We have been dealing with a cracked foundation and sinking house for eight years. We contracted…read morewith a different company that installed three "push" piers and injected foam. With assurances that our problems were over, we replaced patio and flooring. House continued to sink. Company honored warranty but we were not high on list of priorities and waited months for their return. In all, they lifted house and injected foam three times. The fourth time back, they said we needed more piers at additional cost. We decided this company was for the "birds" and we wouldn't pay them anything more. We had discovered that push piers were the wrong type for our soil and helical piers should have been used. The foam was the wrong type as well in that it filled voids but didn't provide adequate support. Through the company that makes helical piers, we found a local installer in Terra Contracting of Las Vegas. What a difference! Ed came out, knew what we needed and took care of us like we were family. It took 13 helical piers and extensive injections of the right stuff. Work crew, led by Jose, was fantastic! They came when they said they would come, on time, every time. They replaced the dirt and cleanup was so good you couldn't tell they had been there. I would highly recommend Terra Contracting! We have to patch and paint; and, redo the flooring but we are confident it will be for the last time.

Stay far away from this company! They were called to my property by LVFD after a fire to secure it…read more They charged us $177.88-$130.22/hr for 3 men to sit around and do nothing for hours, only to then place 2 pieces of thin plywood - one on a window, another on a back door. This was supposedly their after-hours rate, in addition to an after-hours charge of $369.02. In their invoice, they stated that they boarded up 3 doors, when in reality, they only posted a notice on the 2 other doors. They also failed to check any other openings in the house. Consequently, the property was broken into the very next day through an unlocked window. Clearly, their definition of securing a property differs vastly from one dictated by common sense. The total bill for their useless service: $3,157.26. On my first attempt at contacting them to express how outlandish this charge was, they hung up on me. Then, less than a month after the fire, they started to threaten me with a lien. The contractor's board declined to investigate them as board-up services are outside of their scope, but someone definitely should!

Side note: 36" microwaves are no longer produced. They came out as promised at 8:00 and took measurements and did a very good job removing the old microwave and installing a new 30" one and wood surrounds matching the cabinets. Very polite and great job and clean- up. Norma even replaced a piece of cabinet trim that had fallen off prior to. Definitely would use again.
