Yesterday I stopped in to the Merle Hay Mall store, I was greeted promptly and sweetly by several…read moredifferent associates as I passed through the store on my mission! I heard a gal say there were only 6 left of champagne toast, to which I promptly asked for all of them as they are my favorite. We chatted and joked a little as I sniffed at other fragrances on the sale. When I went to the register, the gal who offered to help me was new and my issue was a bit more complex so she handed me off to the gal who I'd been speaking with, Tasha. Tasha explained the complexity of the price adjustments because the online items show you can return or adjust in store, and offered to call customer service to get it fixed. Even though we both knew that could take forever since the online stuff had gone down the day before and this big sale had them super busy. She was patient and kind, and conveyed what the phone gal was saying. I got frustrated, not with Tasha, but they were refusing to do my price adjustment even though I was within the policy. I was getting frustrated. And the store systems weren't pulling up the skews. The gal on the phone wanted to mail me a gift card later but that didn't help with the candles I was going to purchase now. Tasha was amazing, she knew I wasn't frustrated with her personally but she empathized with my frustrations and was super patient. It took her away from all the restocking she was doing too! She got off the phone and figured out a way to re-ring them up so it would fix the issue of the price correction without having to give me cash back so I could use my adjustment that day! She took excellent care of me with patience, kindness and empathy. When I had met her I didn't realize she was the store manager because she was in the grit of it getting those shelves restocked quickly, while still talking to all the customers, but she definitely characterizes what you'd want in a strong management leader, kindness, patience, empathy and creativity to get to a practical RESOLUTION! After my experiences with Tasha and her kind staff I will gladly support that store rather than online any day!

I was visiting town for a wedding and decided to try the local Torrid to see if they had the faux leather jacket I wanted that was sold out in stores in Michigan and online. They did!! The gal on the phone pulled two sizes for me to try on. I showed up an hour later and could have kissed her! It was perfect. It was mine! I picked up a couple other things too. I couldn't help it. This location is on the frontage road of the mall. Don't trust Google Maps - call their phone number to find it.

Another customer in the store was requiring quite a bit of assistance and they were very patient with her and what seemed like 1,000,000 questions. But I had such a bad experience trying to return some socks at the Ankeny store I was mad enough to leave a review. The check who waited on me,I wish I had thought to get her name, was rude and condescending to me right from the start. When she heard I was making a return she seemed to have it already decided not to accept it. We're talking $20 socks with a receipt and the original pkg. I left the store so disgusted I vowed to cut up my card and do my future shopping elsewhere. Now for the flip side of this. I decided one clerk would not have won this and decided to try a different location. I went to the Merle Hay Mall location and got the pleasant customer experience I'm used to getting at SC. I wish I had got her name also. She was pleasant and efficient and I was in and out in less time than at the Ankeny store and actually got something accomplished. He was the worst agent I have had at any store in over 5 years. I would not have purchased if my old phone wasn't damaged and I needed something quick. He seemed annoyed when I asked about accessories so I didn't purchase any. Big fat fail for this experience. Amazon gets my money for cases and other accessories.

I appreciate the Rewards savings and availability of over the counter generics. You can never go wrong picking any one of these four locations!
