This is only the second review posted for this outfit. What does that tell yas?…read more My experience in this joint before was good. But then I was assisted by Ty who is the assistant manager. He is super knowledgeable about parts and how to get them if they are not in stock. The other day Ty was on break when I stopped in. There were four jingle brains behind the counter when I walks in. Not one of those cats says Hello, kiss my grits or anything else. Seemed like they were too busy smok'in and jok'in on the ol' ameche or something. There were not any other customers in the place. I can see why. No one asked to help me find the parts I was look'in for. No one ever said a word to me while I was in the place. I couldn't find what I wanted but I spoke with Ty out front who was on his break. I thought he was the manager, those palookas inside definitely need some management. I asked him if he was the manager he told me he was not the manager was inside. Anyway, I told him my experience he tried to help me from right there best he could while on his personal break time. That's what a manager does. The Boss, the Hefe, The Head Honcho gets things done and so do his slappos or they ain't there anymore. It's a tough economy, it's a buyer's market especially with so many jalopy parts to be had. I drove two minutes in my crate to a different joint, the fella there says, "What can I do you for" he shows me the parts I need, I lay out the greenbacks, I'm done. I'm also done shopping at O'Reilly Auto Parts. I mean as soon as I drop a dime on this store with corporate. Then I'm done.

Then 18 months later, when it fell into an inch of water I wasn't overly concerned. I did shut it down and put it in a bag of rice. When the phone failed and I called, they took no responsibility and essentially said we needed to stay with them because they have the best coverage. One of the managers promised to call my wife and never did. Finally, we worked things out with Verizon corporate and got a refurbished phone. When I took the phone out to get it activated, their staff put in the wrong SIM card and didn't even check to see if it worked. So there was another trip out to the store. Multiple phone calls, two trips to the store. Not even an apology for the lie, the store manager told us that nothing was her fault because she wasn't there when I bought the phone. We've been Verizon customers for 11 years, but there was no loyalty and not even an apology. Verizon corporate was great, but avoid these people. They have no problem with misrepresenting a phone so they can make the sale. UPDATE: The district manager called to apologize after I posted this review.

She even very patiently went through our family plan with me to make sure we have what is best for us. She even scheduled a time to get my new tablet set up, which she got me an amazing deal on. I hope she is at this store as long as my family uses phones!!

They dropped their other projects, drilled and tapped back broken parts to the case and machined a piece for the tensioner. He did give me a discount on the work, for the trouble, and was willing to pick up my malfunctioning "classic" for free, though, so that helps somewhat. The second time, I called and arranged for pickup on my bike for repairs. This time, I was told that they were about 4-6 weeks out for any new work, but if I was interested and willing to wait, they'd still pick up and do the work. So I said yes, and waited. Two weeks later (This week[6/5/2015], actually), I was told that they could take my bike in immediately. I made arrangements to have it picked up the next morning, and waited and waited, and was late to work, and they never picked up my bike. I called and left a polite message that I had waited, and hoped nothing was wrong, and please call to arrange another pick up time, and have heard nothing back. I'm done with Xtreme heights after this...it's just ridiculous and frustrating, not to mention unprofessional.

I buys a few gats, that's no secret. A few weeks back I buys a Ruger rifle here. Takes a week or…read moreso to get it cause it's a special order. Mama always said I was special. The rifle shows up, I pays for it and goes to see if it will go bang. It does a time or two then it pukes out it's own extractor. I brings it back to ACE and asks to get my money back. She says they don't do that and it says that right on my receipt. I can come in next week and talk to the manager if I want to or they'll mail the rifle to the idiots who built it at Ruger for me next week. (that means I have to pay for another background check if it ever comes back). This isn't something I picked up at a yard sale, it's a brand new Ruger rifle. I takes the POS to a local riflesmith, I bought it to shoot it after all, not have it in transit for days and days. He fixes it in one day for me, back I goes to the range where this Ruger junk pukes it's extractor again. My riflesmith says send it back to the factory it's got some serious problems. I decides that this Ruger like the previous Ruger I bought brand new is more useful as yard art than shooting ammo and determines I can cut it into pieces and weld it to a frame and hammer it in my front yard. The folks at The Oregon Trail Trader where I usually shop convince me they will send it back to Ruger, have it repaired etc. I does that. It came back today. I traded it to them, lost a bundle on magazines, ammo, scope, parts and accessories I had purchased for it. Here's the bottom line, If I had purchased it from The Trader they would have given my money back when I came back with it, or given me another rifle. No hassles about either. They absolutely would have resolved this defective gun immediately to my satisfaction. I've had that happen in the past here. Even Wal Mart will give your money back on junk you buy there if you take it back. Here's the real bottom line. If you're shopping for firearms go to The Oregon Trail Trader where Customer Service is the order of the day everyday. And if you're thinking about anything built by Ruger, just say NO!
