Completely lazy employees. I had a tire blow out on 95 and was told by the people on the phone that they could change my tire and had availability. But when I get there they say they were too busy however there was only one car being worked on and 2 people standing at the front desk for an hour. Generally I've had good service so might be just a one off or an employee having a really bad day. I made an appointment for a tire rotation for 9 am. My mother was on her way home when she felt something wrong with her tires when driving she wanted to stop at the closest place to her since she didn't feel comfortable driving. The lady at the front desk said can't help you this is the last car we will be working on. Mind you they close at 5:00 PM and it's currently 3:00 PM. She even asked if someoke could help put her spare and said no. Kindness goes a long way and the receptionist lacked it. Then proceeded to go outside and smoke. I have been a customer of Tire Kingdom for many years. We went to South Carolina for a short vacation and on the way back we noticed there was a slow leak in the tire. So I called the number in Mavis Tire in Brunswick Georgia which was the closest store to us. I was told there would be a ticket for me when I arrived there. I got a call back about 1/2 hour later saying they would not look at my tire. I told the woman on the phone Kaylee that it was an emergency and explained that we were driving from South Carolina to Florida and she refused to have someone even look at the tire. I asked if there was a manager and she said she was the manager . When I asked for the G M she laughed at me and said they don't come in on Sunday( very poor customer service and unprofessional). I never got my tire checked and we are driving home on a tire with a slow leak. I am very disappointed!! read more

I took my car in to Discount Tire (where they were originally purchased) in Savannah for a leak in one tire. Turned out there was a crack in the rim. I ordered a new rim. When it arrived, I decided to take it to a local shop instead of driving to Savannah. I called Mavis. The guy I spoke with said there were a few people ahead of me, but they'd get it in within the hour. I dropped the car off at 11am and told them the new wheel was in the trunk. At about 1pm I recontacted and was told it would be done by 3pm. I came in at 2:30 and was told I was 3rd in line. We ended up leaving and headed home. Just before 5pm, I got a call from the shop. The guy stated that the rim was cracked and changing the tire wouldn't fix the leak. I explained that the tire was brand new and the car was in there to get the wheel changed. I then explained the wheel was in the trunk. They finally got to it and finished it at 10am the next day. I figured it would've been faster than driving to the Discount Tire in Savannah...I was wrong. I was hoping the service was good and had planned to get tires for my other vehicle since it's local, but I won't be back. read more

I have tried this location on two separate occasions for two different service requests. I have been dissatisfied with the wait times as well as the overall customer service. The team is friendly, but it feels like a lack of empathy for the customer's situation when they make an error. For example, no apologies or any concessions when they misquote timing or have broken an item on my vehicle. A cup of coffee provided or offered would even be an improvement! The incident where they broke a part on my windshield wiper took over a month to resolve with my family having to call to even see if they had orders apart, and remind them several times. The visit where they broke the part, I had taken my car there for an oil change and it was shaking when it was returned. It turned out that they never actually replaced the filter as requested, so thank goodness I went back to my original place and discovered the culprit. Today's situation was real bummer too. I would have happily dropped my car off, but was quoted a really reasonable time to wait near my lunch. It took twice the amount of time, all throughout I continued to get the good 'ol, "only 20 more minutes" which turned into three hours. Now that I've been fooled twice, I will need to take our autos elsewhere. read more

I ordered 2 tires for my car on a Friday and was supposed to come in on the following Monday for installation. I live an hour away from the shop and my car was stranded there, so I drove an hour fro them to tell me that one of the tire orders had been "cancelled". I was then told to come in the day after that and to be there at 4pm and my car would be finished. After another hour of driving back to get there by 4, they tell me that they just checked the tires in and that it takes them 4 hours to install 2 tires... worst customer service I've ever experienced, don't go here if you want something done in a reasonable time or price. read more

I drove up from Tampa to attend a good friend's celebration of life. While in town, I hit a storm culvert to avoid another driver pulling out. Destroyed a tire, my radiator and ripped off the oil filter housing. I had the car towed to Mavis as they were one of the few opened on Sunday. I explained my situation to Frank, my mechanic. Frank did everything in his power to obtain the parts and have them brought in the following day and got to work. Frank and the shop manager promised me that I would be on the road Monday evening. 6:00 pm closing time comes around and Frank doesn't skip a beat. He keeps right on working on my car. at 6:30 pm the car is finished. frank took the car out for a shakedown run and the car ran flawlessly. The shop cost ended up being higher than they quoted but they stuck to the original quote. I was able to drive the car back to Tampa that evening and had no issues whatsoever. It's really difficult for me to have to put blind trust into an auto shop. I have been ripped off so many times in the past by others. It's refreshing to see people who run a a shop have such honesty and integrity. Especially when I am in a bind. We have always used this location for all of our tire, brakes and oil change needs. Jennifer and Jason were fantastic! Always great customer service and so knowledgeable. However Jennifer recently left and it appears Jason is not there anymore either. The new manager Oscar leaves a lot to be desired! Rude, has zero tire or customer service knowledge. Kept asking the same question over and over. Pulled up our information and then asked so you bought the tires here? What? You are looking at the information on your screen!! The confidence I always had in this business is totally gone. It's a shame because they had an amazing team, who knew their business! After years of fantastic service on all of our cars, I will drive to Jacksonville or Savannah if I need tires from here on out. Updating.. They are fast talkers and nothing to back it up. Apparently the number that we call is a call center. The guy on the phone talked all fast and ended got me an appointment for 12pm. I've been here since 11:45am and it's now 3:35!im still waiting for my car. The lady here at the customer service desk told me it was a 2hour wait in a rude manner. She stated that the call centers just sit on their ass and schedule stuff and don't have a clue what's going on down here. I could tell she was aggravated. So after trying to sell me other stuff I said no and eventually I said I would wait. I have now lost time at work and money because of them. The only thing they could say is sorry we saved you $30 bucks. It's 3:40pm and still waiting losing money from work!!!!!! I am not happy with the service here.... I was having trouble with my tire so I called Mavis and I was told they could help me so I go there and I get the worst customer service ever. I try to put the air in my tire on my own and the whole little piece for the air to go in the tire pops and breaks off . The young man that was standing up front he seen what happened the manager she comes out and she looks at my tire in the meantime I have stuff in my car for my 18-year-old grandson's birthday it would have literally took them 2 minutes to help me and they refused to help me so they watch me stand or sit in front of their store for over an hour waiting on a tow truck with food in my car and everything . I seen two mechanics in the back they had two employees up front and everybody just walked past nobody asked if they could help they seen people trying to help me but no one at Mavis tires tried to help me and they have everything that I need right inside the store I would have never left anyone stranded like that and I see the problem right in front of my face and I have everything to help this person right behind me and it would have literally took me to 5 minutes but no worries I will never come here for help . read more

We were driving down to Florida from NC and our check engine light came on. We were hungry too so we stopped at Mavis and Chili's. I took the kids intl to eat before I walked over to Mavis. I was literally in Chili's for 5 mins, and when I walked back out to use the bathroom at the rv and see if mavis could check my code they had already called a tow truck. 5 mins!! After looking at the sign it became clear that the manager of this business is making money on the side by predatory towing people who don't immediately walk into his store. The tow company gets $600 and gives a kickback to the manager. It is really dirty and slimy. Rather than give them our business we left. They were willing to take my vehicle and leave my family stranded without vehicle or home camper off thr interstate at night. Absolutely shameful. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and also calling their franchise office about this scheme to make money off of unsuspecting travelers and also those who park intl the edge of their lot and walk 5 feet over to chilis. read more

First off let me say, they didn't listen to a word that I said when I specifically asked for TWO FRONT TIRES when I called for my quote as well as noted it in their system to save my quote so I could stop in and not have to go through the hassle of telling the desk person all of the info, and just simply give my phone number. Well, after wondering around for 2 hours I get back to the shop to find out they "replaced the two that were the worst" when I specifically asked for two front tires, not an inspection or what the tech thinks is best, TWO FRONT TIRES. When I get to the desk the lady's demeanor was very negative and dismissive, and didn't really want to listen to what I had to say, but fight with me that I told her that I wanted the two worst tires replaced. After being a little irratable about taking care of a PAYING CUSTOMER, she offers for another tech to fix it for me. After waiting another 2 hours, my car was returned to me scornfully with a higher than suppose to be bill, but instead of fighting with the counter lady more, I bit it, and I will say that they will never get anymore of my business, or any more of my company's business. read more

They are liars, and tried to squeeze $406 out of me for rotars on front end and rear, took it over to sears and saw a guy that I've been going to for over 5 years and he said there is nothing wrong with your rotars, they are brand new( just purchased my car 2 months ago) . I've had issues with Kauffman before about my brakes, NEVER EVER going to this place again, and I'll advise everyone else to get a second look at you car before paying them one cent!!!!
