OK, boys and girls, listen up. Maverick has the cheapest gas in the area and if you are travelling East from Dayton to say Silver Springs or Fallon, or even heading South to Ft. Churchill or Yerington (our fair city) this is the place to stop and get gas. Gas is gas and if price was not in the equation I would still come here for a number of reasons: - The pump area is clean and there is a lot of space between pumps. - The squeegies are not all worn out and the wash water is clean and soapy - The papertowel dispensers are kept filled - The inside of the store is also clean and well laid out - There is a good selection of food items both healthy and road trip junk food - the salads are actually really good and they are generous with the dressings and toppings. - Staff are friendly - If you get a free loyalty card gas is 2 cents/gallon cheaper. What's not to love? Probably making the left hand turn across US50 to get in and out if you are travelling East. Not too bad, but prayer does help. read more

I know I'm a coffee addict and I'm addicted to the coffee at the Maverik! I work very close to this one in Dayton, and the employees here are always so good to me. I prefer their house blend iced or hot. I wish I had one of these machines at home; Starbucks and all other coffee bars would lose me as a customer. Yes! It's that good! Maveriks in town are a must before the drive ins with the family. I would not have survived my pregnancy cravings with my last kid without their nachos and ice cream. The clerk was chatting it up with two other employees while I waited for her to acknowledge me and take my money. She finally rang me up, as she continued her conversation with her coworkers. As the country is trying to recover from record high inflation, a pandemic and a party in the White House that has no idea what they are doing and can't figure out what bathroom to use, we have a company that is gouging and prices to a record high. Gas prices are $0.20 - $0.30 more per gallon, milk is over $2.00 ($5.39) more and even their candy needs a loan on your home to buy. Walked into this maverick, four employees doing nothing, and everything I seen was price far more than even a loves gas station. I used to really love Maverik, however, as this store has aged, the service has done downhill. Store is pretty dirty, a lot of the equipment is out of order, and the staff don't seem to care too much. Signs like the one I posted show you the attitude of the staff. read more

Food was great and I realize they don't open until 11:30. Got there a little early with a 92 year old and a 90 year old both using walkers and was just going to sit at the tables they had outside and wait. Lady came out said we couldn't because they didn't open till 11:30 so they had to maneuver back over rocks to the car for 5 minutes until they opened. Very disrespectful. read more

Every Maverick I have been to is filthy. The pumps, the ground, the garbage containers, all filthy. They look like they are never washed. They are gross. The pumps half the time don't even work. I don't understand why this is the case, no matter which location you go to. They're all the same. They must be run by the same people. I only go here when I have no other choice. Nifty trick though. When you start pumping gas, and their little video starts screaming the advertisement video at you, you can push any of the eight buttons alongside the screen and it will shut up. Planning to do some serious adventuring this morning in the trusty Mazda 3, myself and the car really need a little something extra to make sure we got through the rough roads ahead. When I passed by this adventure themed Maverik station, the car seemed to get a little excited, and after checking out the really clean bathrooms, huge convenience store, and filling up there, myself and the car felt like we could drive straight up Mt. Everest in 2 wheel drive without heat or refueling once! Ok, not really, but we knew we could handle whatever life had in store today. We were ready! DISCLAIMER: What you just read is a complete farce... I simply needed gas, pulled in and filled up. The station and bathrooms were clean, and the convenience store was indeed huge, but the adventure theme and branding did nothing to enhance the performance of myself or my vehicle. read more

I go to this gas station everyday its so close to home. Usually I never complain about places because i've worked jobs where customers are a pain and can totally relate..but never have i been treated so poorly by a cashier anywhere. The cashier there named Erin is so rude i always say hello and thank you and every time she ignores me today was the last straw when I told her thank you have a good day and she yet again said nothing and slammed my change in my hand. I find myself letting people in line go before me just to avoid having her cash me out. I don't know if its just me or if she hates her job but it is EXTREMELY uncomfortable i'd rather take my business elsewhere. read more

Every time I have gone here everyone has been extremely friendly. Great place to stop for necessities before work or a road trip.

This gas station took debit cards at their gas pumps on a regular basis, and all of a sudden refused them. When I questioned this, I was told they no longer accepted Debit Cards at the pumps, and to use them you must go inside the convenience store, and stand in line with all the people buying junk food to place your gas order. This is in an area where the summers get over 100 degrees, and the winters have snow. To no longer take Debit Cards at the pumps means I will no longer buy my gas here, and I live just a few blocks away. I will drive farther to buy my gas elsewhere. This is a stupid decision on their part, but it's what they did. read more

Regardless of what someone said about debit cards...this place is great! For it being a gas station they have quality "junk food" lol...and they have a small selection of every other necessity. I gotta say they've always taken care of me as I pass them day and night to and from work 5 days or more a week. The staff is always pretty friendly...they work at a gas station for crying out loud so understand...If they're looking frustrated and annoyed it's because they're working at a gas station. We can be a tumultuous crowd here in Nevada. But just the same stop in there and get the Jalapeño Bahama Mama wrap. It's a giant delicious hot dog wrapped in baked dough. They have a clean fully functional kitchen where they make these and other things fresh daily. My wife and I will choose dinner from the maverik or lunch rather than going down to the only two fast food joints in dayton. The gas is usually cheap enough in comparison as well. Ignore bad reviews...this is the spot. They have fresh milkshakes too. The machine blends it for you right before your eyes. I had the peanut butter cup shake tonight. Delicious! read more
