This used to be the home of AIM, but Sandy sold the company to Gateway Learning Group in October…read moreand the transition has been incredibly smooth. I especially love Chelsea in scheduling, she's wonderful! If a session is cancelled by the BT, she works really hard to find a substitute, it's much appreciated by us. If you're on the fence about ABA, try it! It's so much better than anything the school district has done for my son. He started at AIM at age 5 and has benefited greatly from ABA services. Unlike the school district where goals and programs revolve around the institution, ABA caters to the individual. As a parent you are able to make the goals and decide what you want to work on. They do a fantastic job at creating individual programs catered to your child. My son has flourished with the help of ABA. I recently talked to my doctor who has a son with autism the same age as mine and never used ABA. She was telling me how difficult the transition to middle school has been and I told her that it was seamless for my son because he had an entire team helping and supporting him. They have helped him over the years with many different goals designed to help promote independence and help him improve his social skills. When people tell me how well he's doing and comment on his behavior, social skills, or independence, I always say it's thanks to his years of ABA. It's not always easy for him, but everyone supports him as a team and cheers for his successes. He's incredibly encouraged and supported by his wonderful team at Gateway. I would not hesitate to recommend the services and staff here. I'm a big fan :) Gateway is a company that originally started in the Bay Area and expanded down here last year. They offer a range of services and all of the staff I've encountered are great. We have a fantastic supervisor in Melanie, and my son loves working with her and the BTs he has had the last couple years. They do an extensive amount of tracking and documentation. And best of all, they work with most insurance companies. They handle everything as far as the contracts go. There is very little paperwork that you need to do, it's great.

My four-year-old son (level 3 autism, ADHD, semi-verbal) received in-home ABA therapy through Kyo…read morefor several months. Based on what we later discovered on our home security cameras, I believe he was subjected to repeated inappropriate conduct by his assigned behavior technician. We are in the process of contacting news agencies. This review is a sincere warning to current and prospective clients. Please read it carefully and make your own decisions. The technician assigned to our home, Alex, was not providing structured therapy during many sessions. The footage shows that during periods when we were not directly in the room (we have more than one child with special needs and were moving between them), Alex engaged in repeated physical interactions that crossed clear boundaries we had already set. These include: * prolonged tickling that continued after my son clearly said "teacher stop," tried to push his hands away, and became distressed * repeated physical contact on or very near private areas (front and back) * covering my son with a blanket and reaching underneath it while he was on the bed * placing hands around my son's neck during play, at one point causing him to gag * placing a pillow over his face * encouraging my son to climb onto the top bunk and jump off, despite explicit instructions that this was not allowed due to prior injuries * rough handling on a sensory swing that resulted in falls that were seemingly intentional My son fell multiple times. In some clips, he says he is hurt. None of these incidents were reported to us. There had also been a prior incident where my son fell from a swing and hit his head in the presence of his supervising BCBA, Pashence Columbus. No incident report was provided. After that, I made it very clear: no swinging, no tickling, and maintain appropriate physical boundaries. Those instructions were not followed. During this same period, my son's behavior changed dramatically. He developed aggression, began hitting, started using language we do not use in our home, and began waking up with night terrors. The change was severe enough that he underwent neurological testing and was prescribed medication while doctors tried to determine the cause. At the time, we had no explanation. After reviewing the footage and terminating services with Kyo, many of these behaviors improved almost immediately. We have preserved the video evidence. Law enforcement has already been to our home, and multiple agencies are now reviewing what occurred. We have also been informed that the technician is no longer employed there. We are still dealing with the long-term effects of what our son experienced. I am not making broad claims about every ABA provider. I am sharing what happened in our home. What I will say is this: families should not assume that in-home therapy is being properly supervised simply because it is labeled as clinical care. Oversight can vary, and parents should verify what is actually happening. If your child is receiving services, especially if they are non-verbal or developmentally delayed, pay close attention, set clear boundaries, and verify. I wish I had checked sooner.

Our Event Coordinator, Katey, was exceptional. She is a true event professional who provided outstanding guidance and support from start to finish. She took the time to ensure we had everything we needed to create the perfect event, making the entire planning process seamless and enjoyable. The food was outstanding. The variety of menu options was impressive, and every item was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The hot dishes were served hot, the cold dishes were perfectly chilled, and the contemporary presentation elevated the entire experience. Chef Karla, Chef Dan, and their culinary team did an amazing job. Our event was held in the Sunrise Suite, which is the perfect setting for a cocktail party--especially at sunset. Although we brought a few decorative touches of our own, the space is truly event-ready, with stunning panoramic views and a beautiful outdoor deck that our guests thoroughly enjoyed. Our bartender, Damon, was warm, personable, and incredibly hospitable. Our server, Bunny, was friendly, attentive, and efficient. He anticipated our needs throughout the evening, and we never had to ask for a thing. Every detail was handled flawlessly. It was truly a privilege to host such a successful event while supporting an incredible nonprofit organization that serves our community with such compassion and dedication. We wholeheartedly recommend TERI's catering and event services. They are simply impeccable!

Santa Margarita Elementary School in Oceanside, Camp Pendleton…read more Last year my son went to P-K, and this year T-k. Every staff member at the school has been amazing. The Principal and Vice Principal, the front office staff, the school nurse, and all the teachers ; they constantly try ( and succeed) at finding the best ways to communicate, and be approachable for the parents and students. There are policies and practices for keeping the students safe and accountable. The learning goals are set and worked towards daily. And everyone smiles and is genuinely friendly, so I don't think that'd be possible constantly unless it was a healthy environment. I'm very grateful for the time my son spends there.

No luck, front desk said same thing e-mail would be sent! At this point I'm super upset! long story short, I end up driving to the school district office I met Martha a sweet lady in front desk she got me all I needed right away and even offer to scan and send to my email to facilitate the process. She apologized for others lame communication and lack of work, and went above and beyond to make sure I left with everything I needed! She made me feel she was there to help me and guide me, I kid you not i came in upset and left happy!! This lady deserves a big raise or promotion!! If I could I would give her a big hug!! Her name is Martha Fregoso Just because of her I give a 5 star! Libby Elementary gets ZERO!
