Hands down the finest professional practice that I deal with. In an age where delivery of medical services can feel rushed and impersonal the staff at Matossian in Pennington and Doylestown are always courteous, thorough and human. No question is too small and no test is performed without a full explanation. Special mention must be given to my ophthalmologist Dr. Priya Desai who while extremely busy has the unique ability to freeze time and focus on relevant issues in a kind, authoritative manner that always reassures me that a guide dog will not be in my future. Terrible experience. First visit was fine; but follow up after a procedure had me waiting over an hour and one half, with eyes dilated; then dilated again. Worst of all, I had had an Incision & Curettage calcified eye stye removal that has left permanent red lump. I will never go back. read more

The front desk receptionist was extremely rude and condescending towards me when I asked a question about insurance. After answering the phone and talking a patient about scheduling., She very loudly and openly complained about dealing with patients in general. She called them annoying and stupid. The worst part is she was training a new person. I have never been treated so poorly by office staff before. The doctor was great and requested a follow up appointment, however I will not take my son back there and I will have to switch to a different provider. There is a significant problem there with that receptionist. Only go here if if are okay being treated like trash . read more

I have been to this office twice previously, and they were not great experiences entirely because of the the office staff and the ridiculous amount of time I had to wait to be seen. ( ie well over an hour ). Yesterday I contacted them about a possible emergency. My doctor was concerned that I may have a detached retina. I spoke to someone in the office staff who said hold on and then put me on a recording device. I called back and reached that same person and she said no one is at the desk at the moment and they have my phone number and my concerns. I never heard back from them yesterday and have still not heard back from them today. My doctors office tried to reach them yesterday afternoon and they didn't call back until this afternoon. Fortunately, I found another doctor and was seen this morning. There is absolutely no excuse for this and I strongly suggest that that you consider where you're going if you want decent care. read more

I had my eyes examined in 2022 or 23 by a physician assistant. My eyes were never dilated and felt it didn't need to be done anymore. It had been many years since I'd had my eyes examined so thought procedure at changed. Don't remember getting a glaucoma test either. This P.A. was kind of strange when trying to convince me to have cataract surgery, sort of giggly. Now looking for new doctor. Had gone to Matossian for quite years. Very disappointed in the lack of care, but that's what happens when you sell out to big business. read more

Matossian Eye practice was recently sold to Prism Vision Group. The practice had been the best in the region. Sadly, while the docs are still wonderful, the practice billing department is unresponsive. I recently incurred a $366 bill that should have been covered by Medicare and supplemental insurance. Instead I was billed for it without explanation. A month later, still unresolved, I began trying to contact the billing department. We have all experienced endless telephone trees with music. Prism Vision Group took many messages over several weeks without responding once. I stopped by the local office twice to resolve this face-to-face but was told resolution was only possible by telephone. Finally, after another week with no response I paid my bill on the condition that they move me to inactive status and cancel all my appointments. I can no longer recommend this practice. read more

I recently saw Dr. DiSanti for dry eyes. She is supposed to be the new "dry eye" specialist in the office after Dr. Matossian retired. She recommended a prescription eye drop to me "REGENER-EYES", and told me that the product has amniotic stem cells in it that have been shown to "repair" the eye and patients have had success with it. She said she would call a prescription into the company and someone would contact me, which they did. I was told the product was not covered by insurance and the product was $500 for a one month supply. I was desperate and ordered it, TRUSTING what Dr. DiSanti said. I got the product by Fed-Ex. This product is a scam. The eye drops came in a very generic box with the only active ingredient as "glycerin", a common dry eye ingredient found in OTC eye drops, and REGENER-EYES is labeled as a prescription product. The box listed "other proprietary ingredients", but did not list anything else or anything to do with amniotic stem cells, which is allegedly why this product is supposed to be a big deal for dry eye sufferers. You would think they would want to market the crap out of the benefits the product provides if this product was so special, but they only said the product 'relieves dry eyes". I asked about clinical trials, and they said "the drops help people". Right, OTC eyedrops with glycerin do help some people, but they were marketing glycerin as a prescription product. The product came in a multi-dose vial preservative free bottle, not single dose vials, which raises a big question about product safety and the risk of eye infections. Other very big red flags are the fact that this product came without a package insert and it is not FDA approved. Package inserts tell you everything you need to know about a product and its risks/benefits and provide clinical trial information. This company did not provide a package insert. A product like this without a package insert says a lot....fraudulent and deceptive. The manufacturers say they won't give me money back for a $500 / month supply. Any company that doesn't offer refunds for unsatisfied customers only means one thing....they are not reputable and their product is a scam. The packaging is fishy, the product is fishy, and the company is not honest. There is no way I'm using this product in my eyes. When I spoke to Dr. DiSanti and raised all these concerns, and mentioned that I want my money back for the fraudulent product she recommended, she blew me off and continued to support this product and company. "The eye drops have been shown to help people".....so I was scammed by REGENGER-EYES and by Dr. DiSanti. I brought the product in to the office when I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Lesniak, and he even said...."yeah, this does look a little odd, the only ingredient is glycerin, which is no more than $10 OTC." Dr. DiSanti should know what she is prescribing. I feel that I should be compensated for her mistake. read more

Today when I got there I am told my appointment was cancelled (without any prior notification) I had arranged my schedule and ride accordingly. This was inconvenient. BEWARE! The optometrists are fine, and I think most of the techs are, too, but their administrative staff is a joke. If you pay your own way, be prepared to get an extra bill a month after you paid upon exiting the office from some third party billing service in Maine. If you question it, they will tell you "well we really don't know what to bill you for an appointment with an OD, until an opthalmologist (who didn't see you and doesn't even work in that office) decides later what the bill should be, so all we can do is estimate it when you leave, and charge you at the time. That's why you get an extra bill." S'cuse me, but if you don't know what to bill me at the time, WTF can't you wait until you know what to bill me to do so? This is insane. BEWARE! read more

My wife and I recently received outstanding professional exams at Matossian Eye Associates. We underwent extremely thorough exams, being subjected to some tests for the first time in our lives. The eyeglass prescriptions were spot on. The staff is very professional and we noticed, as we were leaving, a staff meeting discussing new procedures and training. This is a well-oiled professional eye care organization - one that we wish we had found many years ago. I have seen Dr. Posner for several years at the Hopewell office and just recently at the Hamilton location. Dr. Posner is fantastic, she explains everything and answers all your questions. This office is terrible. First, the staff did not tell me to leave my contacts out for a week before the exam and the doctor wanted to reschedule! I had scheduled this appointment well in advance to avoid having to take time off from work. They agreed to do a partial exam so I have to come back! Then, I waited over an hour to be seen while the medical staff sat at the back desk chatting. I listened to the front desk staff discuss their personal lives for all to hear. And the icing on the cake was a caregiver for a patient having a loud conversation on her phone in the waiting room and no staff member asked her to step outside. So unprofessional!! read more

This review is about the Doylestown location. They did a POOR job on my Cataract Surgery. Paid some $7,000 for special lenses, but, I still need glasses! They do not respond to emails or correspondence mailed to them. You're treated as cog on an assembly line. You see your Doctor for no more than 5 minutes after be fed down the assembly line being cared for by a number of different Technicians. One interesting fact is after coming here for a number of years I've never seen anyone smile! Does that tell you something? I don't recommend them and am currently seeing another Eye Doctor. read more

I can't say enough good things about this practice. I've seen 3 doctors there (matossian, desai, and rozenbaum) and the've all been thorough, professional, and caring. I've never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to be taken to an exam room and all the techs are great when they examine you. Peggy, the surgical coordinator, deserves a special award for jumping through hoops to help the patients. I've gotten emergency appointments with no hassles. I recommend this practice. My husband and I use them for our regular checkup so when my father needed help I didn't think twice. My father had cataract surgery done in Richboro. He never saw properly after that. He went back to the doctor but had no resolution. I took over and brought him to Matossian. Matossian restored his eyesight immediately!! Doctors are good but the waiting room experience is torture. The process is designed to make you wait and wait and wait, and it has nothing to due with dilation. And you are subjected to infomercials on every imaginable eye problem for several hours. Terrible experience. read more

Matossian Eye Associates uses the newest and most sophisticated equipment, much of which I've never seen before in any other eye care office! I am thoroughly pleased with the care and attention I receive from this group. Also, they specialize in dry eye technology and have the best information for a patient's dry eye needs. I recently had cataract surgery by Dr. Matossian and am very pleased with the outcome. She carefully reviews all options appropriate for each patient beofre going forward with the surgery. When it comes to my eyes you want the "Pro-bowlers" and not rookies. I had cataracts, and was referred to Dr. Matossian. After asking around I choose Matossian Eye Associates and Dr. Matossian specifically. I was very nervous about anyone doing anything to my eyes. When I am not sure about something, I fall back to my engineering training and observe the process overall and how the individuals answer my questions. If they can explain something and keep it simple, then they likely know there material. If you get a lot of technical jabber, beware. I am stunned at the processes and procedures in place. The checks and double checks. The resources available onsite. Dr. Matossian is a ball of energy! Not a back slapper, but very, very intense (don't interrupt with questions until she is done explaining - you will get the "mother knows best" look) and extremely focused. In the OR she is very much in command and yields awesome results in about 10 minutes. My Industrial Engineering brain and my eyes complement the doctor, the colleagues, the procedure scheduler/handler, and the technicians! My only advice, smile and try to relax a little tiny bit ... everyone! We tend to feed off how you occur, and the tension when techs are in the room with the doctor is a little uncomfortable. (Very minor suggestions. Very minor.) read more

I made the appointment knowing I need cataract surgery and chose them because they treat my husband's eye condition. Had great expectations that quickly soured when they failed to answer my concerns and kept pushing their agenda on me - that is to get get my eyes corrected for distance. Then NEVER addressed my questions and pushed me on insisting they we going to do the best surgery and they knew what was best for me. Whenever I objected or said I had concerns they told me that I should see my doctor for anxiety meds to calm my self down. They even were so condescending that they suggested that maybe I should bring in my husband or another family member to help me make my mind up. I am a professional, independent woman running two businesses. Eventually they reduced me to tears because I did not feel comfortable about the upcoming surgery due to the lack of answering my questions. I tried on multiple occasions to cancel the surgery and was told that I needed cataract surgery and they knew what was best for me - and if I had anxiety to go on meds. Finally the Thursday before the surgery was scheduled they had me come in again to see the doctor who again insulted me with the suggestion that I need meds to calm my self so I could get the surgery. They are so disorganized that THEY never canceled the surgery and I continued to get calls from the surgery center about my upcoming surgery that I cancelled weeks earlier. So due to their attitude I am now pushed months further out trying to get an appointment with another doctor to get my very seriously needed cataract surgery. Very disappointed. read more

FRAUD. SCAMMMERS. Called for my new client appointment and was quoted a "range" of what the appointment could be based on what the doctor had to do. You know what the doctor had to do? NOTHING. Because i have excellent vision. The front desk charged me $80. that was fine by me. Now over a week later, they call and tell me I OWE THEM 170 more dollars, that they incorrectly charged me at the front desk. Which by the way the range I was quoted for an out of pocket new client appointment was 80-120. SCAM ARTISTS. I wonder how many people pay the money after their appointment. Its ashamed that this is how they run their practice as i had a nice visit and a great exam. Now for them to call demanding more money??? What a poor business practice. If i had been quoted 260 in the beginning I never would have gone there, ever. And if you are a business and you make a mistake, you eat it, you don't call and demand the patient pay you. and seriously, to think you can charge a new patient 260 bucks for an appointment that they had nothing wrong with them. BS. This is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard of and I am so deeply disappointed in this organization. I will never be back, will never refer to them and will be reporting them to the BBB.
