Okay. I was a bit skeptical at first because I thought one of the other luau was slightly better. Buttt once I arrived it was actually sooo fun!! From getting Lei'd to going around the field to have different experiences. They have a variety of actives, free pictures that they will send to your phone. We got Hawaiian "tattoos" We got to learn how to peel a banana, I know sounds silly but actually hard than it sounds! We learned to scrape a coconut, they had macca root I hope I spelled that right. It's medicinal and helps with pain and relaxation. They also had alllll you can eat style buffet which was awesome! The food was sooo good!!! The show was amazing! Honestly soo worth it. Everyone was soo nice and the cultural aspect was great learning about different time periods. It just helped seal my last day in Hawaii and just really taking in all of their cultural beliefs.

came here to celebrate my mothers 80'th birthday and had a great time! the staff was very friendly and organized. there was a wide variety of food for the dinner buffet including hawaiian treats taro bread, kalua pork, and marinade chicken. seating was cafeteria style on benches and offered good seating for a party of 12!

Mauka Warriors Luau was one of the highlights of our trip to Oahu! From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well organized. Purchasing tickets online was quick and easy, and check-in and seating were seamless. Even with a large crowd, the staff kept everything moving efficiently and made guests feel welcome. The buffet offered an impressive variety of Hawaiian and Polynesian dishes, with plenty of options for everyone. Everything was well stocked throughout the evening. The show itself was outstanding. The warriors were incredibly skilled, and every performance showcased impressive athleticism, precision, and storytelling. The fire knife dancing was absolutely breathtaking and had the entire audience captivated. It was the perfect blend of history, culture, music, and entertainment. The pre-show cultural activities added an extra layer to the experience, making it feel interactive rather than just a dinner show.

THE BEST LUAU EVER!! This will be a hard follow up after attending this luau! Loved loved lovedddddddddd it! The atmosphere, the activities, the culture, everything was great! Everything was organized, plenty of food, and the show was AMAZING!

First time at a luau and it was so much fun. Enjoyed the pre-show activities. The food was good with lots of choices. The best part of the night was how interactive the show was. Went on stage to learn to luau dance and to celebrate our anniversary. They even gave flowers to the couples celebrating. Still amazed by the fire dancers!

A lot of fun! Plenty of food and drinks. A well-planned show. It's our first time in Hawai'i and our first luau. The staff were friendly, clear, and helpful. Consummate professionals all around. Arrived with a tour group, got our seating assignments, time to get drinks and check out pre-show activities. Some fun interactive stuff and some fun educational stuff. Then dinner: abundant and extremely well-managed. They know what they're doing. Also, tasty! The show? Loud, proud, and Polynesian! So much fantastic representation of not only Hawai'i, but the Māori, Fiji, and more. A brilliant bit of showmanship. After? Quick off to the buses, but time to grab some quick pics with the performers. We loved it!

This was honestly one of the funnest luaus I've been to in a long time. It was such an easy process to get into the venue and the staff was so nice. Once we were shown to our table and they gave the go to explore the activities and booths, it was so much fun. There was honestly so much to do! The dinner buffet was choice!! I was really surprised, usually luaus that I have gone to don't focus much on the food, but Mauka Warriors? They delivered. Like what do you mean the food is good AND I GET TO GO BACK FOR SECONDS?! The best The show was so entertaining and fun. I loved all the crowd interactions and performances. They really put their heart into it and you can tell. Really kept my family and I in awe. Overall, I would love to come back again! Huge shout out to Barbie, for making our experience extra special! Your hospitality was everything and more!

Absolutely loved Mauka Luau! From the food to the drinks to the whole experience, worth every penny. I'd recommend this to everyone visiting!

I have been visiting Oahu since I was 7 years old, and not once have my family and I gone to a Luau. Mauka Warriors Luau was the perfect place to finally experience it. It was such a memorable experience. From start to finish, it felt like a full immersion into the culture with the food, performances, and atmosphere all making the night unforgettable. It was also such a unique, interactive experience, with opportunities to really engage with the performers and the show. FOOD: 9/10 SERVICE: 10/10 AMBIANCE: 10/10 We purchased the VIP experience, which included: Painted tattoos, which were so beautiful and intricate Free Lei and Lei bracelets upon arrival Free drink upon entering and Alcohol vouchers Seating up front near the stage Going up first to get food Experiences: Traditional Hawaiian buffet with kalua pork, poi, and tropical sides, and much more Fresh tropical drinks and cocktails Fire knife dance, hula performances, and live music How the kalua pork is taken out of the steaming hot ground Hat weaving FOOD: 9/10 The buffet had a great variety of authentic Hawaiian dishes. The kalua pork was tender and flavorful, the poi was traditional (definitely an acquired taste), and the sides complemented everything well. The tropical drinks were refreshing and perfectly sweet for the warm evening. SERVICE: 10/10 The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming. They guided guests through seating, drinks, and answered any questions about the dishes or performances, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. All the staff members of the show were very talented, passionate, and also funny. I loved how engaging they all were with the audience. AMBIANCE: 10/10 The show was incredible. The fire knife dance and hula performances were full of energy and skill. The outdoor setting, with beautiful views, made the evening feel relaxed yet festive. The interactive elements, like audience participation and photo opportunities with performers, made it even more special and memorable. The decorations on the table, stage, and all around were beautiful. I would 100% recommend going here to anyone who is looking for a fun, interactive, and worth-it luau.

A *SOLID*4 1/2 stars, with only one tiny glitch, which I will get to. I heard very good things about this luau, one of the things is that it's locally owned. It's run by local Polynesians, as well as military veterans. That's one of the reasons I decided to book. I booked through the ticket office at Pearl Harbor for a discount. You can also get a military/veterans discount booking directly with them. Even without the discount, The prices are reasonable for all that you get. They have three different price levels, and each price level determines what type of lei greeting you get, where you sit for the show, and the number of drink tickets you get. I chose the middle tier, which got me a kukui nut lei, seating in the middle section, and two drink tickets. The luau is about a half hour to 45 minutes from Honolulu, depending on traffic and where you are starting from. The luau is not on the beach, but the luau grounds were very well kept. I paid an extra $30 for transportation, and it was worth every penny. It's so nice to just be able to sit back and let somebody else do all of the driving. Our guide was "cousin Stephanie," and she was wonderful. So friendly, so engaging, she is Oahu born and raised, she told us lots of neat stories about the islands, as well as gave us some tips on places to visit and eat at. I cannot say enough, good things about her. We got to the grounds, and it did look like it was going to be raining, so they gave everybody who wanted one a poncho, the rain was sporadic and very light, but it was still nice to have them. There were activities, such as. (temporary.) Polynesian tattoos. Cooking lessons, having your photo taken with different items from Polynesia, making headbands, and other things. Before dinner, there was a hula lesson for those who wanted to try, and then there was the "imu" ceremony, were they pulled the pig from the oven in the ground. As for drinks, you could either purchase them from the bar, and they also had things such as fruit punch, water, etc. complementary. Dinner was authentic, and ono-licious! It was buffet style, and everything was good. I especially loved the fish, the kalua pork, the mac & cheese, as well as the grilled pineapple. I loved everything, but those were my favorites. If I were not so full, I would've gladly gone back for seconds. Here is a link to a typical menu......https://maukawarriorsluau.com/dinner-menu/ The show was about an hour long, and it was fantastic. The show differs from your typical luau, which covers Polynesia in general. This show, the theme is Polynesian war history told from the origins, to modern times. It weaves the different islands of Polynesia together, telling stories of historic battles, combined with the Polynesian spirit. It was very authentic, and I loved the show. They also did a tribute and a special "Thank you" to all of the military and veterans in the audience, which I also thought was very special. The one tiny thing that I have to take off a half a star for, was the way that they did the drink coupons. I got two drink coupons, so I thought, fine... Two drinks. I get to the bar, and on the menu, it said that only certain drinks were covered by the drink tickets. I don't drink, and they had two very interesting "mocktails" on the menu, but neither of them were covered by my drink ticket. It just covered things such as juice, soda, coconut, water, etc. I had two very nice cans of coconut water, they were OK, but I was a little bit disappointed. That is the only. Thing I could possibly say about the entire evening. Thank you for an amazing trip through the islands of Polynesia. I will definitely tell everybody I know that this is the luau to go to....

I will say this is the first place we have been in 5 days that actually embodied Ohana. It felt like family was welcoming you in to your table, to all the fun activities. The food was the best we have had at any attraction. THE SHOW WAS AMAZING! I would have to say it was better than the Polynesian Cultural Center. The performers seemed more the part. This Luau was an alternative to the KoOlina Luau we had visited twice before and we were unsure. Extremely glad we booked it for our party of 11. These memories will last forever.

    The buffet!

After the Paradise Cove luau closed and I was looking for a new spot and Man did I find it! Been going to Hawaii over 20 years and this is my favorite one I have ever been to! The show and story was very entertaining, sunny, and engaging! The shuttle picked us up from our Aulani resort and dropped us off after! The food was a buffet style and it did not disappoint! They have plenty of Activities before the actual show which are included! So make sure to be there early! I went with 6 adults and we all thought it was a great experience! The staff was friendly and made you feel awesome at all times! You can take pictures with the entertainers after as well! The only downside is that it is not near the water but overall would do again.

All the performers are multi-talented performers and you can tell they enjoy what they do. It turned out to be one of the best live entertainment shows I've been to in years. It was hilarious, engaging, and most importantly, there was murder, and lots of it. If you purchase a Groupon, you will need to choose which show date you'd like to attend and pay an additional admission fee of $12.48 to cover tax and waitstaff gratuity. You will also be asked to choose your entrée for the 4-course dinner included in your purchase price. The choices are sous vide chicken breast, fresh island fish, and penne pasta. The show is held at the Alana Waikiki Business Center of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Alana - Waikiki Beach. The free WIFI sign-in and password will be made available to you when you check-in. At check-in, you will be given a ticket according to your entrée choice as well as a name tag to write down an alias. My alias for the evening was Agatha Poirot. There is a cash bar available as well as free iced tea and coffee. An ATM and restrooms are conveniently located outside of the room where the performance is held. The actors and hosts are very entertaining and did a great job in making the evening a lot of fun. I won't give the story away, but I will say that this particular storyline will have multiple murders, and the actors make it tough to figure out who the real killer is. I thought the two detectives were the best performers of the evening and were laugh out loud funny. They need to be given their own show, perhaps a parody of Hawaii Five-0! The top sleuth who not only figures out the murderer, but writes down the best explanation as to why the murderer killed his or her victims, will win a murder mystery entertainment prize package. I was told that the mysteries will change, so there will be opportunities for audiences to attend future shows with new mysteries to solve. The Dinner Detective is one of the best entertainment options in Waikiki and a fun way to spend an evening for tourists and locals.

The staff and actors were great The hostesses were quite attentive and friendly and kept popping to different tables to check up on everyone. The hotel banquet staff was not quite up to par, maybe because they felt that they should be more "in the background" with everything going on. The mystery was well done, some twists and turns and not as easy as you think it might be to solve the case. It was easy to figure out who was acting in the audience vs. who the audience participants were so you could narrow down the suspects quite quickly. Since both my husband and a friend was "suspect", it even made my choices slimmer. For those who like to mingle, it's a fun way of interacting and meeting people but if you are on the introverted side, this may not be for you. Quite a few customers were in the "acting community". The food was so-so for me although my group enjoyed it. Both the chicken and fish were prepared well and was covered with a sauce that was tasty. Salad and dessert were good. Beverage choices were limited but expected with limited bar service, soft drinks and coffee. This is a fun outing for a group. If you really get into solving the mystery and talk to everyone in the room, you probably would be able to get more into the case. Expect some characters..... and I don't mean Mickey. Some people can really get into this sort of thing!

Service was standard and we were seated within a few minutes. Considering it was lunchtime and it looked like a lot of locals were there, the food came out pretty quickly. The ambiance was clean and reminded me of a modern cafeteria. We had poke, short ribs with brown rice and mac salad, mochiko chicken with white rice and mac salad, and the Hawaiian loco moco. The poke was so good and so fresh. Hands down, some of the best local food around. Highly recommend this place as I will definitely be back!

Getting back to the food, we had the buttermilk pancakes with the haupia sauce and the egg and spam platter with a side order of fried rice. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised. The pancakes were bathed in the haupia sauce, in a good way. We've had other haupia pancakes with a drizzle of haupia, not enough sauce for entire serving. This had enough sauce for each and every bite. The pancake was perfectly cooked, soft and fluffy; enough to feed two. The spam and egg platter was a great compliment to the delicious pancakes. I really liked their fried rice. The rice was nice and moist and loaded with pieces of meat. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. Dining area is large enough to accommodate from an intimate to large parties. Free parking and conveniently located next to th rail station.
