Great customer service, very friendly. We recently purchased a Queen sized mattress from them. Its excellent quality and had the best sleep ever. Glad we stumbled across this store, normally I go to the Mattress Ranch. I tend to like the pillow selections etc.. better at the Mattress Ranch to be honest. We did purchase pillows from the Mattress depot and what a waste of money. But the main part is the Mattress and the service which if possible I would give them a 10 * rating. Shawn and Jesse were my awesome Sales Consultants. I met Shawn prior to closing on my house and came the day after closing to actually make the purchase. The impact that I Shawn had when we first came in made me ignore all other furniture stores for beds. Shawn and Jesse worked as a well oil team when it came to Jesse doing the financing with my husband and Shawn and I chatting while they did the paperwork. The bed was delivered promptly and efficiently by Kenny and Myrin. They gave me a thorough explanation of how the bed work, told me about the USB and speakers plus the bonus, backup battery if the power goes out, how to get the bed flat. I am very thankful to Shawn, Jesse, Kenny and Myrin for great teamwork. I hope that I don't need anymore beds anytime soon, but would highly recommend 72nd and Hosmer location to anyone looking for a top of the line new bed. read more

Last night my husband and I stopped in with the intent of purchasing a new mattress. Our requests were simple: Extra Firm, and Affordable. We walked in and were greeted in a timely manner by the gentleman that was working ( I cannot remember his name, but he had salt and pepper hair, andwe believe a bit of an east coast accent?) From the moment he greeted us he kept commenting on how my husband is a "big guy", granted he is built like a linebacker... But is this really necessary to keep saying it OVER and OVER to where it was uncomfortable? Anyways... Due to the "size" of my husband he wanted us to try out a certain mattress which was memory foam and "did not have springs" that my husband would "damage". I stressed that I was not a fan of memory foam, and my husband did not like it at all, yet he kept trying to show us that one. We tried out a few other options and did like one of them... however they did not stock the mattress in the store and we would have to have it either delivered to our house, or shipped to the store. Had we felt more comfortable in the store, we would have been fine choosing the second option... but due to us not being a fan of the "pressure" to buy a mattress that we did not want, and the repeated suggestion to "purchase the floor display", which we did not want... we decided to take our business to a competitor *Rhymes with "Law Firm" * Should we "Damage" our new mattress due to his "size", we will go back to "Law Firm" and upgrade. . . What a sorry example of customer service, And perfect example of being pressured into a sale. I have 10+ years of retail management experience, and I still cringe at the lack of customer service that was displayed at this store. I gave this review 2 stars. 1 for having mattresses. And 1 for being greeted in a timely manner. I highly suggest saving yourself the headache and visiting another store, maybe another location... but I do not recommend this one. read more

I just moved a couple of weeks ago and I called to see if they had any full-size memory foam mattresses left for a certain price that Mattress Firm were out of. Shawn hooked me up with the last one they had. In and out in about 20 minutes, and I was able to load the box into the back of my car. Shawn was great, super friendly and easy to talk to. My wife and I went to Mattress Depot on 72nd St to look for a new bed. I asked the sales guy where's the pricing on the beds and he asked me " are you looking for a price or a bed?' He then asked me if I worked for another mattress company and I replied no I am in sales but I don't sell beds. After the strange greeting my wife and I decided on a new mattress and frame. We paid for delivery and set up $140.00. During the installation of the new bed and adjustable frame the delivery person made a very large scratch, about 4 inches long, on our 4 post wooden bed frame. I immediately contacted the Tacoma store and I was asked to send a photo to the delivery persons cell phone and I was told someone would get back to me. After not hearing from anyone after 24 hours I called the Mattress Depot warehouse to ask about getting my bedframe rail replaced. I was told to call to store and speak to the salesmen that sold me the bed. I called the store and did get Shawn on the phone and he explained to me that he didn't know who to believe since apparently the delivery driver denies scratching our bed frame. Now we certainly didn't go to Mattress Depot to purchase a $3000.00 bed with the planning on blaming them for some prior damage to our bed frame. That is ridiculous and I'm offended that they are accusing me of such a thing. I ordered a replacement rail for our bed in the tune of $302.00, which I also sent them a copy of. After explaining my dissatisfaction to Shawn he did have another gentlemen call me to have someone come out and touch up the bed frame and he suggested that could save me the $302.00. He was very nice, but this really isn't a satisfactory solution as we had a bedframe without any gouges or scratches prior to buying and having delivered a Mattress from this company, and we don't want it just touched up. I don't like posting a bad review, but this experience was very disappointing and cost me $302 in damages, and I was basically accused of lying about the damages. Buyers Beware! read more

Still loving the latex mattress. It's as comfortable today as it was the first night I slept on it. Will definitely buy another one when the time comes. On edit I see why Mattress Depot receives such high marks: the owner worked closely with Costco, Nordstrom and Starbucks in his previous career. That explains a lot! I rank Mattress Depot customer service, before and after the sale, right up there with Nordstrom and Costco. Good prices on mattresses (especially the factory seconds), friendly but not over-pushy salesman, and take home same day service! My mom hasn't had a new mattress in 25 years. She just moved into a new house, and I refused to allow her to take that old mattress with her. After having browsed numerous stores a few weeks prior to her move, I decided to check out Mattress Depot USA because of other Yelp reviews. I'm so happy we did! It was a bit smaller than other stores, but I'm a firm believer in having too many choices causing "analysis paralysis." The styles were all there: latex, memory foam, coil, and even some adjustable frames. There were enough choices for my mom to find a new mattress. Dave (David?), the sales guy, greeted us inside the store. We told him what type of mattress we were looking for. After checking out a few of the brand-new styles, I laid on a factory second and thought my mom might like it. She laid down, and that was it. She found her perfect new mattress. Although the one she picked did not come with a manufacturer's warranty, it still had a 10-point Sealy Certification Inspection and the only thing wrong with it was a little dirt from it being dragged on the ground at the factory. I decided to grab a cheap full-size mattress (with warranty) so I didn't have to sleep on a twin whenever I visited my mom's house. The entire purchase, including a $60 queen mattress protector pad, came out to less than $900. That is still about half the price of the least expensive mattress my mom looked at in all of our other searches. Dave was able to put all 3 pieces (2 mattresses and 1 box spring) on the roof of our car, secured them with twine, and we were off. Thank you Mattress Depot USA. read more

This is what is great about Yelp. We needed a new mattress for a vacation cabin we own. No need for a Stearnes-Foster like we sleep on at home, but since we do spend weeks at a time there in the winter, comfort does matter. Our mailbox is bombarded with ad flyers from that "M" store just north on I-5 (the one from Noo Yawk). I yelped it and saw those reviews. Yikes. Then I searched further and found the Mattress Depot. And, boy were the Yelpers right. I'm happy to add my five star rating. What, to a mattress place? Yep. Very friendly. No pressure or stress (I wish ALL retail places were this enjoyable). Mike helped me and he was terrific. We even ended up chatting about raising chickens and apple farming. We bought a very nice Sealy second for a highly discounted and very friendly price, and they deliver in just a couple days. You can get same day delivery if you come first thing in the morning. I had all my questions answered, found a mattress I liked which I got a great deal on. The entire process was great. No pressure, no rush. I came in to Mattress Depot on a mission. I knew what I needed, and had a strict budget to purchase a mattress that I hadn't planned on needing. My cat had recently been attacked and decided to baptize my old mattress, so as you can imagine, I was in a hurry to replace the old mattress and get it out of my house. Mattress Depot provided me with outstanding customer service, worked quickly to provide me the best discounts available, and got my new (and remarkably comfortable) mattress into my bedroom within three gods of my very last minute purchase. They even hauled away the old mattress and box spring for me, which costed $30 and assured me that the entire set would be recycled and would never see a land fill. The delivery team even drove out of their way to pick up a king size mattress from a Puyallup store between their already scheduled deliveries and drove it to my home in Tacoma. Everything was set up and ready in record time, with no extra hassle to me. This team worked amazingly hard to get me what I needed quickly and within my budget, and neither of the other stores I visited could compete with the quickness and quality of service provided. We arrived around 5 pm and immediately were shown to the most expensive bed, the sleep number with remote and it's own platform. When we explained we had bought a storage bed, we were asked if we really needed all that storage. Numerous questions later I flat out told him I liked my storage bed! Onward to the ones that are cooling, a close-out one, questions answered; tried mattresses and decided on the new hybrid . Bought the required cover to extend the tryout period to 120 days. Adjusted pricing some sine delivery to our area was more. Picked delivery date and paid. Later we changed our mind and discovered no cancelling the purchase. Sped through checkout with how we were really saving money etc. Our fault? I guess, but it would be nice if the "no canceling or returning" was explained to us at time of purchase. Of course they don't want to go over that part with you or you might change your mind! Sign here! Apparently I mistakenly called the bed that lifts with remote a Sleep Number- it is not. However it is a bed that can lift into different positions and requires space to do that so a storage bed frame wouldn't work; and we didn't appreciate being pushed toward it first and being asked questions about if we really needed all that storage so that we might be convinced to buy that bed. read more

We buy all of our mattresses from this store including picking some up for our extended family. They have always provided us a good price, great service and good quality mattress. You can get factory seconds, AS-IS, or new mattresses. They have them setup so you can try laying on them. Make sure to try different positions and give yourself a minute to make sure it is the right level of firmness / softness for your tastes. When looking at the AS-IS beds...make sure to check it out carefully as some have significant wear or damage. Definately worth your time to check this place out before buying your next bed. read more

The store can at times be a little under staffed, but the few times I have been in there, the reps did a good job of at least greeting everyone and making sure nobody who walked in the store felt like they didn't matter. They have a pretty good variety of "scratch and dent" type mattresses and they're not afraid to manhandle them out for you to look at. I went with a new king set because of the warranty. The delivery time was quoted at time of purchase ($60 I think for delivery) and was also on my receipt. Well when the delivery window came and went, I called the store to see what was going on...I guess the guy who sold me the mattress made a mistake. Ok fine, but I'm wasting a lot of time on a weekday because of this...not happy. I told the manager that I would decide whether or not I still wanted the thing, and I'd call him back. Well he called me back in a few minutes and said the delivery guys were on the way. He apparently called them and had them handle it right then since he knew I wasn't very happy. Mistakes happen, but it's all in how you handle it...the manager was professional and took care of the issue, which I very much appreciated. When the mattress was delivered, I took a minute to inspect it before I signed for it (ANY mark on a mattress can VOID the warranty) and noticed a small defect caused (probably) by the delivery guys. It was really so small (pencil eraser size) and on the under side of the mattress that I wouldn't care, but I was concerned about the warranty. The delivery guys totally understood and called the store to talk to the manager, who I also spoke with. The manager agreed to let me keep the mattress so I'd have something to sleep on, but promised to have another one sent out ASAP. Maybe about a week later he called and arranged a new delivery time. The (same) delivery guys came out, took the "damaged" mattress, replaced it with a new one, and even helped me set it up. In summary, I had a good experience with the store. The manager and delivery crew were professional and handled the issues. Like I said, mistakes happen, but how they're handled is what makes a business worthy of my money. I wouldn't hesitate to shop at Mattress Depot again. read more

They gave us bed bugs. My fault for not thinking anything when they delivered unwrapped box springs, kept in the same truck that they haul away old mattresses in. And not only that but when we tried to call them to ASK about it, they got super defensive when I wasn't even trying to accuse them, said that we're dirty people, and that bed bugs do not come from beds or furniture, that they only come from people. Couldn't even comprehend the fact that people have to get them from somewhere AKA their box springs. read more

We purchased at this mattress depot because it had great reviews. Well over all I am very disappointed, I spent $955 on a bed with delivery for it to have tears all over it. I was told this was a seconds, that it would have imperfections like stitching etc but holes? Seriously. Ross wouldn't sell a seconds jacket with tears would they ? NEVER again will I purchase a mattress here and I will def be telling all our military friends in the area not to purchase from here. The first matress/boxspring that we bought from them they delivered it and set it up. Plus they were on time!!!!
