I had the absolute worst experience ever! I had Beth Bransky as my recruiter for three years with no results. I had a good paying, stable job but worked nights and weekends. She got me an interview with a M-F job that seemed good, but upon getting hired I was bait-and-switched! The company immediately added on other (not ever previously discussed) full-time job duties to my work load, so I was doing a ton of extra work for different departments but getting paid the same! I called Beth multiple times with these concerns and told her this did not seem legitimate, etc, and she told me to stick it out. (Yeah, because all she cared about was getting her commission!) The real kicker is that I called and emailed her, as I need a different job, and she will not get back to me! I sent emails to customer service and the HR department of Mattson Resources hoping to get a different recruiter, or speak to a manger or someone in charge about this abysmal experience, with NO responses. Don't waste your time. Will not recommend to anyone, ever. read more

Keri Anderson helped me. She's helped me twice now and it was quick and easy! I called her and emailed her on Tuesday and she got me an interview the very next morning. After the interview that same day in the afternoon she called to confirm that I had gotten the job and they wanted me to start ASAP! Thanks for always looking out for my best interest. This is definitely an agency you can count on to find the right match and make sure you're happy with the position and rate you want. Being someone who's dealt with many agencies, I've definitely never felt this cared for by a recruiter. I was contacted directly by Lori Singer who I found out later was the VP at Mattson. It made sense considering how much time and effort she put in to understanding what I was looking for and preparing me for the interview process. She worked around my busy schedule and followed up with me early in the morning, during lunchtime, and evening hours. She got me in front of a great company quick with everything I was looking for and more! Her accounts are obviously very trusting of her and receive quality employees by using her for the screening/mentoring process. Had a great conversation over the phone with one of the employers and they took me out to lunch within the week. By the end of that same day, I was already being made an offer. If you are let-go from a position through this staffing agency, beware that you will be no priority after that. I have never worked with a staffing agency before. Everything started off great, but my recruiter never explained the runaround to both good and bad scenarios- the only main focus was landing a job (they are paid through for every employed client). They never explained what happens if something goes wrong with the position. First I emailed their customer service FAQ and got no reply since December 2nd. The next day I called their office location and spoke with Lori- she was Very rude and condescending. I thought they are supposed to help clients and provide answers to all of our questions? A thorough decent explanation would suffice. Good to know how a client is treated when they aren't worth money anymore and made to feel very useless. Beth Bransky came highly recommended to me, so I sent my resume and met with her shortly after. Right from the start of sitting at her desk, its very obvious she is completely unorganized and I just didn't have a great feeling about a positive outcome. She had several positions, but nothing she would discuss with me nor submit my resume for. She talked negative about other clients - again, just not having a great feeling about this! She called on a position she wanted to submit my resume for, because I WAS PERFECT FOR IT! However, after reading the description, I didn't have any experience at all. I had the interview, it went well, but obviously I didn't get the job. I asked to be submitted for another position for the same company and her reply was "that's the same position, they didn't choose you" After explaining it wasn't the same position, she said she would submit my resume. After almost two weeks, she said "they must not have liked you, they never got back to me" Well, I submitted my resume directly to the company, not only did I get the interview - I got the job!! Mattson Resources thus far has been the best thing to have happened to my career. A year ago, I was constantly checking LinkedIn for a future job that would head start my career. It felt like I couldn't find anything, especially since I was still a student and didn't have the freedom to work full-time. Eventually I had a friend who sent me a job listing that Katya Zangeneh posted. I have never gone to an agency or knew anyone else who had so I had no idea what to expect. Contacted them 2 YEARS AGO What an unprofessional, nonproductive, discouraging and non-communicative recruiting agency (and I use that term 'agency' loosely). They might as well be nonexistent. I went through the entire routine of filling out all kinds of necessary documents, testing, etc. I even arranged for my test scores to be electronically sent to them - which the other agency 'CoreStaff' did very expeditiously. I interviewed with 'Leslie P.' and I NEVER, EVER heard from her again. I have excellent work history and I was even willing to take a major pay cut but to no avail. Then to add insult to injury I gave them a second chance by following up more than once. Messages, and more messages - no returned call. I cannot tell you how inconsiderate this is considering how high unemployment rate is. People are desperate to find anything at this point. How disrespectful for them not to feel any sense of urgency for the candidate. They have a job so it's perceived that they don't care. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone - God forbid one of my unemployed friends. I don't want them to waste their time. If you notice on this site there are only (not even a handful) of people that have been placed (supposedly). When an agency is good there should be multiple - 25-60 reviews singing their praises. Oh, no. Never again. They're inept, unprofessional and completely useless. They put me in the hot seat during the interview process - like a fish in a fishbowl setting and act over-the-top invigorated and making promises to find you something as they are 'so impressed with your resume' only to NEVER hear from them again and the FALL DOWN ON THE JOB. I was a senior salesperson at a very well known major electronic manufacturer.. I was promoted three times in 4 years. I cannot even imagine that they couldn't find me even a receptionist position. This place gives a good first impression when you first enter it, the lobby area is nicely decorated, but once you go inside, it's a different story. There is not even a private room for your interview with the recruiter, you simply sit in a chair next to their desk, and their desks are not even separated by cubicles or anything, it's just an open room with all the workers, there's absolutely no privacy, so whatever you say, everyone in the room can hear it. After a "pleasant" interview with Lesley Peterson, she acted like I was a great fit for the position, but I had never heard back from her again, even after I sent a very polite follow up e-mail a week later, asking her to provide an update regardless the outcome, and then a phone call 3 days after the e-mail. When I called, the receptionist said she was there, but when I told her my name, she must have checked with Lesley, and then I was told she's not available. By the way, I was forced to have an "intern" sit in my interview with no prior notice; also the receptionist was very rude as well. If you expect a normal recruiting experience, where people would return your call/e-mail, do not go with this agency, or at least not with Lesley Peterson. read more

Short Review: Elle Cristobal at Mattson Resources helped me become hired for an amazing opportunity at a high-profile company in Irvine. Elle did all the hard work of connecting me to a company that best matched my background and skills, I only had to just come in to be interviewed! She even connected me with short-term one day assignments as we waited to hear back from the company. I am forever grateful for Elle, because now I can finally move on with my life and my new career. Detailed Review: There aren't enough words I can say about the amazing services provided by Mattson Resources and Elle Cristobal, the recruiter I worked with. Before I connected with them, my months of job searching led no where. However, after my first meeting with Elle, progress was being made almost instantly. She communicated with me through both emails and phone calls each step of the way and really kept the process moving as quickly and efficiently as possible. My process will of course vary from yours, it could be shorter, it could be longer, but Elle went above and beyond to get that first interview scheduled as soon as humanly possible. To give a brief timeline: Monday: I called into the front desk and asked how I can be connected to their staffing services, and I was told to email Elle my resume (I also included my cover letter). Tuesday: Elle calls and asks me if I can meet her later that same day for a pre-screening interview. Note: When I came first walked through the door at Mattson Resources, I realized this wasn't just any staffing agency, this was the big leagues. Mattson is a big company that takes up one whole floor of a very professional and ritzy office building, but Elle was able to provide me personalized attention and service. She was very prepared for our meeting, I can tell she looked over my resume and cover letter well in advance, and asked me the right kinds of questions to see which clients of hers I would be a great candidate for. Wednesday: She calls me to let me know there are two companies she thinks I'm a great match for, and asks if she can forward my resume to them. Thursday: She calls me back to let me know one of the companies is interested in interviewing me the next day. Friday: First interview. Elle did a fantastic job matching me with this company, I really enjoyed the interview and felt like I made a great connection with my interviewer and with their mission and vision. If hired, I can see myself at this company for a long time. Not only that, as we waited to hear back from the company, she also connected me with a couple of temporary one-day assignments! The following Tuesday: Elle calls me to let me know the company is interested in a 2nd interview on Thursday. The following Thursday: The 2nd interview, and a verbal job offer was given. However, it wasn't an official offer unless I clear a background verification and drug test. A week after the 2nd interview: My background verification and drug test cleared, and an official offer was made. I will start the following Monday. (Yes!!!) So all in all, Elle was amazing, we were communicating with each other almost on a daily basis through emails and phone calls. She also facilitated all communication between me and the company every step of the way. But most importantly, she believed in me. She kept telling me that I was a great candidate and to just relax and be confident. Before I connected with Elle, I was job searching for months without results so it was very easy for me to lose confidence in myself, but this time I had Elle in my corner who's got my back, and that really made a huge difference! Lisa was my recruiter, and instead of giving me all the info over the phone, she had me waste time and gas to drive over 30mins to meet with her, for a 5 minutes interview and sent me home to do an online assessment, and once completed she never got back to me. She informed me I needed the assessment before she hand off my resume to the job I originally applied for. She never sent over my resume and didn't respond to any emails until 2 days later. She took it upon herself to decided whether or not I deserve an interview instead of the actual company itself. How can she help people find jobs when there's a huge lack of communication. I applied for a position online through one of the major job sites. I received a call from Muna the next day. She sounded very nice and told me I would be a good fit for the position I applied for. We set up a meeting and I filled out the online application prior to our meeting. The office appears nice and professional. Looks can be deceiving. The meeting went well and she told me about a few positions I would be perfect for. She told me to fix something on my resume which I did. I emailed her several times to follow up and have not heard anything. How unprofessional. At least have the decency to say I'm not a good fit, the position has been filled, any response. It is not nice to ignore job seekers and give them high hopes for a job. This staffing agency is a joke. If you enjoy wasting your precious time and getting your hopes up and being ignored because they don't have the balls to be honest, by all means stop by. You have nothing better to do, right?
