I was so excited to finally be able to try Van Leeuwen. The first time I visited this plaza, Van Leeuwen was "coming soon" so I was so glad to be able to try it! Ambiance: I think the decor and the storefront is really nice. This location definitely catches your eye even if you don't know the brand. Service: I do have to say that the customer service is really good, but they are really slow. I walked in when there was no line, had to leave next door to use the restroom, came back to an incrediblly long line, it took 10 minutes for them to assist only the first person in line, once I realized it would take around 40 minutes to be seen, I decided to leave and come back. Since they close at 11 I had time. Once I finally came back it still took 20 minutes for them to assist the couple ahead of us. Honestly the timing is what would make me hesitant to come back. Ice Cream: The ice cream was delicious. Once I was able to sample a couple flavors there wasn't one I didn't like, but there was of course one I liked more to get a small scoop. I also really liked that they use metal spoons as their sample spoons. Helps reduce waste and I really admire that. I ordered the Dulce De Leche & Cookies and Cream flavor. Such an amazing combination. Pricing: As a fan of the ice cream brand I know that their prices are high. One pint of their ice cream at the store is around $15. One scoop at this store location costed us $9. It might be worth buying a pint at the store for me rather than waiting in the long line again. I'm giving Van Leeuwen 3-stars for all of my critiques. They're not horrible, but they can be better. They are a new store so I hope this review helps.

After family pizza dates we have a traditional of getting ice cream so it was exciting to see a new spot pop up right next to Grimaldi's. It smelled amazing as soon as we walked in. There were choices of waffle cones or cups. Nice staff let us have samples. Hubby's choice of honeycomb was a hit so we got that in a waffle cup which turned out to be kind of stale. Next time I will try the waffle cone instead as our brother in law's was freshly made.

I love Van Leeuwan, anytime I'm in an area that has one I make it my mission to go visit. I love the cleanliness and aesthetic of these shops and the consistency. I came here for dessert and it was busy but the staff was polite and helped the line move pretty fast. I ordered a cup of cookies and cream and it hit the spot. The location is so convenient and it's nice that it's such a family friendly plaza.

We were so excited to come here and left a little disappointed but the girl working was friendly. The value of the 2 scoop cup to share was good although I can't help but wonder if I would have had to pay more for a cone because I would have liked one. She most likely asked quickly and I didn't hear her and I have no doubt she would have kindly handed us one had we asked. McKayla was super patient and gave us samples. We went with the matcha and the cookies and cream. Earl grey is another favorite of mine that we have bought before at Sprouts. The selection of ice cream flavors was a lot smaller than I expected with duplicates of many items and what looked like ice cream starting to melt in the case all the way to the right when facing the menu. When I went to look at the flavors that are available in pints I would have liked to see more of those, especially the Dr. Seuss ones. If we come back we would likely grab a container and run with it due to the flavor selection. Overall a great addition to downtown at the Gardens and a fun stop after the movies and/or phat boy & voodoo bayou which frequent.

Decent ice cream, pretty normal prices these days are $10 for a sundae. A little unfortunate they were out of a few of the things I was looking for like cookies, pistachio, etc. Otherwise my PBJ sundae was yummy as a quick yummy treat. I didn't wait long, and its fun in there

The staff were friendly and patient. Answered all the customers questions with a smile. It was clean and organized with even with long line of customers. Ice cream was creamy and satisfying. FYI...this is a cashless business.

Came back to PBG for a quick visit and was happy to see a new sweets spot in Downtown at the Gardens. This is a much-needed dessert option for after dinner or a midday treat! Located conveniently next door to a couple of yummy dinner spots, the theater, hotels, and the mall--this shop is bright, clean, and very welcoming! The people behind the counter were super nice and welcoming. When you try a flavor, you get a real metal spoon (sadly, you get a plastic spoon with your cup). Real ice cream with delicious tasting flavors like mango & sticky rice, strawberry matcha, sicilian pistachio, and more. Only 1 fruit sorbet (mango on this day) but it was amazing! There are shakes, sundaes, and floats you can choose or make up. Prices are about average for a couple of scoops, but I have to say, the scoops are pretty small. The waffle cones are on the thick side compared to the amount of ice cream you get. Considering we kept coming back because it was delicious... I'd say it's about right. There is no other place to get scoops besides the grocery store. I hope this place does well!

We wanted to dine in and they handed us menus and told us to have a seat where we like. The menu is large with loads of great options. Staff brought uswaters and crispy noodles with duck sauce. We've been missing this kind appetizer and sit-down Chinese food in the area for a very long time. Our dinner was delicious. I went with the Pork Lo Mein with an egg roll. It was tasty and the Lo Mein was rich with flavor and nicely seasoned. My gal had the sweet and sour chicken with a vegetable roll. Same experience, the flavors were excellent and we were both pleased with our dinners. I am happy to have a great place for Chinese food. It's been a long time since we've had a local spot and this is definitely my new place. Well, here's the nutty side of the story; we ordered delivery the next night since we had some family over. We tried completely different dishes and had the same experience: everyone was blown away by the flavors and looks of the food. We all enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to going in person as soon as possible.

The chef isn't too fond of modifications and customizations outside of what's printed on the menu so be mindful of that. The rice is full of flavor and the bbq ribs were so tender. I tried a passion fruit tea they had & it was so flavorful and refreshing but the tea was $6 ; a bit on the expensive side. I think I know what I'm having for lunch today lol!
