    Large coffee
    Tommy J.

Coffee, caffeine, and More coffee/caffeine... A fun thing for me in the morning is to drive around and checking out some of the cafés and try their coffee. This started when I went to a place downtown called two chicks and I just really really enjoyed a cuppa coffee. When asking what type of coffee they use, they said they roast their own coffee... A little sad because I would love to drink this at home, but nothing to take home. So I was at Mavericks filling up, and I decided why not try the coffee here. The price is fairly decent $1.79 for large $1.99 for extra large. When I walked in, I was greeted by an elderly gentleman that asked if you could help me. I told him I was just there for some coffee but I've never had it before. He began to explain the different types of coffees and all of the things that I could add to it. I was really impressed. But friendly or not, I still have to try my coffee right? There were about six or seven different choices of fresh brewed coffee. Dark Brazilian roast, light some Motrin, high caffeine, House blend, Colombian, decaffeinated. I decided to go with about 2/3's cup of the house blend, and added 1/3'rd of the dark Brazilian roast. I do cream and sugar, and the elderly gentleman that works there came up to me and handed me a couple of little containers of 'Stōk' espresso caffeine. The warning label on it said 'warning do not take more than two a day' LOL. So I asked him how much the extra shots were, he said they're included with the coffee bar. Bonus! As for the cream and sugar, there is a large selection of international delight creams with flavor, and cold stone creamery cream.. I went with cold stone cream. I also noticed there were about six or eight flavored syrups that could be pumped into the coffee. Caramel, vanilla and I didn't catch the name of the other ones. But yeah, lots of options for your daily cuppa Joe. After you get your coffee fix. They have a hot food bar, a hot dog bar, a cold deli section, and a pastry/donut section. Not to mention all the normal convenient store items like chips and nuts, beer etc. I really do love this place.

They have a fully painted parking lot, which is something I've never seen, bars preventing large vehicles from entering, and the architecture of the building itself is out there. It also looks from the outside that it's the largest Walgreens in history. However, when you walk in, it's exactly what you expect from a typical Walgreens, which isn't a bad thing.

I have only been almost squished about 3 times in the last 10 years. Not bad for Reno. CONVENIENCE: They are no longer open 24 Hours. The Pharmacy window is only open 9:00am to 8pm with a half hour closure for lunch. The rest of the store still cares a huge collection of stuff. Items that apparently are "shoplifting magnets" ie most beauty products are now in locked shelves. ATMOSPHERE There seem to be fewer "dodgy" patrons than in the past. Shelves are better displayed and don't seem as cramed. It is clean and well lit. SERVICE: Still pretty slow, and staff has been drastically reduced. I have had no problems with either the pharmacy or the front checkout, it just takes a while. On the plus side, staff are friendly and professional. My insurance no longer covers prescriptions from Walgreens. I just learned that Walgreens is not affiliated with the large third-party Pharmacy Benefit Manager. So the convenience and location have been major factors in me continuing to shop here.

I didn't yell any racial slurs at him (although he deserved it) So hear it is and it's such a cliche typically people from the middle East are rude in nature. It's not an opinion IT IS A FACT!! This guy was aggressive and rude! Mostly people like him are just rude and I can tolerate that from other 7-11 operators this guy was way worse. This is one of those half-safe locations that can easily lull you into a state of complacency, but some of the types I see shopping here give me pause. It's located behind a bank building, so I'm careful about where I park, and I tend to look at who is inside the store after dark before I get out of my car. But honestly, what I dislike most are the persistently indifferent cashiers that I believe belong to the Eastern family that owns this place. On more than one occasion I've asked about the location of the lack of specific items I wanted to purchase, only to be answered with a shrug. No long lines, a generally clean store and okay parking, along with a location contrived to be on my route, keeps me coming back here every couple of months despite my complaints. It's as good as many 7/11s, and generally kept well-stocked, but it is a far cry from as good as my favorite 7/11 on Mount Rose -- which I consider to be the premier 7/11 in town (see my review of that one at http://www.yelp.com/biz/7--eleven-reno#hrid:pYLdjI8y3rVrYS8Yzf89pw/src:self) Note: I've knocked off one star for the sketchy location which I think is fair when reviewing a 7/11, and 2 stars for the lack of customer service.
