April was an amazing to work with and not only did we lean what we wanted, we finally figured out which setup was right for us. From the second we walked in she asked us where we were in our journey and listened. Instead of trying to sell us on things we weren't shopping for she was able to answer all of our questions and point us in the right direction. We had lots of questions and was able to understand the best way we could compare beds that were even there by understanding the materials and coil count. I really feel like she finally helped us make a decision best for us after months of researching. It was such a long process but wish I would have gone to see April sooner since she was so knowledgeable I could have saved ourselves a lot of time. But a week into sleeping in the Queen it actually hurt my husbands back, which they were informed he deals with a lifelong back injury from a car accident. Every store we spoke to offer a 120 days trial. Even now. We had it for 8 days. ( only because they are closed two days in the middle of the week). They offered to pick it up and give us 20% off another mattress. No refunds. No exchanged. It was nearly $1800.00 and they would not ( like the other three places I spoke with ) stand behind their product. Sad. So if you plan on buying a mattress I strongly suggest you try a company willing to stand behind what they sell. This one does not. We obviously went with another company that is willing ( in writing ) to guarantee what they sell.

So this year they got the gift of good sleep:-) When you walk into Sleepworld it's very different from other mattress stores. The national chain stores feature fluorescent lighting and pushy sales people. Not to forget all of their products are off gassing toxic petroleum and fire retardants. Sleepworld is a very relaxing atmosphere. The lighting is calm. The employees are very knowledgeable and want you to be an educated consumer. The moment that I mentioned my concerns of off gassing, I was immediately pointed towards certain products and price points. I was never judged! Nor was I given any condescending crap like, "those claims haven't been scientifically proven," or, "the EPA says those chemicals are perfectly safe!" No, I was given alternative choices. I also had the opportunity to work with Amanda the store manager. Fabulous!! Not even kidding, she's fantastic. I will shop at Sleepworld again! I will work with Amanda again. I love this store and the experience.

Over the past 1.5 years, I have shopped several times at this store and have been happy with my…read morepurchases. This latest purchase was not a similar experience. I went in looking for a small coffee table and found one that is glass/metal/wood. It was just the right size and matches the end tables I had bought a year ago. It was a good price, so they suggested that I just pick it up at the store when it arrived instead of paying almost $100 for delivery. In the past, I have had my purchases delivered and they arrive in one piece and are placed where I want them. This latest purchase made my head spin....is this now IKEA??? I arrive and am directed to the back for customer pick-up. The guy loads a box into my car. I bring home about 100 lbs. of coffee table PARTS!!! What??? The instructions say I will need to furnish my own screwdriver, they even have a picture of a good old standard screw driver;...so I go to my toolbox and get one. Part of the assembly ( an hour of IKEA-like hell ) is to screw the wooden panel into the frame. There are no holes or starts of holes in the wood. It would take a young athletic person with a LOT of muscle to put those screws into that thick hardwood panel by hand with a standard screwdriver. Sheesh. I am neither young, nor athletic. The metal pieces that are labeled with letters A, B, C, D are labeled with stickers that don't peel off. I tried soaking them off with a damp towel, but the adhesive is still on there. Can I use acetone or Goo Gone on them?? I have no idea. It could very well ruin the metal. I cannot predict....so I leave them as they are. I get my power screwdriver out and attempt to assemble this coffee table. But, because of the plethora of right angles, one cannot drive the screws straight in through the holes in the metal brackets and into the wood panel. It is not possible. The screws, then, end up at a slight angle and are not flush with the surface once they are all the way in. By the time I am done getting the pieces out of the packaging, assemble it as well as I can with the resources I have; I was quite ready to throw the thing on to the fire pit and burn it. Haverty's needs to put signs on all of the furniture that requires the customer to assemble it. I would have NEVER bought this piece if I had known. You are going the way of IKEA and it's not a good look. I'm in my early 60's. I deserve, as your customer, to be warned. I thought I was shopping in a fairly classy furniture store. I guess not-so-much anymore.
