point in paying loads for used stuff. Also, some stands sell new things "made in China". why? The best deals are done where the boxes full of unorganized things are. You can haggle with the sellers and leave happily with an old treasure. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Went in to try Hello Good Pie but they were closed got a gelato instead so the trip was not a total bust. The gelato was amazing! A small cup was the perfect amount. Mathallen has a variety of places to eat and a large coffee bar along with fresh meats and produce. The neighborhood around it is fun to walk thru and has a bunch of street art. There are more shops and reaturants around Mathallen and a park as well. read more

Mathallen har alt. Det vil si ALT! Gode smaker, lukter og engasjerte mennesker. Til tross for mye opp og ned med hallen har den ihvertfall for meg blitt bare bedre og bedre! Og så maten og varene er dyrt? Kvalitet skal som kjent koste. Er du ikke fornøyd med det så er det bare å fortsette med å handle dine råvarer på Rema 1000. Oslo trengte Mathallen! Har vært på slike steder i andre land, og det var på tide vi fikk dette tilbudet. Har spist på den spanske tapasrestauranten der og det var helt nydelig. Litt minus for grell belysning (lysrør fra utsiden av restaurantene), men ellers helt topp. read more

Had my Julebord there with work, we had a nice dinner with a mix of plates from several restaurants around, I was a bit disappointed with the quantity of food in the plates, and with the courses. But it was good overall. :) read more
