I've been a customer of Mathews Harley-Davidson for 20+ years. When you walk into the dealership, they are very attentive with greeting you and asking if you need assistance. Also, when you enter you find that it's very inviting with their displays appropriately set up to ensure you don't miss the next new item to purchase. They also have a very nice section of items that are discounted, which I never miss browsing through. And you have to make sure you go upstairs and visit the museum. It has motorcycles, posters, and cabinets with trinkets that displays the history of Harley-Davidson, with personal history of Mathews HD who has been in business over 70 yrs. Being that my maiden name is Mathews, it was important to me to stop and get a Harley T-shirt from here. I had a medical conference to attend in SoCal and my husband made sure that we made time to stop and shop. Staff is super friendly, store is very clean and nicely done. Unfortunately when you go to their website and order, the t-shirts come with some TX Harley shop name. Not sure how to fix that other than calling store direct? Great place, great people! read more

The return policy for riding is extremely unfair. Basically no rescheduling available even though multiple days are needed and it is extremely hot of a summer. Not to mention that the hours given were incorrect, then when we arrived early because of their mistakes, they were rude about it. The parking was a disaster because of their attitude before we could get inside the lot! That was a definite sign-20/20. Oh but wait there is more! This is my 3rd bike with Mathews and my last. The greatest experience I had was with bob. And is the only reason I'm not putting one star. Just recently picked up a 1200 sportster for my girlfriend and after a few days of riding she smelled gas so I checked it out and sure enough found damage on the fuel line from the tank to the manifold. I took photos and sent to harley and they refused to replace it claiming it was me who did the damage since the bike went threw full inspection. Their inspection missed the jb weld that was used on the manifold bolt that the fuel line bracket attaches to so now gotta replace the manifold. It's a simple 123 dollar fuel line that had 9000 miles of vibration damage. Even the lip shows damage. I just noticed they used gasket maker on the exhaust instead of a $3 exhaust gasket they stock plenty of. I'm glad I found these issues. I'm now considering small claims court as the issues keep tumbling in. This will be last time I buy from Mathews unfortunately. read more

First time here, huge historic Harley-Davidson pictures from the past. Show room is very clean and organized. I was looking for a t-shirt for myself and found a nice one. Customer service was fast and friendly. Great selection of t-shirts with 3 different patterns on the back of t-shirts to choose from. Worst customer service I have ever received from a Harley Davidson dealership and that was from one of the owners. The only reason I go here is because it is close by and the parts department attendant is amazing. Went in and bought a jacket for my son for his birthday . Three days later tried to exchange for a vest but they didn't have the right one so tried to get my money back and the kid working there said all sales were final and I should have been informed of that policy . She said who helped you and I said you did so she just refused and said that is the policy and I will get store credit . Problem is I don't have a Harley . She said it was posted and when we found the posting it was a small sticker on the back of a computer facing away from customers . What a rip off 150$ lesson learned . Please go elsewhere. And I'm still waiting for the manager to call me back . Go to another store they have but three bikes to look at anyway. read more

Stopped at this location on our way home from Yosemite as it was right off of the freeway. Greeted right as we entered by the staff working. The staff helped us find what we were looking for and informed us they had a museum upstairs. The museum was awesome and had a lot of history that any HD fan would love. My first time st this location, I've never had a reason to come in because I don't own a bike, I don't ride. I was here to purchase gifts for my boyfriend's dad for his birthday since he is getting the new street glide. The sales person, Donna was very understanding of my lack of knowledge about everything basically so she used just normal terms I was able to understand and she took her time explaining why I would want one over the other or why I may not need to purchase it at the moment. Donna was helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the products in the store from the sale price to the events happening which means sale by the way. I'll definitely come back here to get more gift items for HD lovers and it's a store that had a lot of variety of things as well as a showcase of older bikes up stairs which was worth checking out! She stated that she was not interested in doing mechanical work on my bike because I did not purchase it there. They are just not friendly and helpful like Fresno Harley is. They are super friendly and didn't give me any grief for being a non-harley rider. The newly remodeled store is beautiful. Lots of bikes, clothing and accessories to drool over. The gem though is the museum upstairs. Top notch! Awesome classic bikes and other bits of nostalgia all displayed beautifully in glass cases. Very, very nice. Could be the best customer service I've experienced in the last 5 years. Made purchasing a 2021 street glide as seamless as possible. They found the one I wanted at a different shop and took care of everything even had it delivered to me for a surprise gift. Paperwork took 15 minutes. Very nice welcoming staff. Three stars because I special ordered a brake master cylinder rebuild kit for a 1990 fltcu tour glide (dual disc front 11/16 bore) they special ordered a rebuild kit for a single disc front (5/8" bore) 25% restocking fee on special order items I rather just keep it for my next build project instead of wasting gas driving there. Clean store with friendly and helpful employees. I have frequented this Harley store location because it is closest to my work and because my close friend Bill raves about the owners. I have to say Bill is right, the owners and employees are always great to me when I go to the store. Great selection of merchandise, great service, and parts department. They sponsor or support many local rides, and have these off the hook sales twice a year that will blow your mind. They have a very cool museum upstairs that is a must see. Needed supplies to do the seasonal service on my putter. It's impossible to price shop since Harley is pretty locked down on price so I guess the knowledge and personality are what make the sale. So name drop Ashley spent the time to fill my shopping list and schmoozed the mrs so everybody happy. Well maintained building and parking lot and business was clean throughout. A couple of weeks ago myself and girlfriend went to purchase a seat for a bike we bought elsewhere. From the start a employee implied that we shouldn't have trusted the dealership inspection were we bought the bike. I thought this tO be odd. But chalked it up to trying to make their self look better. No big deal I guess. But the employee was arrogant and really uncomfortable to deal with. I kept my thoughts to myself for the most part while she was trying to up sell my girlfriend on a seat we didn't even want. My girlfriend was trying to be polite and not disagree witH her but it wasn't what we went there for or wanted. The employee was rude and obnoxious. As we were leaving I made a comment about hoW I didn't like there place and said in a few choice words how I thought that placed lacked professionalism and how poorly dressed the employees were there. Upon leaving the store. And outside already the employee runs up to me gets in my face and tells me she will not let me call her names or disrespect her. I calmly said I didn't call her any name. But she wasn't having it. Followed by three poorly dress want to be Harley T shirt gangsters. One saying to the other should I call the police? Lol. I didn't like how she approached me and really was leaving anyway. But they really handled the situation very ghetto like. I've lived in this town all my life and pass thAt pace a zillion times and the first time I go there. It's a terrible experience. The other Motorcycle dealerships I've been too I've never had a problem with them and they are much more professional. They might have a new building at Matthews. But they certainly have the ghettO downtown on Belmont mind set. I e shared this experience with other motorcycle riders and motorcycle business owners and not to my surprise each and everyone of them said they heard negative experiences about Matthews quite a few times. I will never recommend them to anyone. Very poor experience. That is all. read more

Being a military family, we've been to many, MANY Harley Davidson dealerships AROUND THE WORLD and always but merchandise with that location (city and state). We always buy clothing for our girls and gear for ourselves. It is always a comforting pleasure to know that Harley Davidson supports the military by giving a military discount. IMAGINE my dismay when my husband told me that at his first visit to Mathews (we just moved here a few months ago) he was informed that they DO NOT give a military discount. It is especially disconcerting when we received a military discount in San Diego which is a very big military town whereas here there are not as many military folks. Very sad. Especially considering that there are other motorcycle stores that do offer military discounts and so we will be taking our business there. We always give our continued patronage to establishments that offer our military folks a discount. read more

Called yesterday to have some work done to my motorcycle. The lady in service asked if I had any aftermarket accessories ie. handlebars, exhaust etc. I said yes. Took my bike in for a recall ,asked them to look at the peeling paint on the inner faring and the tour pack lock. they told me straight up, you didn't buy it here, you don't bring it here for service work. Harley won't cover it under warranty and we won't eat it. I do admire that they were straight forward about it, but I did get the feeling that they really didn't want my business or care if I ever came back. I do buy parts there now an then,when I can't get them online. the parts guy seems to be the only cool person in the place. read more
