The sign says walk ins welcome. It also says Real men go to a real Barber shop! John Ho is the Owner and the best Barber in all the Carolinas, and maybe on the East coast. He has been cutting hair for 36 years. Boom! He is an expert at what he does besides excellent customer service and very personable and funny. For 30.0 I got a real hair cut and a shave and eyebrows and beard trim. He said he would make me look good lol and he did. If you want a cheap haircut go to super cuts and come out looking like Fred Flinstone lol. I speak from experience. If you want the Best come here and let John Ho make you look like a million bucks! Tony was amazing! My boyfriend usually gets a haircut at Sports Clip or Great Clips and has come out looking not up to par every time. I just moved to Matthews and decided to take him there to try. I just got out of the military and moved to charlotte, so naturally I was looking for a good barber shop. I decided to give this shop a try. It was a weekday afternoon so it was very empty. The one guy there gave me my cut. Very nice, talked about sports and everything. Unfortunately I thought they would accept card, but they didn't and I had no cash. I offered to leave my ID so I could run and get some cash. The man refused and just told me to pay the next time I came in. I was taken aback at how nice and trustworthy he was, but I came back with cash 20 minutes later. Safe to say I'll be going back for my haircuts in the future. read more

The barber in the photo likes to dictate what kind of haircut you need. He tried to assume want kind of haircut I wanted. I notice he was cutting hair pretty fast. At that point, it seems like he was just cutting hair for numbers and not quality. I described to him what haircut I wanted very specifically. I told him a very low fade skin. Keep the sides longer and nothing off the top. He literally gave me a high and tight with the top being uncut and the sides being like a 1. This guy needs to listen to his clients next time he cuts hair. That's the first and last time I go to this shop. read more

My four year old son went in for a haircut today. To no fault of the shop, he was terrified of the chair and noises. Three minutes into the trim, he was done. My rating of the shop is reflective of charging 50% of their rate for an incomplete haircut for a scared little boy. Good business would have been to not charge in the hopes we'd return. Well John, his wife, & his son can all do just that for an amazing price of just $10. I will never go anywhere else. These guys are great at what they do and they are very friendly.
