The view from here of the Matlacha Pass is fantastic. Because of the causeway, the fishing here looks to be pretty darned awesome since the fish are just going right past and you can pull 'em right out. There are only a small number of parking spaces and if they're full, you're SOL. Serious bummer because this is a pretty solid view. The park has some shady spots for fishing, restrooms and easy level ground that is completely wheelchair accessible. And no, I didn't see any bats today. Despite the size, this gem of a park has some great amenities and features. It's fully ADA accessible. It's location along Matlacha Pass makes it great for fishing. Of course, it's adjacent to the bridge, which is known as one of the world's most fishingest bridges. The park has restrooms with a covered porch and two benches. The big draw for me was the bat house. I wanted to learn more about the bats. The park has a great informational sign. I discovered: 1. The bats here are Brazilian Free-Tailed Bats and are found throughout most areas of Florida and 2: A single bat can eat up to 3000 insects a night.

We were not fishing but Captain Karl deffinatly knows where the fish are at! This was one of our most memorable experiences in Matlacha. Florida. We went on Monday and then went back on Wednesday and rented Kayaks and had an awesome time exploring on our own. Matlacha Boat Rides and Rentals not only does boat tours, dolphin watch tours, but they also rent kayaks, stand up paddle boards, sail boat rentals, and skiff rentals. They also do fishing trips for beginners to experienced anglers. Captain Karl was so knowledgable and even showed us private beaches that had no people on them! How cool is that? Matlacha Boat Rides and Rentals boats are super clean, and well maintained and have a great selection of boats to rent. They also let you request the type of tour and they will customize one for you. They are located at Angler's Inn on Matlacha, Florida. We loved the time we spent on the water. We will defiantly come back. Captain Karl and his wife treated us like we were old friends of theirs. We loved it.

So many beautiful items to choose from but I bought a multi color tuxedo cat painting , since I have tuxedo cats. I would add I did see some small Trump and Desantis items at the register area but the owner has a right to carry items of their choosing, and people have a right to purchase or not. What is deeply troubling to me in previous review , is a visceral reaction which apparently entitles someone to unleash a tirade on a store owner they do not know , it defies logic. This is a lovely store and it is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

Really hesitant to give Lovegrove Gallery and Gardens anything more than a 1 star review, but I…read morefeel that a lot of her prints are worth more than the lesser rating I'm giving. The pro-Republican / Trump / DeSantis / GWBush items shut me off from wanting to contribute to a local artist, which is sad because this mix of stances can jeopardize a lot of people (tourists beware). Although there are plenty of Beatles pictures around (on canvas, on paper, on coasters), the sunsets and palm trees were just as splendid, I think the political attitude needs to be kept out of the gallery unless it's a national museum or part of an installation piece. Like a lot of users have stated, there's a disconnect between supporting your rights and supporting nature, surroundings and people. Sure, everyone is entitled to an opinion, however, the Beatles aren't the only band who promote(d) peace and love, and I feel their discography doesn't completely jive with one portion of a governing body. Do painted coconuts know what our leaders do, unless we write something creative on them before we mail them? Are the palm trees fanning the ocean and bridges as the sun sets, or are they shading something wicked from eyesight? After seeing the giant Trump 2024 flag and a corner case full of other Republican memorabilia, I can't put myself on a political bus that looks like it is going down a one way street. I know there is more out in this world than following a one track mind, even though the sculptures and colors were pretty cool. If, by chance, there were positive paintings of Democrats or Liberals alongside the canvas of DJT, I'd totally be on board with this place. Even with the slight obsession with the aforementioned Fab Four... I wonder what they would all think about facility selling their image next to "we love you, George Bush!!"??? Lennon would probably dig it and say there's nothing wrong, but what about the Quiet One (Harrison) or the snare kicker (Ringo)? Macca would probably want his face out of the picture or take 45 compeltely out of the picture. Whatever is easier to remove. Thanks for giving me ideas on creating neat pictures from memorable lyrics, Lovegrove Gallery. I wanted something new to do (and put on my wall)! It just won't be one of your pieces.

I picked it out of necessity as I did not feel like driving all the way to fort myers to get a cheaper place. They were very friendly. This place is pet friendly which is an enormous plus. Everything outside is perfectly maintained which gives the best impression! The studio is very nicely set up. It had a clean but comfortable look. Everything looks modern and updated probably because it had to be redone after the hurricane. I loved the firm mattress, the large fridge and enormous flat screen roku tv. I liked they provided popcorn which I popped in the microwave. The shower got super hot very quick so no lack of hot water. Shampoo conditioner and body wash is provided as well as a sample of body lotion. There is a coffee maker which I personally didn't use. Really liked the little gazebo to sit out. Parking was available right outside my door which was convenient. It's still slow season so it was quiet. I did not use the amenities so cannot review on that. The little minor things were: I could hear the upstairs when they'd drop stuff. You can also hear every single word of the unit next door so I went to bed and got up with those people based on noise. The bathroom would sometimes make loud bubble noises probably related to plumbing issues. The place was not fully clean, it looked like there was construction type dirt in the bathroom. Also there were some ants but it's Florida so might be normal. And the outdoor light didn't work so it was very dark walking my dog. The AC is a wall unit and very loud, the lowest allowed is 70 degrees - I wish it was less because I was hot. Great place but there's some improvements possible here and there. I'd stay here again if needed! $125 for the night was a decent price especially for the location and amenities they offer. I'm sure it's more during season, I stayed end of September on a weekday.
