I don't enjoy her language while I am in your store and I would certainly not go in there if there were another choice in Fairbanks. I know that Castle Megastore has had a problem keeping employees. There seems to be quite a few terminations. I can't blame the employees for leaving. She has a blue tooth hanging on her ear so she is not available most of the time. She parks her car right in front of the door, blocking the store turnaround. I hope that management will work on customer respect for their customers and their employees.

I took a good amount of time looking at every corner, because there is a lot of cute stuff. Sandra herself is super nice and helpful! It was my first day in Fairbanks, and I just hopped in to look at all the rings (constant search for spoon rings). She helped me out by letting me know about the area and all the interesting places to shop/eat, as well as good places to view the lights. She even drew me some directions and printed out locations of GPS coordinates! On top of that, I got a lot of cool Alaskan gifts and badass ring (that actually fits my tiny fingers!). Definitely take a look at this shop, you'll get sucked in!

I couldn't find Khaki pants anywhere at Fred Myers but I found a pair here. They have other colors too - lots of good fall clothes. They're a bit more pricey that what I usually care for, but they're always having sales and you can collect old navy instore points to save money on future purchases. My favorite part is all their workout clothes. They have a good selection of workout tops and yoga pants. They make for comfy PJ's. :) And there are dressing rooms if you need to try things on.

Upon walking in on a Saturday afternoon, I was pleased to see a Starbucks because it is one of my favorite coffee chains. I also love how this Starbucks, in particular, offers bakery items that are sold exclusively at this bookstore like cupcakes for example. On this visit, I was still full from my lunch, so I ordered an Iced Decaf latte. My family ordered drinks as well and I was surprised by how quick the employees were in making our drinks. The cafe area had comfortable seating, but I did explore to look for books that are Alaska-themed. I ended up finding a good collection of Alaskan books that are geared toward adults or children. So if you are searching for an Alaskan souvenir for a bookworm in your life, then Barnes & Noble has you covered. While the books are a bit pricey compared to other places, I would return because the inside of the bookstore was organized, the restroom was clean, and it was fairly quiet.

I have also purchased some locally produced human food as well as some bulk seed for landscaping. The staff is knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. At various times, they've helped me fit a fleece coat to my high-energy dog, helped me choose a good pellet food for a new pet rabbit, and find the right grass seed for our climate. Good all-around feed store.
