So we came here after eating our way through leonardis pizza as the wife had the idea now to get ice cream. So I found this place as it had good reviews and some news articles stated the best ice cream in the state. So when you walk in, first thing I noticed was the thousands of pictures taken of I'm guessing patrons from the past. The employees there were all young like teenagers and very nice. I then of course sampled a lot of the flavors. They were actually good. My wife then ordered a regular for us of cookie butter gelato which was excellent with judges ice cream and then another small of lemon sorbet. We got our little one a vanilla gelato cone. Everything was very good and creamy. My daughter no lie ate 3 vanilla cones and kept on yelling for more. Now usually I'm not the parent from Augusta Gloop from Willy Wonka, but my daughter won't eat anything and she's screaming more. So we gave her more as we were happy she would just eat. LOVE LOVE LOVE! I'm so thankful that I found this place! I've been dying to find a good Gelato place in the West Palm Beach/Jupiter area and this is it!! I haven't been able to find a single place that has Cookie Monster! Matty's has it and they even make it with blue spirulina instead of blue food coloring so it is the healthy version! How can you go wrong with healthy Cookie Monster flavored gelato?! During our recent visit, they didn't have Cookie Monster out but they did have a tub of it available to buy. Since it wasn't available when we went, we tried some other flavors. We got a large which lets you get up to 4 flavors. Regular gets you up to 3 flavors. They are all such unique flavors too! We ended up choosing cake batter, cookie butter (tasted like graham cracker), chocolate hazelnut, and stracciatella. We originally just wanted a small or regular cup but we couldn't resist all the delicious flavors so we ended up buying a large. I do wish they had toppings or mix ins but I guess that is more for ice cream places rather than gelato places. Either way, their gelato is phenomenal and I can't wait to go back! This is definitely going to be my new go to gelato place! read more

I don't get the hype, though. It's a local fav and I totally get that community connection. But the gelato itself was middle of the road. I think unfortunately this place is overrated. Cones are not fresh to made and gelato is too sweet.

They have 22 flavors to pick from and from what we've tried they are all really good gelato. The walls are covered in family pictures. My mom likes the peanut butter chocolate and the strawberry. She says it taste like a peanut butter and jelly. I also love their lemon sorbet. My dad likes the peanut butter chocolate and M&M. My brother likes the judges chocolate gelato. I think it is all pretty good. The staff is really nice. This is our second time in and they said "oh I remember you!" You will have a lot of fun at Matty's Gelato factory trust me it's nice so remember to come here! They have a lot of of awards! You better come check it out! I was in the area meeting my MIL for lunch, and she wanted to get some gelato, so here we are! I've been obsessed with gelato since traveling to Italy, so I take any opportunity to get some. This was a great find, a local spot with many options of gelato flavors, cones, and even waffle taco shells, which is a first for me! I got to try 2 flavors in my sprinkle cone (which I've never seen before, very unique). I got the toffee crunch and pistachio. Both flavors were rich and creamy and delicious. I am an ice cream fan - and have enjoyed "the best" from all around the world (from Bassett's in Philadelphia to the push cart gelato in Sorrento). No place tops Matty's. We first tried it on the recommendation of a stranger, who sat at the table next to us at dinner, years before we moved to Florida. The service is always great. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. The free samples were quite welcome. The original location, in Juno Beach, is a bit small, but light and welcoming. Even if it weren't, the gelato would be well worth it. The flavors are intense, the consistency smooth and every one "melts in your mouth." This was a quick visit, my son had a craving for ice cream or gelato. We walked in here. Everybody was so much fun and very informative. I've got to try a couple of different flavors, yes, my son was embarrassed by me, talking to people and introducing myself lol, I got to try the coffee gelato which was absolutely delicious. My son had the chocolate combination and it was absolutely delicious I tried it and it was so refreshing. The reason for this review is the price for a small cone is posted on the sign as 4.50. When I questioned why I was charged 4.75 the person didn't have an answer. I can never understand why gelato places can't make great tasting flavors. We're a fruit family and the Key lime, lemon, blood orange and raspberry are to die for. This is hands down the best key lime gelato I've had. I would drive an hour for Mattys gelato it's that's good. The owner and staff were so friendly and samples were no problem to ask for :) pistachio, orange creamsicle, chocolate coffee and strawberry gelato were absolutely delicious.
