I have visited this winery quite a few times with some friends. I had another great day here. The wine was delicious, the band was great and the visitors were very friendly as well. This time i was able to get a chocolate wine shot. So tasty. Definitely recommend it! Sunset white is definitely a go to for a light wine.

Always a fan of the atmosphere. Such a beautiful outdoor space sitting among the Adirondack chairs surrounded by trees. The staff is always so welcoming and knowledgeable.

This is a somewhat rocky parking lot attached to a beautiful vineyard. The interior feels like a hunting lodge designed for fun instead of hunting, and there is outdoor seating on an attached deck and a second area downhill overlooking the grapes. No bears are getting these grapes, they seem to be surrounded by a secured fence. Their dessert shooter is a lot of fun - a delicate chocolate cup filled with one of their three dessert wines. It was recommended to drink about half the shooter, and then pop the whole thing. The wine blended perfectly with the chocolate. They also sell cold water and soda for those who may not be doing a tasting or drinking wine.

This is always one of our GO-TO Vineyards while in CT. The staff is always super friendly, the grounds are beautiful and the wines are very good, I especially love their Rendezvous wine... Be sure to do the chocolate shooters with dessert wine and pair the tastings with the truffles. Very delicious!!

Cayuga White and St. Croix Red! Two delicious wines for a beautiful summer day! #Connecticut #winetrail #wine

Awesome atmosphere! Great service! Yummy wine! Trifecta!! We loved kicking off our summer vacation with Maugle Sierra. One of our favorite spots on the CT Wine Trail.

They have a nice fireplace for the winter months. We went on a Sunday and brought our own food in. We enjoyed are snacks while we listed to live music. Tasty wine , more expensive then neighboring wineries. We ordered 2 bottles that came too $80.

This vineyard definitely gets points for having the most cabin-like feel. It's a spot I could imagine staying for a while. (They do have some live music days!) However, unbelievably to me, I did not like any of the wines here. I did not find them complex enough, and the prices seemed way too much to splurge on something that I didn't like. Also, it was really hard to get anyone's attention and stay on track with the pours. I didn't feel like they knew how to handle a small crowd compared to some of the other spots on the CT Wine Trail. Not my jam, but if you're around the area, it'd be worth scoping out.

Super cute and cozy spot with plenty of seating for any size party. The staffer that gave us a tasting was great and passionate about his work. The wine was good. My favorite was the rendezvous white which is a Riesling Cayuga Chardonnay blend. Bought a bottle to save for hot weather. The best part was the dessert chocolate shooter with a dessert wine inside. Plenty of yummy snack options. There's a deck for the better weather and a fire place inside.

Great atmosphere. Wines are good. Especially the whites. And the grounds are gorgeous.

The first round went fine and the course is beautiful and expansive (long rides between green and tee boxes), I don't think anyone would want to walk the course unless you have 6-7 hours. The second round didn't go so well. We were told that we had a threesome in front of us and that we would be able to finish the second 18 no problem. We got on the 2nd hole and that threesome became a sixsome. We called the pro shop and they sent the starter out, it initially cleared up but by hole #7 there were 6 people on the green all playing their shots. We called again and it became a he said she said thing. We were told that there the 2 extras were only watching, but yet 6 people had bags on their carts. To make things worse, our cart died. We had to get pushed to the turn where we switched out our cart. While we were getting our cart switched, I walked into the pro shop to voice my displeasure and asked if they usually let sixsomes out. The reply was "not usually, but sometimes". If I had known that, I wouldn't have driven 1.5 hours and paid $200! Since the people in charge decided to do nothing about the sixsome and we would never finish the second 9, we decided to play the front 9 AGAIN. After 3 holes, our cart died again. There was no answer from the pro shop and we asked the cart girl to send help...that help never came. To top it all off after having my cart pushed for the remaining 6-7 holes, when we finished, we pushed the cart next to my car where I unloaded everything. I was about to leave and someone who was in charge of the carts came and got the cart, he told me "it was a d!ck move to leave the cart there". So I have 1 cart that doesn't work, switch it out for another cart that doesn't work, have to play behind a sixsome and don't get to play the 2nd back 9, and I am the one who is wrong? It's unfortunate because the course is beautiful, but the customer experience is probably the worst I have ever had. It was not worth the drive or the money for me.

The vineyard has indoor and outdoor seating. We started out with a three wine flight ($22 per flight) from the custom wine flight: Seaport White, Sheer Chardonnay and Cab. Franc. The next wine flight was also from the custom wine flight: Riesling, Oak Chardonnay and Pawcatuck River Red. All the wines were very good. Thank heaven, the flights were in glasses. Our favorite was the Sheer Chardonnay. Normally, I don't like Un-Oaked Chardonnay, but this one was excellent. This baby came home with us. The gift shop has some very clever and unique wine related items. In fact, I thought this was the best gift shop in any vineyard I've visited. We purchased a towel, "Let's Drink Wine and Judge People". Customer Service was pretty good. As we were leaving, it appeared that the winery was having a music event on the grounds. Definitely will make a return trip to Stonington Vineyards in Stonington, Ct. Cheers everyone!!!
