Mattress Firm in Hyannis is fantastic. I needed a new pillow and I have been shopping here for years for my sleep needs. A pillow at your basic box store might only cost $5, but you seriously get what you pay for. Johnathan at the Hyannis spot was not only professional, but he was also friendly and easy to work with. I had an idea of what I wanted having purchased my last 6 pillows here, and he set me up with a demo to try, plus 5 other options to cross compare. In the end, the original pillow I checked out felt best(the carbon fiber cooling one) and on top of that he checked the website to see if they had a coupon/promo running. He saved me 20% and they had free shipping to my door still going on at the website. He matched it all(the demo pillows arrived before the ones for sale) and I've got new pillows coming in this week. I needed a replacement full size mattress for a summer house and was hoping to find one available for same day pick-up. After calling around, Mattress Firm in Hyannis had a few lower end options available and ready for pick-up, which was fine. I was able to purchase from the Orleans store and made my way to pick it up in Hyannis. I had no issues getting the mattress, but once we got it home, we discovered a few stains on the mattress. It was still in the plastic wrap and my wife refused to use it, so I called the Hyannis store to see what my options were and the store manager, Bill, said he would call me back to see what was in-stock. After no callback....I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes....I just drove back and returned the item and replaced with a lower end mattress. It's all they had left. I worked with another store associate, who was very pleasant. No apologies from Bill...the only thing he said to me on my way out was "did you bring back the other mattress?" Yes, Bill...you have your stained mattress back. We did discover more stains on the 2nd mattress, but it just wasn't worth the effort to haul it back to the store again. It made us question whether Mattress Firm re-sells used/returned mattresses. Maybe that's why they were the only store with Full Size mattresses available for same day pick-up? We purchased a new mattress cover and called it day. Safe to say I won't be spending money with Mattress Firm again. read more

Nice polite staff BUT ordered a mattress and adjustable frame was told couldn't have it delivered for TWO WKS ok i get it BUT was the told THE DAY BEFORE delivery it won't be ready until October - i mean I'm understanding BUT that's a bait & switch if I've ever seen one - i will say the salesman ( again was great ) did offer to give me a different mattress that could be delivered a day later than my original date - but it's the bed in the box YES a nice mattress BUT Not What i want - too soft I'm looking for firm - so refund two weeks to process - really that's horrible- i was told because it's corporate - i should of known better and shopped w/ the small business owner especially during these Covid times - my mistake - well all I'm all it worked out i found a great mattress store who has everything i want and will be delivered tomorrow on my original date so even tho mattress firm was having a huge sale i still saved $500 with no sale ! Elderly parents purchased a mattress under their 120 day sleep trial and found the mattress to be too soft (and also too high off the ground). Their "return/exchange policy" involves exchange fees, delivery, etc to the tune of an extra $700 spent. The parents have limited mobility and opportunity to effectively negotiate, they just needed the mattress. Mattress Firm walked all over them and got their money, but permanently damaged their reputation as far as we are concerned. What a bunch of opportunists. Perhaps MF's impending bankruptcy will be a good thing for consumers. read more

We received assistance from both Michael O and Bill C while we were there- HIGHLY recommend asking for either of them if you shop here. I am in need of a new mattress. Luke has been very helpful along the way. Unfortunately after the transaction was completed My delivery date moved from Tuesday to Friday. This is very much an inconvenience as I work out of state and am currently considered "essential" at this time. I need to leave out for work on Thursday. It is a shame that these companies can take thousands of dollars from some one for a mattress but have no accountability to provide the mattress at the predetermined timeframe. After having been to two other mattress stores we stopped into sleepys in search of a mattress and frame for our new home. We were welcomed by Michael and were first fitted for what type of bed would best suit us, rather than trying every bed in the place. Michael was very professional and extremely knowledgeable about the different mattresses and how certain firmness or plushness is best suited for certain body types/ frames. The other places we went in search of a mattress were nowhere near as informed or friendly/professional. One place didn't even say hi to us as we browsed. We have been shopping for a new mattress for days. Went to all the local sellers and considered Sleepy's last since they have a reputation for being the most expensive. I can tell you that we were so impressed with BILL REYNOLDS, our salesman at the Hyannis store. Bill took the time to ask about our unique needs, we explained about back issues and he understood completely. He made us try almost a dozen mattresses, checked on which ones our spines were straight, explained about back sleeping versus side sleeping. He spent at least an hour explaining about the various types and styles of mattresses. He did not guide us toward the most expensive, rather he guided us toward the one which met our needs, which was not the most expensive one either. Once we made a decision, he explained the free financing options and made the entire transaction seamless and positive. We went to Sleepy's to search for a bed frame for our new mattress. Having noticed the new expensive Embrace frame, we asked the salesperson if it was available in California King. He looked at the card and said no. He then checked the computer and confirmed that it was not made in that size. Next we visited Macy's where a very knowledgeable salesperson confirmed that it did come in our size, but the delivery fee was too expensive. Upon returning home, we checked Sleepy's online, where it was immediately obvious that Sleepy's did carry our size, and we then successfully ordered it with free delivery through the online chat service. We are happy with the frame and with the online service, but it is only luck that Sleepy's got the sale at all given the poor knowledge of the in store salesperson. Taking advantage of MA Sales Tax-free weekend. We looked over mattresses of Sleepy's and two other chains. All had similar prices for the same mattresses. Didn't have time to go to all the stores. Had a comparison of 4 mattresses from Sealy, Serta, and Beautyrest. We've bought from Sleepy's before. We've found they have the most knowledgeable sales staff, they get right to it and you can get in and out of there in a half hour. We had stepped about 10 feet into the store when Sandra met us. We handed her the 4 mattress comparison printout. She showed us the 4 - let us make our decision. Wrote us up. The mattress and box spring could be delivered the next day between 4-8 pm. It's now 7:10 pm the next day. The two dudes delivering it arrived 10 minutes ago. They were very professional - they had the new mattress and box spring in place and the old ones out on the truck in literally 5 minutes. We got exactly what we paid for.
