The location offered a variety of restaurants in the area, along with some local beach shopping. There's a Publix right down the street which makes it easy to grab anything you may have forgotten. As far as the beach, it was clean and quiet, surprisingly not overcrowded even though there are public access areas. Only small complaint would be the thin aluminum doors to the room, allowing you to hear the noise from the street or neighbors. It's not a bother, but noticeable. We also felt the bed was a bit too worn and soft in the middle. We had to spin the mattress to make sleeping more comfortable, but once we did, it was VERY comfortable.

Tammy took care of everything I needed an more. The rooms were spotless, the staff professional, the pool was nice and the onsite Bar / Restaurant was exactly what we needed. There is live music nightly which we enjoyed. If you don't want to be close to the music, Tammy will accommodate you. The manager of the Tikki bar was always present and made sure everything was up to our standards. There is an ice maker for your convenience. Fresh, filtered water is available during open lobby hours. It is an older hotel but the amenities have been modernized. Due to the cleanliness and AMAZING staff (Tammy), we will be back.

By then, our symptoms had worsened significantly--I developed severe allergy-like reactions, and my husband's eyes became extremely red and irritated. When I spoke with the manager, Brett Sherman, he outright denied the presence of mold, offered no apology, and even laughed at me. My husband, who works in high-end real estate in Los Angeles, sent a photo of the air vents to a mold inspector he's worked with for over 20 years. The inspector said the growth strongly resembles Aspergillus, though of course, proper testing is required to confirm that. Regardless, it was completely unprofessional for the staff to dismiss our health concerns, deny the visible issue without proper evaluation, and refuse to acknowledge the inconvenience and harm caused. We weren't even offered an apology for the delay in moving rooms or the resulting illness. Attached are photos of the vents and my husband's eyes for reference.

We chose to stay in an efficiency unit, so we weren't expecting much. Our unit was fairly small with 2 beds, a full (but small) kitchen, and a decent-sized bathroom. It was all we needed, as we knew we weren't going to spend much time in the unit. The Outrigger is located right on the beach, so you walk out your door and you're on one of the biggest stretches of powdery sandy beach that I have ever seen. There's a restaurant and bar on-site with live music at night and they have a volleyball net, beach chairs to rent, and other water toys to rent or borrow. Additionally, this spot is less than a mile walking distance from a stretch of restaurants and shops, plus sidewalks to walk for days! You could walk all the way to the Fort Myer's Pier if you wanted to (which we did - about a ~4 mile walk). Like I said, the room wasn't much, but the location is great!

We also truly enjoyed coming out of the water and having our lunch under a tiki hut which sheltered us from the glorious sun! We enjoyed our time so much that we extended our vacation an extra night and the staff was very accommodating and made it happen! As a matter of fact, we have already booked a few more nights the second week of September because we can't wait until next year to enjoy a few more days in paradise! Pro tip: they have free parking on site. They are also only a few miles from a small downtown which is lots of fun. There are some parking spots under the second story but they are only for compact cars.

The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is that the counter staff person didn't seem all that interested in greeting me and said barely four words to me. Had she been more personable and welcoming, this definitely would have been a 5-star review.

Anyone looking to support a quiet waterfront community should certainly consider this gem. Parking in navigation can sometimes be tricky. So consider utilizing the paid parking and security offered by the Pineland Marina Safe Harbor next-door. The twisty windy Road past the historic post office, the Randall research center, and all the grounds of this archaeological treasure trove is worth the drive. But I would not encourage anybody to bike or walk due to limited unsafe pathways and frequent flooding. But once you find your sweet parking spot and don't have to worry about anything. Have lunch at the tarpon Lodge and then walk all through the community of pineland and gaze upon this country club-esque neighborhood that is anchored by an abandoned golf course. Local wildlife is rebounding in this potential preserve. Bird watches especially have opportunities to check rare sightings off of their ornithology list. Including spring time elusives like the Chuck Wills Widow nightjar, white pelicans, juvenile bald eagles looking for their life mates, pileated woodpeckers and so much more. And if you're lucky and you play your cards right, a local might give you a couple fishing tips and some secret spots. So always have a fishing pole and bait ready.

We are part time RVrs. We've stayed at most Encore/Thousand Trails throughout Florida. We've had memorable moments at every park, but Tranquility Lakes is by far the best Thousand Trails/Encore RV Park we've stayed at. This is a gated community with a nighttime guard. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The staff is always coordinating day and evening events for families, children's, and even date nights. All inside the park. No need to drive anywhere else. The main office even has a snack/drinks area with coffee should you not have time to run to the store. You even get FREE wifi, and it works. All of the employees work in sync to make sure we have all our needs met. The sites are all concrete and very well maintained. There is ample space between sites. Every site is always clean when you check in. Even the dumpster bins and spaces are very clean. Same goes with the laundry rooms. It is not an exaggeration, we try to stay at this RV resort every chance we get. From the clubroom to the pickleball courts, to the pools, they are in excellent shape and always clean. The pools are also very well maintained and ample enough for everyone. The jacuzzi is also very well maintained and clean. The park is just as nice as when they opened up several years ago. The property lake is enormous. The sun sets are to die for (see pics). There is not one thing I can say that needs improvement. The grassy areas and drains are maintained very well; no flooding at the sites. I can stay here all year around and always feel the same about this Rv resort and their staff.
