This is my second cut after she fixed a horrible cut from another salon & stylist. She listens to what you want, explains to you how she is going to do it, checks in throughout the cut (explaining, asking questions, giving advice) to make sure you are comfortable with the potential outcome. Best barber I ever had. Shelly couldn't be more than enough when it comes to men's grooming. I never received as many compliments from my cuts with Shelly as with other barbershops I've been to. The fade is so good and precise that even after a week I still look fresh. Last visit was the best experience I had so far. This time I started off with a scalp exfoliating message , which I highly recommend! So freshening and your head feels so rejuvenated (highly recommend!), as I waited to for the exfoliation to settle. Shelly wrapped my face in hot towels which felt great. Than I got a men's grooming/ beard special. And let me tell you I felt like a new person after. The products are top tier , and if you have any men's grooming questions Shelly seems to know it all. As to the ambience, such a cool vibe. Other barber shops either over charge for a half ass cut or the location is far. But here at 555 atelier i didn't feel like another person at a barbershop that was gonna get a half ass cut. Another reason I'd recommend booking appointments with shelly not only because she's the best. But I ask a lot of questions lol and shelly helps me better understand the style I am be wanting or maybe perhaps adventure out to some other possible style. And this might seem weird or normal for some, but other barbershops I'd go to, they hardly spoke to me. Not that I'm looking to buddy it up and like be besties. But honestly the fact that Shelly is engaging and talks to you and like remember from past conversations and is genuine about the person she's cutting. Which I'm sure she has a lot of clients.
