I acquired these attorneys after having to apply for Social Security due to an extreme seizure disorder, migraines, and a broken back it was probably one of the hardest battles I ever had to fight over five years, but this attorney's office made it 100 times better. **Incompetent Office Staff** I attempted to setup a free initial phone consultation with an actual attorney, but was subjected to a runaround by an incompetent intake worker named "Lijia," who failed to properly document and relay my case details. In particular, this office assistant was not receptive to properly noting the information I clearly provided during our 25 minute phone screening (i.e. I had to constantly repeat myself and answer questions in a redundant manner, which is unacceptable, considering that I speak in a very clear and concise manner.) Following the initial conversation, I was specifically told by "Lijia" that I would receive a follow-up phone call from a REAL LAWYER "no later than the next day." Much to my surprise, the same assistant called me back the following morning, asking the same questions as the day before (relating to my employment experience, which I thoroughly explained,) and then insisted that I provide medical records "for the attorney to review." Really??? This ain't my first legal rodeo. There should be no reason to jump through so many hoops to get a lawyer on the phone for a free consult (unless y'all got the Johnnie Cochran of disability attorneys?) Pathetic. read more

I highly recommend working with Ober Pekas Ronstadt for your Social Security Disability case. Mine was a difficult and severe case and the team at OPR was incredible. I had a horrible experience with the gate keepers to the attorney, Lucia and Mitch, both extremely rude and an uneducated in health conditions for application of disability. The owners of this firm are really hurting themselves by having these two represent them as you cannot get to the attorney to discuss your situation until you get through the gate keepers first. please make sure you read Google reviews always read the lowest first with this firm you'll see it a repeat pattern of people stating the same negative experience. If Tifiny is a great overqualufied employee that you personally hired, well your interviewing skills need to be reviewed because this great employee forgot to file my initial claim from July 7, 2015 when it started with your firm all thr way to February 21, 2016. Than made me go file my own claim. As well as gather all my documentation documentation with the exception of 2 documents on that cd you mailed me showing me all the great work I did putting this claim together. But Lady you dont feel sorry for me and are upset about the judges decision. You dont know me from Adam. If you feel me you would be doing something to make up for the tragedy your firm caused my family. You didnt lose the home your ancestors built, for a incredibly small amount of money based off Tifiny guaranteeing me back pay and approval. We lost a $450,000 home for $30,000 based of Tifinys and Jeremy Pekas guarantee of approval. I bet you didnt have ypur elderly parents give ypu their retirement savinga based off of a lie you were told. Did you have to stand on a freeway exit holding a sign for change praying i will get $40 at least so my family doeant have to sleep in a park tonight. And is abke to at leaat eat a dollar burger once a day, is that what your doing lady. Would not recommend this firm. We asked for representation and provided them with all of the information they requested immediately. They did not return calls or respond to emails in a timely manner. There were always a lot of "I'm sorry's" and excuses for not getting back to us. After 31 days they still didn't let us know whether they would take our case or not. I would not recommend this firm. The staff is excessively rude and treats you as nothing more than a case number. They do not return calls or emails and make a long list of promises they don't deliver on. The firm is unprofessional, inconsiderate and literally just blows you off. They do not provide the free review or consultation they advertise nor do they take cases their website and blog advises they handle. It was a terrible experience dealing with them. The only person I spoke with in two weeks was the intake specialist. They never provided a consultation but referred me to a paralegal Kassandra who blew me off, never provided the review or consultation. In close to three weeks she never responded to the email she requested. Overall this was a horrible experience and a complete waste of my time. Not once in three weeks did an actual attorney in that office call me, attempt to consult or answer any questions. Kassandra was completely unprofessional and made it very clear she had no intent of providing the review that the website promises. This firm is by far the firm to go to when you need a knowledgable and strong attorney. I went to them for help after my long term disability provider decided to stop paying. Kristin Kalami and Erin Ronstadt took my case and after I had already spent over a year with my provider trying to get back my benefits. They are so knowledgable and guided me through the process. DO NOT use this firm for your disability claims. I wasted 15 months of my time with these attorneys. Their motto should be Ober, Pekas & Ronstadt "The do it yourself Law Firm". I did every bit of the paperwork with the Social Security Administration and all the other leg work. I would call them when I would receive something from SS and was told to do what they told me and to "keep them informed". I don't know if they ever even contacted SS on my behalf. My last straw was when SS wanted me to see one of their doctors about my hip and get an X -ray, which I did. I was then refused disability for a second time due to my "heart condition"???? I'm still unable to do significant work. I recently fired them and have more from them in the last three weeks to get a written release than I did for the 15 months they were "working" on my case. Oh by the way you get to see the actual attorney when you first sign on to have them represent you but you will never hear or see them again! read more

I have been dealing with this team of lawyers since 2011...at my 1st review someone I'd never meant or talked to showed up...she lost my case... now here I am still waiting for yet another review hearing..the attorney keeps asking for 30 more days to process and provide documents..she already has the info..mean while I am losing my home as of Dec 16, 2014..my health is getting worse..and no time line as to when my "NEXT" ...3rd hearing will be. The staff is great...Sylvia listens to me and shows compassion for my needs...but I have lost everything during the "WAIT"...my car...can't even afford to buy basic groceries...my case had a long history...it should have been a walk in the park to easily win..I've worked since I was 14..had enough credits with soc sec before I was 31..I will soon be fifty and homeless... I choose the WRONG firm to represent my case! When the lawyer whom showed up didn't even know my name and did lil if anything to present the fact of medical data...and seemed to know nothing and was briefing herself just minutes before the appeal in Needles...I would NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone..not even a dog!!! I was told I could not fire them or I would have last year..I should have went with Taylor and associates..I know of 4 people whom they won their cases 1st time around..because the know what they are doing..I have NEVER spoke to Caldwell or Ober..seems to me they sit in their offices and send too young and under trained and unexperinced funkies to handle hard case that really matter..it was my life and I've lost everything because I listened to their "COMMERCIALS"!!! After 3 1/2 years of waiting, I finally was going in front of judge & I can not believe how little Mr. Pekas cared about my case. He basically told me I was going to lose right before we walked in, I was not prepared for any of the Judge's questions and Mr. Pekas could have cared less about me and winning my benefits. they took my case blew a lot of smoke up my but on how good they were and would fight ..so I had a lot lot of proof when I called to see if all paperwork from doctors was in was told it was . got to court and really nothing was filed this was a 2yr+ fighting ssi ... I have both senators helping me so when they call for answers and I call ober for answers they do not care its all money to them . exp sen called me in dec as my claim was denied wanting to know when the firm had appealed my case .called firm had too wait days for a response when they did call they said they were waiting till last minute of appeal to include my spinal surgery just being done well that made sense then I was denied again started too look at all my paperwork sent too appeals court not once did they include the spinal surgery in the appeal claim so ive lost after calling ed ober and disc these multiple errors has said the judge is too harsh we wont fight this claim but we have no prob re submitting a new one ...in the last 3 yrs ive had over 10 major surjerys all saying my legs arm back are bad . I also go to therapy both for talking and meds even they say im not ment fit to work so I would not rec these loosers ,,, they say they care feell your pain also even thoough they say they take your case they don't discuss it with the lawers till your appealed later down the road then they tell you wether to cont with case isn't that the reason you get a lawyer in the first place so they will go to court and fight for your rights also they said they would send me the paperwork to file a complaint against judge as I felt she was being discrimitve on me they sent me the cover letter stating heres the form to fill out but they did not put it in there when I finally got hold of ober he argued that this form does not exist but it does as the other firms have stated it does and also ssi because of there drastic errors my case is screwed I have too start all over new cliam... this is very crappy firm please read up on them .... my family and I have been homeless due too me not being to work my $50,000 job thanks ober good job not knowing your laws and not following up on your workers work progress read more
