At the start of the walkway, it's a bit plain, but as soon as you head down to the trail, the scenery completely changes. There's lots of greenery, flowers, and tall trees. There's even a little seating area with benches, which is perfect for a picnic or bbq with family and/or friends. Thankfully there were plenty of porta potty's and bathrooms as well that were conventionally close. We walked around the trail, but i'd definitely take another visit for a picnic!

There's also a playground. Though well serviced by roads (not all conservation areas are), the trails are badly maintained with many potholes. Walking out of the Boyd Conservation Area is more rewarding as the Humber Trail, which is pleasant and well maintained trail, runs north to Boyd North and beyond. They're open daily mid-June to early September, and weekends mid-May to mid-June and mid to end September.

It is situated in the forest and takes about 20 minutes to walk through. The trees are extremely old and majestically high. This area has been here a really long time and it was so peaceful to walk through. It wasn't too crowded and we would definitely go back.

needed to get out of the house and go for a hike, so thats what i did…read more came here on my first stop to do some exploring for my photography, saw this forest from the highway and decided to give it a try, on the outside it doesn't look like much, but the trails on the inside of the forest add up pretty quick, pretty even flooring makes this a breeze to walk through, when the leaves are fully blossomed the whole park is covered from the sunlight, but still has enough spacing with the trees to let a good breeze go through. very happy that i came to this park, but i should have came a week later for better fall photos, as the trees deep in the forest were still very green and not yet turning colors. still very happy i went. lots of parking available on the grounds, the only negative is coming in and going out of the parking lot could be a bit tight for room. cant wait to come back.

Offerings available were soup, fries, poutine, burgers, chicken fingers, mac & cheese, wraps, cookies and chips. Warm apple cider, "spiked" warm apple cider for the adults, pop, juice, coffee, tea, espresso, beer, red or white wine. The Gift Shop is great for buying Maple Syrup. So many varieties to choose from. Great place to bring the kids for some good old fashioned family fun outdoors! Many different easy walking trails to explore. Great activity with the kids. Ample pay parking. An item of interest, on our walk we stumbled upon the Raptors enclosure and saw Eagles, Hawks, Falcons and Owls. Mindful not to disturb them. The enclosure was built by The Canadian Peregrine Foundation, dedicated to the restoration and recovery of endangered and threatened raptors (birds of prey) here in Canada. These birds need your help raising funds to build a new home for the birds who are non-realisable and used to conduct wildlife education programs in Canadian Elementary schools. They've secured a new location and signed a 10-year lease, but they need help with their building fund and welcome tax-deductible donations to the Canadian Peregrine Foundation. In my adventures in this area of Ontario for fall photos, I was recommended this location and it…read morewas a better then average visit. when getting to the gates, I was asked if I had a reservation(due to covid they had appointment based timings to regulate traffic coming in and out of this conservation area) I was able to book my reservation in the driveway of the park, and I had to wait less then 10 minutes for my time slot (2 hours) when my time was ready, I pulled up to the booth, and the lady confirmed me into the system, gave me a map, and wished me a good day/hike. I came here for a certain trail, and unfortunately when I got to the trail, it was closed for renovations, I was a bit annoyed with this situation, as at the time of my visit at the park, no mention was made on the website or from the lady at the check in booth. so I walked back to pick two other trails, which were Lookout Trail & Forestry Trail. the lookout trail was great, but the lookout was nothing to brag about, a great deal of space and thought went into this lookout, but the view is obstructed with trees and you can barely see anything that the lookout has to offer. the forestry trail was great, there is a section of trees that are just planted perfectly in rows and rows, which made my photos absolutely pop and stand out. finally at the end of my hikes, I dumped all my camera equipment into the car and I was able to use the washroom facilities, which was great to wash my hands and warm up a bit, as my day of visit was a damp and cooler day. looking back on my visit, it had more positives then negatives, the map that they handed out and is physically online has the lookout trail on the map and legend is orange, but when you look at the hiking trail details its listed as dark blue, I also had to let the lady at the check in station know that a tree fell down, blocking the path from accessibility standpoint on the lookout trail parking is on site, and admission to the park won't break the bank would definitely come back to explore the other trails.

Not a large space, but has separate spaces for listening to the music, hanging out, or gathering for art or community. I saw people taking photographs, painting, sketching, and reading. Not to mention the many walking and bike paths going through the area.

The park also features beautiful wildflowers, roses, terraced gardens, mature trees, plants, and a scenic bridge. Entry into the park and botanical gardens is free. We enjoyed strolling through the four acre manicured gardens, butterflies, insects and relaxing by the water features and the Wilket Creek Ravine. They also have a gift shop and Bloom Cafe.

Instead there is a small slide for toddler use in the corner. For a large space, could feature a few more additions. A few swings and hammocks but has a really neat splash pad my kids enjoyed! Nice that they include an open air roof top (for parents I'm assuming to sit and watch the kids in the splashed as they could play there for hours). Basketball court and soccer field nearby. Parking was a breeze.

It seems to a pretty new park as many of the trees are still pretty young. Visually, I really appreciate the design, but on a practical level, the park is very exposed. It would be great if they added more shade elements and/or covered seating. I think as the park ages and the surrounding tree grow, this park will only get better.
