Communication efforts from paralegals were sporadic at best. In the rare occasion that the firm did…read morereach out, they were uninformed and full of excuses. After not receiving contact from the firm for some time (weeks if not months), I called the firm and was informed my paralegal had left the practice. This should not have been something I had to call to request information about nor something that should've taken weeks to hear about. Soon after, I asked to speak with a lawyer for further clarification about their lack of communication and was told I need to wait several days to speak with a lawyer. Once I was able to speak with my assigned lawyer, I was promised that the firm would communicate better. After some time, I came to realize this was a false promise. In addition to poor communication, there were a lot of delays in writing the demand and a significant mistake finalizing the settlement. More specifically, Kent Law notified me of a $26,000 lien for a provider whose balance I had already confirmed to be $0. When I asked for documentation proving a lien agreement was signed, they sent me records from a car accident that happened prior to the one they were settling. The worst part is that Kent Law had "negotiated' the non-existent lien down to $18,000 and were prepared pay that amount. Had I not intervened, that would have been exactly what happened. When trying to address these concerns with my lawyer, he wrote them off, telling me that the team makes mistakes but tries their best. Ultimately, this firm's interest was fully devoted to their paycheck, and while that is standard for this industry, Kent Law could have at least pretended to care about the person behind the numbers and the details of the case.

She seems very competent, however her support team are not good at their jobs and are very slow. They admitted they do not have SLAs which is odd. I was moved around on the schedule several times which of course could be the attorney or could be her team, and the thing is with this type of work is that it's very rare that something suddenly comes up that you can't talk to someone for 15 minutes and need to push out 5 days. I was also scheduled on a holiday apparently and then just rescheduled without asking when I was available. This is not a premier doctor's office - you don't just reschedule people without asking them when they're available. Also, get it together and schedule when you're open - that's a basic coordination expectation. Also what happen in the course of a day she's so busy she can't talk for 15 minutes? That's just not acceptable in my line of work - you work OT and take the call later. I also asked multiple times for the retainer agreement and the general agreement and just never got it. When I pushed on what the problem was because I was ready to go and they were the ones delaying I couldn't get a straight answer besides "we're a medium sized firm." What does that mean? You're underwater? You don't have standards? You screw over people who want to be clients because you refuse to honor a paid 15 minute scheduled call so you don't work an extra 15 minutes? I have no way to pass this on directly to Alden and that she might be losing clients because of her front desk and intake team, but I'm leaving this review so that way hopefully this can reach her because I don't even have her email address despite chatting with her and paying over $900 for her to review my situation. I would appreciate my money back as I attempted to retain but was blown off and misled multiple times. Seems like a money grab for consults versus actually wanting to take new clients or having the capacity to. On the phone, their intake person offered referrals which I said please send, and she sent the next day versus same day (again, no sense of urgency for an urgent situation). Then the intake coordinator cancelled my 15 minutes with Alden without asking me. I was intending on keeping it. When I called them out on this ridiculous behavior, they just said because I needed someone asap (which is true but was waiting to speak with Alden on what the delay was & how to move forward), they cancelled it. Again, without asking me! Just insane. Btw, through all of this, I still cannot reach Alden or attorney team directly. I would have preferred to give this feedback privately, but there's no way to do so.

Andrea the senior paralegal filed documents to the court and other party for a completely different case and client representing - They deny representing a client they are listed as representing and under this false narrative-ignoring issue presented to them and then again Andrea sent confidential information to a party not listed in case. If you're hiring an attorney for help to navigate your case, they do not provide accurate information and they may end up sharing your confidential case information to people not involved in the case. But that's exactly what I discovered after receiving a cease-and-desist email from this "prestigious" firm a law firm that apparently dabbles in debt collection, civil rights, and defamation law all from a PO Box at the UPS Store. What I experienced was reckless and intimidating. The letter they sent me was labeled "an attempt to collect a debt," yet I do not owe this firm or their client, The Marquis at Chandler, a single dime. Instead of responding appropriately to a consumer's review which expressed concerns over potential housing discrimination this law firm chose to weaponize legal language in an attempt to silence me. Their letter threatened legal action against me simply for exercising my First Amendment right to share my personal experience on a public forum. If you are wise, you will reconsider retaining this office. Their conduct doesn't protect businesses it potentially exposes them to greater legal and reputational liability, as has happened here. Rather than deescalate, they escalated the matter with meritless threats, which have now been forwarded to the appropriate federal authorities for review. People deserve to know how this firm conducts itself when they assume no one is paying attention. It speaks volumes and none of it is good.
