Meat lovers pizza, free!

I'm not sure if it was just today, but we came in right at 10 o'clock to get some breakfast tacos from their bonfire grill. The lady said it was too late so we ordered some Carnitas tacos. The lady also told us that she didn't have any pork. So we finally end up getting some Kearny Asada tacos. When we got them out to the car open them up, they were just a pitiful amount of beef in the taco. Over the years we've had these tacos so many times, and this is the first time we felt we were shorted. After they changed the type of coffee they have here from fresh brewed to a pushbutton machine that grinds the beans while you wait, we come here less and less. I will try the tacos one more time and if it's a small amount of meat, then we probably won't be stopping here anymore as the gas prices are usually more than other places, the coffee is not good anymore, and they short you on the meat.

Gas prices are high, but it's conveniently located. Store is great - has all the treats that my grandkids and I love! And .. they have the milkshake machine!! Entire set up is - the gas pumps, the store and restrooms. No complaints.

Yas, I gave a gas station five stars!! Why you ask?! Unfortunately and fortunately 100% of my travel is via car. At this point in my life a gurl really appreciates a clean bathroom!!! Their wash station is something from sci-fi movie. Touchless hand soap, water and hand dryer. For a germaphobe like myself this is a dream come true. Onto the selection for drank and food. They don't skip on a huge selection on cold and hot drinks. I've a fan of the Chi Tea which I add a black tea bag to the mix. Yes, it's a gas station and the food offering are not on the healthy side. But who doesn't like a Bonfire roll with restaurant style green salsa once and a while!?!? This location had seating inside and outside. Seriously you must check out this new gas station. Silly I know but once you see it you will understand!!

This overcooked briquette isn't sausage, it's burned egg white! Literally, it's like it was deep fried...yuk

This is one of Reno's newest Maveriks, and probably one of the nicest ones in the area. So, let me preface this my saying, I ADORE Maverik's yummy food, convenience, and great gas prices too. Most of the employees at this location are awesome, too! They're fun and friendly, albeit a bit feisty, too! The trouble I have at this particular location is it seems like its always A MESS! Several times I've stopped by for coffee since my kids' school is in the area, and the coffee bar is DISGUSTING! It could be that it's proximity to the high school is to blame, but then the employees should be aware of their wake of destruction and clean up after the morning & lunch rushes. One of the last times I was in, I overheard an employee gossiping to another 2 employees about what the past shift's employees didn't clean...also a no-no in the presence of customers, IMHO. The food is sometimes hit or miss, check out my burned breakfast bowl pics. Regardless of who did or didn't clean, the place needs some attention. It would be a shame to let messy teenagers scare off other customers. It's a nice store, just clean it up.

This is a brand new station, gas is currently $.20 gallon cheaper then rest of area

This location in particular, is pretty convenient when traveling between the northern and southern parts of Reno.

They have a fully painted parking lot, which is something I've never seen, bars preventing large vehicles from entering, and the architecture of the building itself is out there. It also looks from the outside that it's the largest Walgreens in history. However, when you walk in, it's exactly what you expect from a typical Walgreens, which isn't a bad thing.

I have only been almost squished about 3 times in the last 10 years. Not bad for Reno. CONVENIENCE: They are no longer open 24 Hours. The Pharmacy window is only open 9:00am to 8pm with a half hour closure for lunch. The rest of the store still cares a huge collection of stuff. Items that apparently are "shoplifting magnets" ie most beauty products are now in locked shelves. ATMOSPHERE There seem to be fewer "dodgy" patrons than in the past. Shelves are better displayed and don't seem as cramed. It is clean and well lit. SERVICE: Still pretty slow, and staff has been drastically reduced. I have had no problems with either the pharmacy or the front checkout, it just takes a while. On the plus side, staff are friendly and professional. My insurance no longer covers prescriptions from Walgreens. I just learned that Walgreens is not affiliated with the large third-party Pharmacy Benefit Manager. So the convenience and location have been major factors in me continuing to shop here.

The people that work here are still amazingly friendly despite the riff raff and drama they have to watch. The prices are about 10% higher than most stores like it but they are open 24/7 and sustain a lot more theft. So, as a matter of convenience and selection, I like this place. I like it even more when there is not police vs. street people drama unfolding in the area. (not Fireside's fault)

Beer and liquor are the main things here. They have groceries like cereal, produce, and snacks too. It doesn't seem like much is interesting about it. They have high quality and the cheap stuff. Get a flask sized bottle to save on those expensive casino cocktails. These are convenient for discretely pouring into pop. Also get your junk food binge on. They have some good prices on crap like candy and snacks. Also it's not just a store but there's an inn. I agreed to pay the difference and was going back to the register and he was mumbling something to me and I called him out on it there was a verbal exchange that was escalating, fortunately it could've been worse. I didn't yell any racial slurs at him (although he deserved it) So hear it is and it's such a cliche typically people from the middle East are rude in nature. It's not an opinion IT IS A FACT!! This guy was aggressive and rude! Mostly people like him are just rude and I can tolerate that from other 7-11 operators this guy was way worse. I'm boycotting all 7-11's with these type of people running them. I paid what I asked for a frozen drink and was called a liar. I wasn't aggressive until this a**hole wanted to make it a problem. If you have to lock up the cups genius maybe you need to operate a store elsewhere, WAY ELSEWHERE.

This is one of those half-safe locations that can easily lull you into a state of complacency, but some of the types I see shopping here give me pause. It's located behind a bank building, so I'm careful about where I park, and I tend to look at who is inside the store after dark before I get out of my car. But honestly, what I dislike most are the persistently indifferent cashiers that I believe belong to the Eastern family that owns this place. On more than one occasion I've asked about the location of the lack of specific items I wanted to purchase, only to be answered with a shrug. No long lines, a generally clean store and okay parking, along with a location contrived to be on my route, keeps me coming back here every couple of months despite my complaints. It's as good as many 7/11s, and generally kept well-stocked, but it is a far cry from as good as my favorite 7/11 on Mount Rose -- which I consider to be the premier 7/11 in town (see my review of that one at http://www.yelp.com/biz/7--eleven-reno#hrid:pYLdjI8y3rVrYS8Yzf89pw/src:self) Note: I've knocked off one star for the sketchy location which I think is fair when reviewing a 7/11, and 2 stars for the lack of customer service. PS. How in the world did I manage to review this store before my friend Lakewood G? You're sloughing LG. Get to work. :-)
