He was so informative, patient, honest, and truly cared about making sure we understood every step of the process. You can tell he genuinely takes pride in what he does. We had 5 estimates and so glad we went with JJ! We have 3 cars and only way to the front door was walking up the driveway- we needed a pathway to the door. It's been the same dirt lot since the house was built over a decade ago. We finally decided to get it done so our new dog could have a nice place to play, especially during the summers, where we can control the heat levels. JJ and associate came out quickly and made me feel really comfortable. There was no weird upselling (I wanted something really plain) and no fear mongering. I could tell immediately that we were going to go with Rock N Block so I cancelled my other appointment with a different company and put my deposit down right away. Within hours, JJ had the plans to me and I got the HOA paperwork started. Once that was done, I was scheduled immediately to have my yard worked on. The day of, the workers came, did a final measurement and got to work. It took 3 days but it came out exactly like I was promised and had envisioned myself. The workers were extremely friendly and self contained. They were responsible and trustworthy. They were also very concerned with my happiness. They asked me if things were looking good quite a few times. They literally made my yard perfect. I'm still looking for imperfections and cannot find them. If there were any complaints, the communication could be more but to be honest, they give information and don't feel the need to consistently remind you, which is also good. We did have a small hiccup where the workers didn't know they had to install a few other things but JJ made it right immediately and I can only be happy about that. I'd rather have the problem be solved immediately then get a phone call being told it would be done, although I can see how some people would want both. Pricing was fair in my opinion. I was told it should have been less expensive but I don't think so. The job is immaculate and the items are gorgeous with great quality. The craftsmanship means a lot to me and I would pay for it again. I wish I took some before pictures but I completely forgot to. Imagine a literal nothing of a yard. Now, it's gorgeous and I can't wait to accessorize!

It was nice dealing with a veteran owned business that feels really personal with a hands on owner. For some stupid reason 1 side of my wall was basically missing a row of blocks. I've always HATED that my neighbor and I could stare into each other's patio doors without trying. I never wanted to offend him by asking to build the wall up but I took advantage to bring it up as they were moving out. He said yeah he hated it too so go for it. He's on the HOA board so my architectural request got approved within days and the search for a mason began. I got a bunch of responses to my Yelp project request with some saying they don't do small jobs like mine, some crazy quotes of 2k (assume that was F off pricing). Luckily Mr. Brown responded with an incredibly fair quote after I sent details and photos and I think he stopped by the next morning to drop off samples to make sure the colors matched. We got it scheduled pretty quickly and his in person quote was a little lower than the text quote, which has never happened before. It really says what a good and honest person you're dealing with. His guy came out on time, was nice and did a great job. The only issue was that I didn't think I had to mention the mortar should match the existing not match the block color. I didn't pay attention and only caught it after it was done. Mr Brown came out to take a look and his suggestion was to cover the brown mortar with grey. It's not an exact match (I knew it wouldn't be) but it's good enough and I really appreciate his quick response. He screwed all four boards together, used multiple stakes on each side (instead of just two originally), and even set the corners into concrete so they wouldn't come up again. We set a date (07/06/26) for the replacement and what I thought was a fair negotiated price ($250), it really ended not being a fair price at all. Paco initially wanted $280, I negotiated with him to $250. Even at $250 he was higher than all others by $50-$100 more. I asked him if I could use my credit card, he said yes but there would be 4% surcharge. I didn't agree with that, so I asked if he could wave that, he reluctantly agreed. So, date and price was set. Come Monday 07/06/26, he claims his credit card service isn't working, so I agreed to a Zelle payment. Our appointment was for Monday (07/06/26 at 11:30; not only did his credit card service not work according to him, but he continued to change his arrival time. He texted me he was running behind on 07/06/26 and now would arrive no later than 12:30. By this time I'm seeing many red flags. I called him @ 11:46 on 07/06/26 to verify with him that he would arrive no later than 12:30 and was still intact. While confirming his 12:30 time, now he tells me 1 O'clock and blames me for his late arrival because I called to verify the time. During our conversation on the phone he kept interrupting me, talking over me, telling me I was upset that I couldn't use my credit card (furthest from the truth), and that I set the price for the job and so forth. I told him, I no longer needed his services, he was rude and not accommodating or respectful of my time and needs. Who wants to invite someone to their home after a terrible text and phone conversation, NO THANK YOU! To say the least, he wasn't given the job. Be careful who you hire people.

David responded to my urgent need to address a leak in my irrigation system where the poly tubing had ruptured underneath my driveway as well as a faulty joint in the main irrigation valve coupler. David arrived and proceeded to walk me through my system, discussed the age, pros/cons and we discussed the options to resolve. The age of the system was 20-years and In the end, agreed to rebuild the entire system at a very reasonable price. David knocked the work out in less than 3-4 hours. I never knew the layout of my old system, second owner and drip line tubing and emitters were buried. Now, I was able to photo document everyting with a map of how all the main and drip line tubing was laid out for future reference. I came away very happy with everything new and 1-year warranty. Stay clear! We hired…read morethem to install artificial turf, replace irrigation lines and emitters, replace a backflow and install pavers. We had a miserable experience. The artificial turf was the worst. They installed material with a crease down the middle. Instead of making a claim to the supplier they installed it anyway. Later after complaining about, it they did replace it. When they did, they sent out an inexperienced young man, with another employe who made a mess out of it. Nails were driven in too deep and there were marks all over in the turf. They were reluctant but changed it out again. They made a large vertical seem at the end which made no sense and was unsightly. The end piece was changed out again and this time with a mismatched color. We then had them cut out the end piece and replace it with rock. The paid for turf was a far more expensive product. On the other end of the yard where we requested rock to replace the original turf they put in mismatched color and size rock. The backflow that was replaced leaked. It took them about a week to come fix that. We then noticed a shrub dying and noticed that the drip system to that wasn't working as well as two other plants. They sent a guy out who showed up two hours late and couldn't figure it out. He said he would have to return another day. We were supposed to still be covered under the one-year warranty. He left and so did I. Upon return I noticed the drip system had run for 4 hours in one zone as he had opened a valve to override the control panel and forgot to turn it off before he left. We received an email that the warranty only covered manufactures defects and that this was not the case even though the true problem wasn't determined. It was and has been a stressful and unpleasant experience.

We talked to the owner Corky first. A couple days later John from Lakeview came out and gave us some ideas, and an estimate. We got a VERY reasonable estimate to replace our concrete patio with a larger patio with pavers, AND troubleshoot and replace (2) old irrigation valves. A few very important qualities of Lakeview Patios... * It only took (2) days from start to completion, for everything. * They always started on time. * Always in communication with us. * Their employees were VERY, VERY clean. I had one hell of a time with my backyard, lets just get this out of the way. There was a TON of communication issues with my GC on this project and of course Mts. Edge HOA did not help either. BUT we are not here for them but for the amazing Luxury Custom Landscapes. That being said, lets get down to the greatness. Well my project was a big one. I had desert landscaping before with some bushes, big trees, rock, and pavers. Pictures are posted of AFTER only, for some reason Yelp would not allow me to add my before's. Not much to show besides the incredible job they did. We made it a bit more simple and modern in the backyard. Trust me when I say... its 100% different and 100% amazing! Zach and his crew did one amazing job on the entire project. One they had to deal with the over the top OCD/OCPD person that I am. I asked a lot of them, made them change a few things, and they did it without a hitch. Zach remained professional at all times even though I know some of things I asked of him were frustrating. Zach new we were spending a ton of money to make one hell of an amazing backyard out of it. Zach and his crew did not disappoint when it came to the finish project. Ill let the pictures speak for themselves but things we re-did were: new modern pavers, a ton of turf/grass area, new retaining wall, plants/shrubs/trees, a new half in-half out spa, and the best of all a new Pergola, TV/BBQ lounge area. These other companies were slow with quotes and re-quotes (some I never heard from again), terrible at communication and answering questions... I was shocked at how poorly some of these landscaping businesses were run when we were ready to spend thousands of dollars working with them. I stumbled across a post from a neighbor about her friends sons company running a turf special, so I decided to get one more quote! Zac came out a day later, we were quoted on the spot with an official written quote only a day later. The quote was the most fair quote we received and nothing changed after the fact... zero surprises! They went out of their way to bring by turf samples so we could make a decision that this was the company we wanted to use. They were able to start within a few days of request and got the entire project done in 1 day. I absolutely LOVE my yard now!! I am so lucky to have found these guys and now I'll shout it from the rooftops. They were quick, ready and willing, very professional, and they do great work! Young entrepreneurs who actually want your business and treat you like a paying customer!!!
