In the beginning, I wasn't a fan of the small amount of additional homework. However, after time, I…read moresoon realized that the program was greatly helping me and my little brother. When you sign up, the instructor Steve, will give the new student a placement test to base where they will start in the program. Instructor: The instructor (students call him "Mr.Steve") that runs Kumon of Cheshire is kind, caring, patient, and will assist a student anytime. I am currently in the program on Level I, almost level J ( algebra, geometry, and a little bit of pre-calculus). Any time I or other students are in need of assistance, he is always there to help with the math. He goes out of his way to thoroughly explain the work to the student assuring that they understand what they are doing before they leave. I find the program to be extremely useful every day. The extra work pays off big time and it has also gotten me and my little brother way ahead of other kids in our classes. My little brother is doing 6th almost 7th grade math and he's only in 4th grade. Overall, the public school systems don't teach what they should in math, I greatly appreciate my parents making the right decision to sign us up.

I would recommend this center. With Kumon, his school has been more willing (maybe because it is another professional- not a parent) to listen. The Kumon owner and his staff have been very supportive of my son and my son is excited every time we go (Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings)! As a parent, I want my son to be excited to learn and Kumon is helping me to accomplish that goal.

Both experiences, campus & online, were fantastic, never having a problem that I can remember. The staff helped me anyway they could and the professors, especially in grad school were extremely knowledgeable, professional and easy to get a hold of. I've read the bad reviews on this website but living in the Waterbury CT area more than 1/2 my life (covering over 30 years) and working with many Post U graduates in the finance area for years at various companies I haven't heard of a problem. TIP: When the partner of a Connecticut CPA firm sends his daughter to Post to get her accounting degree that speaks volumes.

My experience at Post University was great until recently. I successfully completed my associate…read moredegree there and planned to continue on to earn both my bachelor's and master's degrees. However, I was informed that I would need to pay out of pocket for the remainder of my bachelor's degree. Unfortunately, I have not received much assistance with finding scholarships or other financial aid options. With only a few credits remaining to complete my bachelor's degree, this has been very discouraging. Because of this situation, I no longer plan to pursue my master's degree at Post University. I am grateful for the education I received while earning my associate degree, but I wish there had been more support available to help students facing financial challenges complete their academic goals.
