Honestly it's not that expensive and the Italian sausage here is imported from Italy itself. The employees here are very friendly and are great people over all. The owner of this place seems like he's very proud of this place and I could see why. The lettuce and strawberries here are grown here and everything is fresh. I wish I could come here often but I live in California but I'll come here every chance I get. This place deserves more recognition and is a great place overall. His people were from Italy and their is a story to be heard if you ask him about his grandfather renting his home to Trotsky while he was in exile in Coyoacon. I've done quite a few Michelin or James Beard restaurants, and I must say the service was far from what it should be. They seemed annoyed and dismissive. The table next to us was talking how they had altitude sickness and took their water bottles out to take a sip. The staff rushed over and took the water away! Told them they could have it back after their meal. I've never seen or heard of such a thing. Wine list was subpar and was hoping to have more wines from vineyards in Mexico. We each got different dishes and didn't try each others. (As I'm plant based) We all three were terribly sick the same night on our second to last day of the trip. Yes, the restaurant is beautiful but I definitely think there's far better Michelin restaurants and Michelin mention restaurants in the area.
