What started as a "let's stop and check out a new mattress" turned into a few weeks process that resulted in our new mattress. The key to the whole process was our sales rep, Blake S., who was patient and responsive, never pressuring us the least. When our final decision was a brand MW only made available online, we insisted on a process that involved Blake getting the credit he deserved for the sale. And beyond that, since the online order delivery process meant it was not delivered by MW's staff, Blake had it sent to the store, then came to our home to deliver it and handle the setup personally. I am satisfied with the mattress that I purchased but their customer service and communication is awful!! I was told that I would get a call the night before delivery with a delivery window time. That never happened. I called them on the delivery date to inquire about my delivery. I was told they didn't get my mattress and it would be another week until I could get the mattress. The manger told me sometimes they have this problem. Wouldn't have been so bad if they would have communicated with me In regards to the delay. I was also told that they would take my old mattress when they delivered my new one. They neglected to inform me that it must be wrapped in plastic. The delivery guys wouldn't take it because they are instructed not to take it if it isn't wrapped. I called Customer service while the delivery truck was here and I was told that it wasn't that manager's account so he couldn't help me. Mattress Warehouse - Yea, they are alright. Went to Sleepys with cash in hand to buy a mattress, but apparently they weren't interested in taking money that day, Sleepys showed no interest in helping me at all. We went to Mattress Warehouse, and yea there are salesmen there. These guys were helpful though. The manager asked me questions, he was concerned about ME, and about making sure I was informed to make the right choice. After talking to him, he showed us some recommendations; he gave me a pillow and told me to hang out for a while. We stayed a while, we felt comfortable here, the salesman left us alone to test and try the recommendations. Like an eye doctor we tried this one then the next one. He then was able to direct us to another line, try this one and then this one. We laid there for quite a while trying the different selections. He had us try ones he know would be uncomfortable, too firm...then too soft - just to dial it in. We knew we were being sold, but we needed constructive advice and help with the selection - without any pressure or gimmicks. Mattress selection can be intimidating; it is an investment and a daunting decision. We were very happy with the staff, the sale, the selection and all the help and advice. We felt wanted and comfortable here. They happily helped me load the mattress on my roof to save me a buck. Stay away from this place. I'm convinced I didn't get the mattress I picked out. It didn't feel like the mattress I tried out in the store. The salesman/manager, Bob was too slick. Then, when we had a warranty claim, we couldn't get our replacement mattress. It's been over a month. We had an independent company here to evaluate it, they said we would get a new mattress. Now, Mattress Warehouse won't follow through, and has scheduled delivery three times, and hasn't shown up. Now, no one will follow up, and we have a broken mattress. Had a very bad experience with our mattress purchase, while we were spending the $3,000 we were treated nicely & with respect, however when the order got fouled up do to their lying & misleading the Sales staff turned ugly, especially the newer sale man DREW. The worst mattress store in the area!! These guys were nice until they sold me the mattress however when i cancelled the order they were in no mood to return my money! The worst guy in this store is 'DREW'. He started shouting at me when i went to check why the refund was taking so long. I waited for the money for 1 and 1/2 months and then they told me they could not do any thing and that i had to go and talk with their customer service (who never picked up the phone). They seemed more interested in helping us find a mattress that would meet our specific needs and provide us a good night,s sleep. They worked with us to find a price point we were comfortable with and even provided a credit when a lower price was found. We came here to "rule out" other options before buying a Sleep Number bed. Jim greeted us and graciously asked if we could give him a few minutes, as he was working with another couple. He got us started on our "evaluation " then went back to his other customers. Martin greeted us as we finished our evaluation and proceeded to show us the mattresses that would work best for us. We peppered him with questions, and if there was something he couldn't answer for us he went to get the answer. Martin did not try to up-sell us and made sure he showed us several different options. We ended up buying a Tempur-Pedic mattress and adjustable bed frame. Martin was honest with us about the delivery timeframe and some of the "challenges" they have had with their distribution center in the past and how they have been able to work around those issues to ensure their customers are taken care of. Jim called us the day before our delivery about a possible glitch, and by the time we returned his call he had already resolved the issue for us, in our favor. Our delivery was smooth, and the only issue we had was that one of the pillows we ordered was incorrect. I spoke with Martin the next day and he followed up the following day to let me know when I could expect the replacement. Overall, a great experience read more

Went in tonight with very little knowledge of what I wanted, or more importantly what I needed in a mattress. Jim greeted us at the door and after talking to me for a few minutes to find out what I was looking for, got me started with bedmatch. It was quick and painless and gave us an idea of what I needed. Jim explained everything to me, had me try various different mattresses, and asked me questions based on the mattress and way I was laying. If I was left to my own devices I doubt I would have picked the right mattress for my needs. Definitely looking forward to getting a better nights sleep! read more

I've purchased several mattresses from here within the last couple of years. Have worked with a couple different salespeople, but the same manager has been there each time. I never felt pressured into buying any particular mattress, and feel I've been given honest feedback on what the best mattress would be for the particular need at the time. For example, one purchase was for a full for my son, and we were not steered toward the most expensive mattress nor convinced we needed to buy a box spring (which I did not need since it sits on a platform). Most recently, my wife and I purchased a Serta memory foam queen at a very good price. However, we decided the memory foam wasn't for us, and are in the process of returning it under Serta's 120 day 'comfort guarantee.' We decided to exchange it rather than just return it, and the store agreed to drop the $200 return fee to help us purchase a mattress that is a bit more expensive but seems like it will suit our needs. Unfortunately, this is where the one star deduction takes place. The mattress exchange was to be done Tuesday, but we were called Tuesday and told the new one had suffered some water damage because the truck it was in leaked during a snow event (this is certainly possible given we did have snow Monday evening). But we were also told we'd be called the next day with the new schedule. That was three days ago, and still no call. We do appreciate them not trying to deliver damaged goods, but it also would be nice to know when we can strip the old mattress and have it ready for removal. I would say store pricing is basically on par with other retailers who sell the same mattresses and slightly higher than Internet dealers, but they are willing to deal if you ask, generally. UPDATE: Well, we've been given another run-around on the 2nd delivery date for our mattress. Now, supposedly, ours was accidentally delivered to another customer. Who know if they even wanted that mattress. I also noticed the other day that the same mattress we ordered is $500 cheaper at Boscov's, which didn't thrill me. At this point, they either get us a mattress by tomorrow, or we cancel the sale and head to Boscov's (or elsewhere). I'm tempted to give them no more than two stars, but since my other experiences were good, I'll leave it 3 at the moment. read more

Similar to some of the other reviewers, we also had problems with delivery after our mattress was defective. As a matter of fact, we still have not gotten our replacement mattress. Delivery was scheduled 3 times and no one showed up. Then, on the fourth time, the person promised that we would be the first delivery the next morning and they would be here first thing. Didn't happen. They called and said they would be here between 11 and 2.... Well we had plans and could not be there. We called and complained and they set another date with us. Unreal. Customer services ends as soon as they get your money. I ordered a headboard and mattress/box spring set, was told the headboard was in the store, but mattress/box spring needed ordered. I get a call the day the items come in and I'm told no headboard, no explanation, it will be another week. I questioned as to why I was told it was in stock and immediately was given attitude by the manager. I canceled the headboard and went to pick up the mattress/boxspring and they wanted me to buy a headboard they "had" there in the store, I refused. I was told my refund would take 2 -3 days. I called the 3rd business day and got the assistant manager who was just as rude as the manager. According to him "I sent a lot of stuff to corporate over the weekend, I'm sure they are busy". I told him they never should have told me 2-3 days, then tell me another week. Both the manager and assistant manager are very unprofessional. They are right, not the customer and how dare a customer even question what they are telling me. I will NEVER set foot in this store again. read more

Had lots of problems with the salesman being a stereotypical salesman. Got most of them fixed but what a hassle. Now find out with the West Creek financing the Sales tax was never added to the amount we thought we were paying so we are now paying even more. I would not recommend going here with out doing a ton of research on your own first. You really need to be very knowledgable cause the sales persons are not or at least they fail to disclose everything at the time of sale. A few key things I would love to have been told, besides the prices with tax, are if you buy a split king adjustable you will need to buy twin xl sheets so that when one side is raised and the other isn't you don't rip your sheets off the bed. I've also figured out a king comforter fits best sideways to cover both beds together. Just little things that would have been nice to know in advance. Not the reason for my 1 star rating of course. That's got eveything to do with the poor sales tatics used. read more

Last week I was shopping around for twin mattress for my children's bunk beds. I stopped in and was immediately greeted by store manager, Sam. He was very helpful in showing me what products he had available that met my criteria, including price. After telling Sam that I had just come from a store that had similar mattresses for less he helped me by applying store coupons and credits. In the end he beat the local competitors price by $10 on each mattress. What was even better was the mattresses were in stock and we were able to take them with us that day! All fine and dandy till they got your money they replaced the 1st mattress no problem sides broke down, right after about a week the 2nd one did the same, it took them over a mo. to get back to me,the regional mang. was there when I went in all was to be taken care of 3 1/2 wks later I called and asked when this was to be taken care of. The mattress breaking down and hurts everyday I get up worse ever, they set it up for next day. The men called at 6:50 am to tell me they be here by 10 am.I was ill that am . I was changing sheets when they got here..15 min. later. My sheets left 2 thumb nail size wet mucous spots. When they took it out I noticed they were taking pictures with their phones and spoke at Spanish so I didn't know what they were saying, I asked him to speak English and what was the problem they said it's dirty and stained I said where...they pointed 2 wet spots, I went and got Lysol wipes it cleaned right off, they put me on phone with whoever who was ignorant and informed me that my warranty was invalid unless I paid more money. Then I called the # on my receipt and He was worse of all when I told Him it was off the sheets I pulled off He laughed and said sorry you just admitted you were sick and laughed ???What kind of gimmic is this ? Why would I lie? He said your warrantly is canceled , Sorry and hung up! There are no stains on mattress, there wasn't a stain when they were here except his dirty handprint where He picked it up. Beware of buying anything from this company. We bought an expensive King mattress and box spring for almost $2,000. After about 6 months, it started sagging in the middle. We had them come out and take a look. Their 3rd party inspection team admitted it was sagging on both sides. However, they found a small sweat stain at the head of the bed and used that as an excuse to deny the claim. Their warranty doesn't mean anything. They try to find any excuse to avoid doing the right thing. Technically, the warranty is indeed void if the mattress is found to be soiled in any way. However, the stain had nothing to do with the sagging. It is poor product, and terrible customer service. They are very nice when you are buying, but when you have a problem they don't help. The only reply I get quickly is them providing excuses when I complain. Bottom line....I didn't want money back as much as I wanted a good mattress. I didn't get either. My wife and I purchased a new mattress from this store and after the first two nights my wife was unable to sleep on it. We returned to the store to see about exchanging it and the encounter with the salesperson was very negative. Following that encounter, I spoke with the store manager, Sam, and the Regional VP. They apologized for the salesperson and have indicated we can return the mattress. We will get full credit for the mattress in an exchange. Sam will work with my wife and me to find a mattress solution. There is a $199 restocking fee that the manufacturer charges to destroy the mattress since it can't be sold. Sam and the regional VP were very pleasant and willing to help us. This experience was the complete opposite than what my wife and I had with the salesperson. After speaking with the regional VP and SAM, my wife and I have changed our opinion of this store. We are now looking forward to getting a different mattress. read more

went there to purchase a matress for my daughter. well it seemed like they were pushing thier inventory to much. they were putting down other places and thier matresses (which had the same product). then when we had decided on a matress they basically really really pushed for the paper signing and cash. we paid in cash. we said we would pick it up later that day they said ok. so then while we were out and about we found other stores had same product alot cheaper. so we went back for a refund (take note we never touched the product let alone seen it except the display and we paid CASH) and were told that they would have to send a check out. now 3 weeks later 15 business days later still NO return check. i recommend not going here and the signs outside are extremely misleading. now they are telling me it will take another week/ by the end of the month. remember we paid in CASH.
