A true beach town vibe here with attentive and friendly customer service. We enjoyed our Murf bike rentals, which are electric bikes that were the perfect way to explore this area. There are so many bicyclists in this area, it's extremely regular to bike here and this way a fun way to get around. Great place to buy a new board made by local shapers. The service shop for dings and repairs is incredibly helpful, although it is a little on the slow end and more expensive than I would have liked but their service saved my board so it was worth the time and money. We stop there every year while on vacation and this is the last time! Picked up 3 hats this year for our son's bdays. Got back home to CT and was packing up one of them to mail to my son in the Navy when I discovered the inside brim and back snaps were dirty and stained. Made a trip back to exchange the hat. All tags, cardboard insert in-place, original receipt in the bag same as the day we bought it. I didn't get the words out of my mouth and the owner snapped at me that he didn't trust I had not worn the hat and stained it - I'm a middle aged Mom, I don't even wear hats. He offered no solution and basically dismissed me from the store. Next year we will take our business around the corner and let all of our summer friends know to steer clear. read more

I went in after not ever having used a paddle board and I told the salesperson that. She was very nice and helpful. She explained the different boards to me and sold me a $1000 board and a paddle. I was on it for all of 30 minutes and fell off and the $125 paddle sunk. She never informed me that the paddle would sink. I had specifically asked if the board would sink but assumed she would have told me that the paddle would sink. Kayak and canoe paddles don't sink and she knew I had no paddle board experience. When I went today and spoke to the manager I was told "thank you for your feedback." That's it. read more

Called store to purchase 2 boards for myself and my child. As per an add on craigs list. I live in MA. I was asking about availability. Spoke to the rudest person I have ever spoken to in my life. He actually hung up on me because he was busy. I called back and said I want to buy some product from you and that was rude. I asked how much the boards where. His response was" with an attitude like that you cant afford them." Hung up again. I called back and asked for the manager his response was we have no manager Im the owner. Yeah the guy isn't MR Personality sometimes, overlook that and look at the selection of products. Stewart , T. Patterson, Dewery Weber, Jim Phillips, T&C surfboards for way less then other local shops. He also has great service- free ding repair for any board bought at Matunuck. You don't go in to be his best friend, but to get a great deal on a SUP and surfboard. overall I 've bought 2 SUP's and wetsuits and three surfboards and always walked out feeling good about my deal.
