It has been well kept. I plan to start bowling again as soon as my neck and shoulder heal. They have a good snackbsr. Swollen's bar serves alcohol in the bowling alley. Recently, they started serving wine. You can bowl in the dark on weekends. It's really fun! They might have a dark league. Not for sure on that. Youth bowling could net you've scholarship to college. My husband, son, and I stopped in during a stay in town over spring break. We showed up at noon, when they open, on Thursday. The ambiance is definitely a blast to the past; the carpet, music, food counter were all 80s-90s era. The staff were friendly and welcoming, more than willing to help us out and answer questions. The woman working the food counter was efficient and brisk but kind. We paid for an hour of play and made it through 2 games before spending some time in the arcade section. Don't go for the arcade, as much of it is the claw games, but it was a fun little addition to our stop. The space was busy enough to have energy but not so much as to be crowded or uncomfortable. We very much enjoyed our time.

I also like that the temperature was comfortable and the air was not filled with smoke! The house shoes were very comfortable, fit in my size, and they had a great selection of bowling balls in various sizes. I like having a big thumb hole and had no trouble finding a ball that worked great. We had a couple people in the group who weren't interested in playing a second game. They had no trouble keeping entertained in the arcade area. For those with a curve, I don't know how often they oil the lanes, but I loved whatever pattern they had laid down. I have a big hook and had no trouble hitting consistently over a couple games...even while making adjustments. (No dry swings into the gutter!) We only had one, small incident with the pinsetting machines and it was resolved very quickly. The staff was very friendly and quick to help or answer any questions. Our group had a great time and I'm very interested in looking into some of the leagues starting up there soon.

We paid for one hour of VIB Luxury Bowling and brought our own bowling balls. About 50 minutes into our session, the lane stopped returning our balls. We notified staff, and they moved us to another lane and said they would add extra time. Since we had ordered another round of beers, we decided to pay for an additional hour. Unfortunately, less than five minutes into the new lane, it also stopped returning our bowling balls. My friend reported the issue to the front desk and was told someone would come fix it. After waiting about 10 minutes with no assistance, I went to the front desk myself and asked if we could simply receive a refund. The manager, Mr. McKee, came over and immediately asked whether we had reported the issue. I told him yes. As we walked back toward the lane, he accused me of being aggressive toward his employee. I explained that I was frustrated by the situation, but at no point was I disrespectful or rude. I also pointed out that he wasn't present during my conversation with the employee, so I wasn't sure how he could accurately characterize it. He refused to provide a refund and instead offered additional bowling time. At that point, after experiencing equipment issues on two separate lanes and being accused of inappropriate behavior, I had no interest in continuing to bowl. We closed out our bar tab and left. The biggest disappointment wasn't the lane malfunctions--it was the customer service. Equipment issues happen, but how management handles those situations matters. If you're looking to bowl, I'd recommend AMF on 23rd or Bowlero in Edmond. I've consistently received much better customer service there. Also, don't just take my word for it--read some of the other reviews. You'll find similar complaints regarding lane issues and difficulties obtaining refunds. #BringBackHeritageLanes
