So I always stop in when I'm downtown. At least the last three times I've stopped in this shop the simple employees are SO CATTY . The one where we live went out of business a number of years ago, but when it was in business it was always dark, dingy, and kind of a mess. This location seems to be really well maintained. I got there right at 11am and was greeted by a friendly lady in the returns department. The return was easy and the credit went back to the card. I did not have alot of time so i perused the store and saw some clothes that had been deeply discounted ( near the shoe area). They had a nice display of clothes and shoes. The perfume and makeup section looked really nice as well. They had great discounts on luggage and backpacks. To the left of the store there is a separate JC Pennys building that carries mens clothes and childrens apparel. In that building they also carry some appliances. The problem is those silly, tiny-little shoe horns they offer us to try on shoes with. Honestly, this company would do themselves, and their customers, a BIG favor by investing in some respectable, functioning, shoehorns...The ones they have are ridiculous and make trying on shoes an unnecessary struggle. Here's some advice: You'll sell more shoes if the experience is pleasant all around, and not a struggle.

I called the store and the manager who was condescending and rude as soon as he answered the phone, told me there was nothing he could do about it the problem was between me and FedEx. I would think since I ordered the shoes from Famous Footwear they would help me locate my order. When I asked to speak with the manager the person on the phone said he was the manager. When I told him he was being rude he yelled 'Jesus Christ". I was shocked to say the least. I still have not gotten my granddaughters Birkenstocks. I have sent several emails to Famous Footwear but nobody has bothered to call and offer any help locating my order or even to ask if I had received it. Definitely will never do any business here again.
