Dan, the STS's Manager on site, showed incredible customer service today during my visit. He turned a terrible day a lot warmer and brighter. As I commuted from upstate NY to central NJ for work, my day started at 6am. After 75% into my drive, my rear left tire blew out. I reluctantly drove 4 miles to the nearest STS tire shop, to have my tire replaced (there were other options, but given STS's breadth of inventory, I figured they would have my tires in stock). Dan and his team was helpful to educate me on my repair options and helped me get in and out of the shop as quickly as possible. After about an hour, I had two new tires installed. When I thought the dreadful day was over, I accidently locked myself out of my car. Dan first used creative ways to get me back into my car. When that failed, he offered to drive me back home (~ an hour away) to retrieve my spare key. Honestly, I have never met such a kind, generous and compassionate person at an auto shop, or at any other service center for that matter. Given that I was out of options, I took Dan on his offer. And when I tried to remunerate him, he politely declined. Needless to say, I am extremely GRATEFUL. I cannot thank him and his colleagues enough at STS. Again, Thank you! read more

Heading to our son's football game in Pennsylvania on 78 and my low tire pressure gauge came on. Didn't want to risk continuing on so luckily found this location. They were able to fit us in and get us out within an hour. Removed the nail, plugged the hole and at a very reasonable price. We still made it to the game on time thanks to them! read more

Made the mistake of bringing my fleet car here. Left it for a whole day for new tires and oil change. Called them because I needed the car, said they are waiting for authorization for the tires. Called the fleet company, turns out they only asked for authorization after having my car a full day, and it was approved also immediately. Then when I came to get the car back, Travis tried lying to me and saying I have to bring it back to them , called the fleet company they said otherwise and canceled the authorization. I made an appointment on Friday to come in Saturday morning for tires and a wheel alignment online ... I even called and spoke to a supervisor or manger the same Friday she told me she didn't have the tires in stock but she would be able to help me get in a new pair of tires for the same price ... I obviously was excited and got there 10 min early ... After going to get the front end aligned on our car we realized that it wasn't done correctly. An appointment was made for Sunday morning at 10 AM to fix it. We showed up at 945 and "Andrew "informed us that he would not be able to help us even though we had an appointment. He said that there were five reservations in front of us and he couldn't help us. A bunch of so called mechanics who don't know what surface rust is on a 2006 truck. I know a lot about vehicles and looked at the frame myself. Pushed on the frame and my hand didn't go through it. A lift can lift the truck up to do a simple tire job. These guys need more training. With out knowledge they had the nerve to tell me that I shouldn't be driving it. Called and made a reservation for 5 pm through their call center. Made a deposit so they could "order" the tires. I get there a little early. Told my tires are not there. And it was two late for them to put 2 tires on anyway. There was a lot of double talk and trying to confuse me because they did not want to work. It was obvious the guy had no clue how to do his job. Sometimes it take a customer to speak up, in a respectful manner, to make the business aware and for them to improve. And that is exactly what happened. I called this morning and Scott' politely answered the phone. I told him that I needed to have a slow leak repaired in my tire. He told me to come on in that it wasn't that busy and he could get right to me. I showed up about 45 minutes later and they took my keys and started working right on my car. 15 minutes later I had my keys back in my hand and a repaired flat tire. The staff is always kind and accommodating at this location. They're very helpful and honest! I had a bubble in my front right tire a few months ago when my tire pressure light came on and I came here to have it checked out. I was due for all four to be changed at that time anyway, so the staff helped me choose what tires were best for my vehicle. I opted in on their road hazard warranty program for the tires which is inexpensive and really is beneficial to the consumer. They'll also rotate your tires for free whenever you're due, and there are always coupons available on their website for almost every service. Always a pleasant experience! read more

Just beware guys, there were good reviews which is why I chose to go there for an emergency tires change. They charged me more than quoted for the tires, actually screwed up my alignment where the wheel was sideways when I left and the car shaking because the tires were not balanced (I had them charge 4 tires that took them 3 hours to do). When I called them right away, Danny said to come back when in the area (I told them I live 4 hours away) and he'd be willing to take a look again and it's too late now because they are closing soon. Ridiculous. I had to drive with the car shaking for an hour to where I was staying over and go the next morning to Jack Williams to get the tires balance and realigned. I was dropping off the rims and he's got attitude, 'we're closing in 5 minutes.' Otherwise they'd get 5 stars. I had a slow leaking tire. I was told it would be about an hour so I left and came back an hour and a half later. My car wasn't checked yet. While I waited another hour and a half, the mechanics would look through the orders and pick the one they wanted. I told them that I wanted my keys back so I could go home. Somehow my car was finally next. They checked every tire and my spare in the trunk and told me they couldn't find a leak. They said they put the tire in the dunk tank but my car was in the first stall and I watched. The tire was not taken off the car. read more

Horrible! Absolutely horrible! I walked in the one day to change my tires on my vehicle and while waiting in line I overheard the lady offering discounts for an elderly man on his set of tires and alignment because he could not afford it at the moment. Well when I stepped up to get my quote she did not offer me anything and I had to fight over it. On top of that they gave me horrible tires that were very noisy after they were put on. I had to come back twice to get the problem taken care of! Major attitude from the assistant manager and shop manager! They were treating me horribly as if it was my fault! You could tell they were so upset every time they saw me and they weren't even test driving the car! I took it to another Mavis and contacted Regional director and they did absolutely nothing! 8 trips later betweens 2 Mavis location and come to find out they swindled me into thinking the problem was my breaks and rotors and of course the squeaking noise never went away and I forked out hundreds of dollars and so did they just to "fix" the issue and now my car is completely messed up and makes noises and they apparently cannot find the issue. They started blaming me as if I was making stuff up and ended up telling me the car was fine! Absolutely not! My car never made noises until I went to them! 7 different noises! They would fix one problem and another would arise all different sounds! NEVER AGAIN! And they want $$$$$$$$ read more

My sister needed new tires and after going to Walmart and them only having the poorest quality tires, she was frustrated and was going to give up for the day. That's when I turned to my trusted Yelp and found this place. As we drove over the bridge and saw the "Welcome to New Jersey" sign, we cracked up that we somehow wound up in NJ for tires when we were from PA! I had called before we drove over to get a quote. The gentleman on the phone was very nice and I told him we would be there in a few. When we arrived, we were greeted right away and they were able to pull up the quote we got on the phone. We dealt with Josh and Bill. Both were very nice, even apologizing when they took a phone call for a moment. This was a big deal for us because we had recently been to another auto shop where the man at the front desk spoke on the phone for a good 10 minutes and completely ignored us standing right in front of him waiting to speak to him. Bill may have not even thought anything of this, but to us, that simple "sorry bout that" really made us feel appreciated and welcome. We were given a realistic wait of 2ish hours for the work to be complete since they were quite busy. (We were changing all 4 tires.) We decided to walk back over the bridge to Easton, PA where we passed many restaurants/stores/bars. Bill told us the best walking route and even offered to pick us back up possibly if they had someone available. Again, the honesty but effort was much appreciated. We wound up walking back and not even calling to be picked up because we enjoyed the walk. About two minutes before we walked into the shop, they were calling us that they were all done. I had an appointment on Friday afternoon for a front end alignment. I waited over an hour past my appointment time then talked to the guy at the desk. I said to him that he put that vehicle up on the rack just minutes before my appointment time knowing that it would make me, who had an appointment, very late. He couldn't deny it. Ordered four new tires from Mavis on Monday. Told to come to the shop on Wednesday at 8:00 am. I arrived at 7:55... the manger didn't arrive till 8:05. No apology for making us wait - it was 3o degrees outside - and then told me that there was a "Shuttle message " on the computer. Seems that my tires were not delivered yet. I had a brake problem on a Sunday and took my truck in at 2pm and was fixed-and-out-the-door driving again by 3:45p! They did a great service today for us. Well the man at the front desk amd Im so sorry I didn't get his name. We got off the highway in Easton, PA for an event last night and found my tire was flat. We were staying over and didn't want to drive back to NYC on a spare. I called them this morning and the man at the counter said to come and he'd put a service call in for me. When I walked in he said I'd have an hour wait and to leave my tire with him. Having 2 young kids and trying to figure out what to do for an hour in a place we don't know wasn't thrilling me. As my husband was getting everything out of the trunk to get the tire, the man came out to help him. He got the tire, said it was the valve, he'd fix it in 10 mins for us for free but my husband would have to put the tire on. Worked for us! This STS is very convenient to where I live. My work truck is my life. Today I came here for a flat tire. However, I need tires and my windshield washer pump needs fixing. "Dan" tells me "yeah that thing is too difficult for me to get to". REALLY?! So you just want the simple work that you don't have to work very hard for? And his attitude was offensive as well. At the time I brought it in, I inquired about ltires, a fuel filter, additional torquing of wheel spacers. I have literally thousands of dollars of work that needs to be done to this truck. And since it is a fleet vehicle I am basically unrestricted as to where I can take it. I got literally no response on any of my other inquiries and pushed out the door. I will NEVER come her again.
