I contacted your office , how many times?, and your secretary just kept asking for the same material. I got a little upset with her and asked why You haven't made a decision after 3 weeks of looking at my material. I hired some one else , and told her that, then you called me and left a message. After all this was done , and I put in a review that also explicitly says I hired someone else, you decide to take my case and email me. Have to say I felt as if I , myself was doing the majority of the work here . And Getting Mr Fendon to return my calls was sometimes quite tiresome . I simply didn't feel like I was a valued client here at anytime during our business relationship , nor did I get the feeling that this firm was on top of my case at all times. Horrible service. Rude and disrespectful receptionist. Receptionist tries to bully people into paying for your case upfront and will insult you if you don't. The receptionist told me I wasn't taking my case seriously so no one will take my case If your case isn't an easy win they'll try to charge you an upfront fee of 2600$ dollars or else they won't hear you out. Again I was disrespected and was told they wouldn't even look at my case besides a "free consultation" Stay away. not worth the insults and time you'll be waiting for a response. Expecting to set an appointment, no instead Matt didn't realize that I was connected to him and he was making disparaging comments about what little bit he heard and another sarcastic comment regarding byyyyeeeee I don't think so. When the young lady called me back I informed her what I heard and the response was that's weird.... I've called multiple times to speak with with both Mr. Fendon and a Mr Coughlin and have not been called back. I don't know if they just can't be straightforward if I don't have a case or that their staff is unprofessional, either way, they were a complete waste of time and bow I am left to decide what to do without legal counsel. These "rave" reviews seem to be from people who have few reviews on Yelp. I didn't notice that when I was looking for an employment lawyer, instead only reading that this seemed like a good practice. 1. The website "contact" form only passes on your name and phone number to a call center. Details of why you were seeking help are lost, so waste of time to complete it. 2. Call center person doesn't listen to your case. Their job is only to book you into an appointment with an available, not named attorney. 3. Drops a $250 consultation fee on you. Don't mind paying for a consult, but I'd like to know I have something of value to discuss. Paying to hear myself speak only to have a lawyer tell me no thanks, is a waste of money and $250 is ridiculous for people seeking help with employment issues. 4. Was promised that if they can't take my case, I'd be given a list of resources to "do it myself." I have that. It's called Google. It's hard to find an attorney who will represent the employee in a complex issue, so to jerk me around and not be honest and direct with me isn't right. If you're like me, keep looking. Unfortunately I chose this law office to represent me in a Workman's Comp case. I never not once in the 6 months did I get the chance to speak with an attorney everything was done thru a paralegal and what they call legal assistant. Every time I called the receptionist screened the calls and got the same reply there either not in the office or are on the line leave a message and we will get back to you! Not a chance! Would leave message to please call back it is of an important nature... Nothing!! Same results with emails. They even sent me documents involving my case but attached to those documents were someone else's documents involving personal information about that individual case as well as medical history and doctors visit notes!!!! Unreal!! I could keep going on and on about this horrible office and the kind of customer service they give their clients and to top it off they ended up taking roughly around 12 hundred dollars from me and they got me a settlement for roughly 800 hundred dollars that they took a little over 200 for themselves so the whole thing cost me besides the headache and hassle of having to deal with this horrible office and there staff!! I noticed the reviewer was Marla R., who worked for him and she was my contact person! Fake reviews do not improve your online reputation! Marla's fake review has been taken down. It is not emotion driving me to this public forum, just concern with the factual inaccuracies in his advertisements and promises. These 5 star reviews, their cases must have been taking up all his time from my case. After dragging my case out with postponements, missed deadlines and rescheduling doctor appointments, I was not expecting a negative outcome. I was relying on and trusted Matt to achieve some kind of disability settlement or at least medical treatment to support myself while I slowly deteriorate. He still took 25% of my disability paycheck until it stopped, I consulted with another disability attorney he said, "there was medical documents, motions, etc. missing from my case files", I gave up. I contacted Matt Fendon Lawfirm and he was very pleasant to speak with. I explained my workers comp situation with him and I was given some advice of what more was needed in my case. As time went on and I went to doctors, tests and referrals I then again contacted this law firm. I was called back and spoke with a lady by the name of Vicki, who then asked me questions and asked me to get back with them after I had my visit with the spine specialist. I contacted them and spoke with the intake young lady, who was very pleasant. I explained everything to her and she stated for me to send them the report from the specialist. I told the lady I would and I would also appreciate a "courtesy call" one way or the other whether they would take my case or not. I realize these firms are busy, but how many good honest people ask for a "courtesy call" and how long does it take to make one? I NEVER RECEIVED A COURTESY CALL! I got the message after 3 weeks that they were not going to take my case. I met with them on Friday March 14 when Janell Youtsey told me if I was her client she'd put in for a change of doctors to a fantastic back doctor she knew and she'd have her accountant do a wage review to ensure I was being paid 2/3 of my full wage. I signed with her then and there. On Monday March 17 I brought them my paystubs as well as an offer letter from Gallagher Bassett of $2000 a month. In late April I I was finally approved for a specialist by Gallagher Bassett who released me May 2 to full duty despite the fact that I had trouble walking from the waiting to the exam room. After I received the release I called Mrs. Youtsey who finally decided to put in the change of doctor. ? We discussed this the very first day, that I was signing on so she would apply for change of doctor and now with my case closed she's telling me it's on me to pay their specialist $500 for a review and dispute! Not to mention the wage review and correction was never done either. They had no problem taking my money but did not a damn thing to earn it. I got the offer myself from Gallagher Bassett by contacting the ICA who forced their hand, but the Fendon Law Firm did nothing for me whatsoever. read more
