My bikes have been tune-up at many bike shops over the years. Pedalinx is one of very few bike…read moreshops which I can, without any reservations, recommend for tune-ups. All my tune-ups at Pedalinx were professionally done. Pedalinx service has always been friendly and great. Getting the tune-up this year was complicated by Covid 19; demand for bike tune-ups this year went through the roof. I had to wait more than a month for my scheduled tune-up. But the shop did a fantastic tuneup job on my dura ace road bike, and in 1 day! Pedalinx is one of the best bike shops.

We've been going to this bike shop for years because it's the only option in our neighborhood, but…read moreunfortunately the experience seems to get worse with each visit. The customer service is consistently disappointing. Staff rarely makes eye contact, there is little to no acknowledgment when customers enter the store, and basic courtesies such as greeting customers or providing updates on wait times are completely absent. It is extremely inefficient and disorganized. What makes the experience particularly frustrating is that there can be only a couple of customers in the store while several employees are on the floor, yet it can still take 30 minutes to an hour just to get someone's attention or speak with a staff member. During these waits, there is often no communication, no indication of who is being helped next, and no confirmation that anyone will be assisting you. As a family that loves biking and has invested a lot of time and money on our bikes, it's so frustrating to get it serviced at this location and will be looking at going elsewhere.

I really wanted to like this shop. When Mr Vegetarian and our children want to test bikes, the…read moreowner (Andrew) was cheerful and friendly, and let them ride whatever they wanted while being pretty good-natured about the clambering-about habits of certain small children. We arranged to buy an expensive ($3k+) cargo bike, tricked out with all sorts of kid-related accoutrement. We said at the beginning that we were nervous about buying a bike in Burlington and living in Toronto, but they had the Milano we wanted and Andrew assured that they were in Toronto "all the time" offering mobile service and deliveries and that this would not be a problem. It has been a problem. The good cheer and helpfulness available on sales day vanished shortly thereafter. They delivered our bike (and charged us for it), with the wrong cover attached and told us we would need to return the cover ourselves if we wanted a new one. When we tried to book our promised free-in-the-first-year service and get replacement lights because the factory one fell apart we were sent an invoice for nearly $500 - the free service was suddenly not available. First we were told it was because we had to have it in the first six months, then were told it was because we had to do it at the shop. To be clear, this would mean either riding the 100lb bike 50km to Burlington for service or paying someone to transport it there. The short answer is that we really wish we hadn't bought a bike so far away - the owners promises to make sure we were cared for even though we lived in the city never materialized at all. Maybe this place would be great if you lived around the corner, but I can't trust a shopkeeper who will over-promise or say anything to get the sale and then shrug his shoulders. A real let down.

Absolutely worst place to buy a bike. DO NOT PURCHASE A BIKE FROM THIS PLACE. From the start, their custom service was outhandling. We rented the one bike for three hours (the half day rental) and we were a bit concerned that we might not be back within the three hour period because we wanted to ride as far as the falls. They said not to worry about being late with the return if needed, they are lenient. We also asked them if we could borrow a hex key to raise the handlebars on my bike. A short time later, not only did someone came out to the parking lot with a hex torque wrench, but he also made the adjustments to my handlebars. However, he found that after raising the handlebars, the brake cables would no longer reach, so we took the bike into the shop and two people started working on setting up my front brakes. After they finished, they said that the work would be no charge because we rented a bike from them, but I asked them how much this adjustment would have cost. They said about five dollars, which I thought was very reasonable. So, on my insistence, I paid the five dollars anyway because they deserved it for demonstrating good customer service, in going out of their way, and for the time they spent to adjust my bike. In addition to their excellent customer service, the bike that we rented was in excellent shape and very well maintained. The bike was a Trek hybrid bike and cost $20.00 for the three hours (we returned it on time, so we didn't test their leniency after all).

My bike required some mineral hydraulic brake oil as it was low . But during these times were in right now with COVID these bicycles shops are all out if stock of not only bikes but almost anything you require including some bike shops like Cyclepath in Brampton closing down after 40 yrs in business , things have really been tough for some of these business , I also found that most of the bike shops in peeel also had majorly reduced hours, except Trek . After many calls Trek had the oil I required so I drove down to pick it up at there mississauga location just east of Winston Churchill on Dundas . This is a fairly new and large location that they openmed up recently. Seems like they had a good selection and variety of there Trek brand bikes and a great selection of parts and accessories for bikes , most bike related items . They also have nike techs on staff to do any tuning or bike repairs you require. They were friendly professional and helped me in a quick manner. Nice knowledgable staff , as I had some questions and they seem to really know there stuff there. I really recomend this store and just earned me as a new loyal customer. They seem to have most things in stock and an amazing variety of tools that I have not seen at other bike shops. Great experience and I got my oil.
