The lady at the front desk was sort of friendly. I had a slashed tire that I was 99% sure couldn't be patched. But doesn't hurt to ask right? So I sat there for over an hour just so they could tell me "yeah, can't be patched". Waste of my time. Then they took the plastic nozzle cap off the tire, and I had to ask for another one. I am probably writing this review and it will blow in the wind. Firestone Corporate needs to set standards! I had an early appointment at 8:30am for an oil change. I do not have anyone to give me a ride, so I let them know I would be waiting. Walking in the door, there were 3 people at the counter looking at their screens. And the garage area was blasting with Rap Music full of fowl language. Very unprofessional to say the least. I made a comment to the front desk girl about how loud the music was and she stated that is how the technicians like it and it keeps them happy. Wow! This music was very offensive. And is there no consideration for the customer, who is paying for a service and providing payment to the employees. So, I said nothing more, tolerated it and sat down in a filthy lounge area. The cleanest chair was full of food, hair and pure nastiness. After thirty minutes, I had to get on a conference call with a customer. To be courteous to other 'victims' in the waiting area, I went outside. It was even worse. There was no escaping this lovely set up. I proceeded to walk down the side of the building to go towards the back, where I could have a phone conversation. As I walked down the side of the building, it was a pleasant journey stepping over discarded trash and even a few dirty diapers. Fast forward, I had been waiting 2 1/2 hours at this point. Asked the front desk person what was going on with my car as it was just sitting the rack. Waiting a while longer. All this time I was waiting, I had ask to be told they could not remove the oil pan plug and were afraid the pan would crack. I suggested a lubricant like WD40. She laughed it off. But, guess what, google it. That is an option to attempt. Needless to say after a 4 hour stay at the most unhappy and disgusting place. I did not get an oil change. Usually the customer care expectations start at the top of the food chain. Brunswick Firestone is apparently lacking good management and no one cares about service, whether it happens or not. Firestone Corporate, you really need to take a good look at this store. BTW - This use to be my go to place. What is the world happened? Zero stars would be more appropriate. read more

This place tried to take advanced of an elderly man. He went to have a tire repaired, simple plug. The employee tried to tell him the tires are dry rotted and that he should replace all 4. I try to be self-aware. I really do. So in keeping with that - I have to question whether my rash of 1-star and 2-star reviews are driven by the fact that I'm sooooooo-very-much already on edge because of the incessant demands on my time trying to advocate for Mother's care coupled with being absolutely tired of being away from my swinging bachelorette pad since Aug 24. Nearly 3 months. Nearly twelve weeks. Eleven weeks & 2 days in fact. And let's be honest - if you call it a "swinging bachelorette pad" it is NOT a swinging bachelorette pad. Lol. But I digress. On to the review. Had a flat tire Saturday, got the 'donut' / spare on but it was late. Planned to go get tire fixed Sunday because nail was visible, not in sidewall. I tried to make appointment online at Firestone.com, but couldn't. Got distracted, figured I would just drive in early- be first customer. Later that night - after midnight - TRYING to be proactive, did a Google search and listing said they were CLOSED Sunday. So imagine my irritation and surprise when I use alternative means to get to Brunswick hospital and on my way there - I spy a parking lot FULL of cars. I call the number listed in Google and a nice employee tells me that "for the longest time, we were short-staffed and we were, in fact, closed on Sundays. I guess the internet needs to be updated. Ha, ha." ARGH. Later that same day (so technically Monday but around 4am) - I try - again - to be proactive and schedule an appointment. Nope. Error message prompting me to call the store. Today, Monday (officially) - good old Veteran's Day - I try to schedule online and I get the same message prompting me to call store. I call the store - no answer. I venture in and the associate, Warren Waterman (only bright spot in this review - props for hiring someone with a name straight out of a Spiderman comic - smile) tells me that it's "going to be a while before they can get to me." I tell him I have no choice because I'm riding on a temporary tire / donut - over 5.5 years old and I'm told it won't make it back to Marietta (5 hour drive). I ask him what "a while" means - and he tells me "it shouldn't be more than 1.5 - 2 hours." Cut to 2 hours later and my car is still in the exact same spot in the parking lot and I'm looking at the peg board with the service orders and keys and my car is being overlooked. Admittedly, I'm frustrated because I've been here for HOURS when I thought I'd already be finished and at the hospital annoying and harassing the staff - but what I found most annoying is the fact that my car / flat tire repair - appeared to be bumped and ignored for customers who had revenue generating needs. I called the store once, because the desk was left unmanned for so long and even ventured into the bay TWICE and each time I was told I was next in the queue. When I questioned how / why I saw another car pulled into the bay when I was supposed to be next - I wasn't given an explanation that made sense. I even called the toll free customer service number and was given some cockamie explanation as well, but they did eventually come and move my car into the bay. Once I was FINALLY given the keys to my car - three hours later - the tire pressure light was still on. I went back in and told them. They said it should go off in 5 minutes of driving. It's been 4 hours, I drove roughly 25 miles and it's still on. And - add to my misery - my axle was making weird clacking noises I've never heard - reminiscent of the time the CV joints went out when I was in my twenties and drove my last stick-shift (my souped up Sentra SER). This store is AWFUL. And while I know stuff happens - the reason I can safely label them awful is this. I was at the store for 3 hours. During that time, if a customer came in to purchase new, expensive tires (like the guy with the Mercedes), they were not turned away - EVEN WHEN - the lobby was full of angry, disgruntled customers like myself, instead they were told 'Have a seat, we'll squeeze you in." IF - a) I can't schedule an appointment because of your horrible website and interface - THEN b) I get to the store and you treat me like crap and don't respect my time because your store isn't going to make money off my repair because it's covered under the road hazard previously purchased, c) it makes me not want to purchase road hazard in the first place AND d) it makes me want to go on the internet and bad-mouth you. It's been a few hours - see introductory text . . . I did my self-assessment . . . just to make sure I'm not judging this store too harshly because I'm already an emotional powder keg. Verdict: I'm not. This 1-star review is deserved. The only positives I can give are: 1) Warren Watermen was professional during all his interactions with customers. Even though these guys were understaffed and slammed with clients, they took care of my parents quickly and got them back on the road in short order. I had to cut the negative details of my story because what I've been through made the review too long, to be honest I would give it 1 star but because of one employee that will soon to be mentioned in this review I gave this store a 3 star. I'm glad this store still have a professional and knowledgeable staff like Mr. Williams, he treated me like how I supposed to be treated as a customer and it's not just me because I saw how he treating and solving problems for every single customer after 2-3 hours that I was waiting at the store there. To the store owner. You're very lucky to have an employee like Mr. Williams. People like him is really hard to find nowadays. Keep him safe and treat him well. He deserves so much more. It is very hard to find an honest people especially when it's come to cars and mechanical problems. We all need a reliable, reasonable and most of all an honest opinion from a store we can trust. So I recommend for everyone to ask for Mr. Williams Wade if you ever go to this store. He's trustworthy when it's come to the mechanical situation!! To Mr. Williams if you ever cross this review. Whatever you do avoid this place at all costs! I was traveling and 6 hours from home when my alternator went out. I assumed since Firestone was a national brand it would be dependable. Man was I ever wrong. Something as simple as putting in a new alternator, which is about a 2 hour job turned into a 3 day event with this place. I ended having to spend an additional $830 for 2 nights in a hotel, Uber rides everyday back and forth from my hotel to this auto center only to be lied to, missing a day of work and not being able to pick my dog up from boarding on time after vacation. That additional $830 doesn't include the alternator repair. Instead of looking at my car around 2 in the afternoon, they didn't until 5:00. By then it was to late to get a part. So day one of a hotel. The next day after sitting for 7 hours I was finally told the manager William Wade ordered the wrong part which caused another day of delay (another night in a hotel) and that put the estimate off by $200 ($500 up to $700). While they gave me the original quote because of all the "missed promises" listed on the receipt this was a horrible experience. William Wade, the manager, never once came over and apologized for ordering wrong part or for a simple repair turning into a 3 day event. I even had employees blatantly lie. On day 2, I was told my car would be ready around 2:00. At 3:30 I asked why it was taking so long to be told "Oh.. they had to take out some extra parts to get to your alternator". I heard them use this same excuse with 3 other customers. In actuality they knew they had the wrong part but no one wanted to tell me that it would be yet another day before they could get the correct part. So I sat there until right before closing when someone finally admitted the manager ordered the wrong part and it would be another night (hotel night #2) The mechanic that was under the hood of my car would spend 5 minutes on the car, then go sit down and eat pizza for 15 minutes. Back to my car for 5 then back to the pizza for 15. (I took pictures to send to corporate) Every time I was quoted a time estimate for anything (we will look at your car in 2 hours, you car will be ready at 2:00) it ended up being at least 5 hours off. I spent almost 15 hours over the course of this experience sitting in the waiting room. I've filed a complaint with corporate, they gave me a case number and said a manager would call me within 48 hours. We shall see if Firestone follows up on it's promises read more

We were on our way home to Atlanta from Jekyll. We didn't get far before we had a full flat tire. Yes they were very busy. Even so, they worked with us and got us on the road despite the Subaru melting down at being driven to the shop with a doughnut. The crew, Jason (?) especially, was great. I just have to leave this review to thank William for his honesty and genuine concern. After receiving some unbelievable feedback from the neighborhood Jeep dealership. I was told that all 20 of my lug nuts were swollen and a tire rotation couldn't be done without breaking my lug nuts and it costs $10 per lug nut to replace. I came here for a second opinion. William assured me that I had no reason to worry after checking my lug nuts and told me everything was perfectly fine. He suggested that I wait until my next oil change to have my tires rotated because my tire treading was also fine. Scheduled an appointment for an oil change at 11am. They said it should take about 30 minutes. I went to check on the status of my car after about 30 minutes that's when they told me they were running behind. They didn't get started on my vehicle until 12pm... it wasn't completed until 12:39pm. I understand that places can run behind (even when appointments are scheduled) but tell me up front so I can go run some errands or something and don't waste an additional hour of my day sitting in your lobby while my car is in your parking lot. Ladies BEWARE! When you go in to get some service work done, be sure to bring someone with you that can ask questions regarding your services and knows about mechanic shops and their tactics. I went in to get some service on my car and in addition asked to check my front brake pads because I was recently advised that they were at about a quarter inch to needing replacement. When I was called from the shop, I was told that I needed not just brake pads, but also brake rotars and that the breaks were in "pretty bad shape." Luckily, there are still some honest people left on this planet not out to make a few extra hundred bucks on someone by lying to them of services needed. I had the breaks checked again by another professional and was shown the wear on the pads and the rotars were in perfect shape! Of course I did not give a good review on the survey that was sent to me and I received a call from Firestone offering a possible free oil change to get my business back...are you kidding! A free oil change for possibly ripping me off for any additional $600.00 for front breaks and rotars that were not needed! Unbelievable! read more

For example I took a flat in once and instead of patching it rigth away they told me they would call me back when it was fixed. I stopped by around 8:30 to see if they could get me in early, and they told me that the appointment didn't go through. However, Anthony, the associate on duty, told me that he could take the tire and mount the new tire and would call me when it was ready. Go to TireKindom. I made appointment for tire change online I set everything then I cursing in the same street where is the shop so I just stopped to make sure to confirm the appointment. Well the guy said they don't have those tires what I choosed earlier online ( ok s*** happenes) and he said they not making anymore. ??? Why do you showing online if you stopped making... what eva.. give what u got. So they said the tires is gonna be here next day around 10:00-10:30 so if I dropped off the car at 9:00am ( they said if I leave the car at 9am they can start take off the tires etc..) it's gonna be ready by 12:00. So I called them at 11:45 and the car is not done yet. You know I have job, duties etc just like everybody. So if you make an appointment make sure ask everything what tires available when is gonna be ready etc bc they can screw up your daily schedule really baaaaaad. read more

Let me be the first to warn you about this Firestone auto repair shop. I would not normally take my car to to a tire shop for repairs, but my girlfriend's car needed work over the weekend and they were the only place open Sunday. I should have waited. The air conditioning service was expensive and ineffective. The tech clearly had no concept of how to use dye to diagnose a AC system leak, even though I was charged for dye and a diagnostic check. The manager's explanation was incomprehensible and illogical. According to her, apparently, the diagnostic check and the dye do nothing. You have to fill unit with refrigerant (which you pay for) and the let it all run out before you know there's a leak. And of course then you have to go back for more refrigerant. Stay away. read more

It's a long story but I cannot thank this store enough for their help with my daughter's Jeep Cherokee as she was in town for GA/FL game weekend and began to have transmission problems. She arrived at the store on a Sunday at opening time of 8am and Anthony took over. He and others were able to look at and drive her car and figure out the problem and advise her that it was not safe for her to drive home 300 miles. They made me feel better about the whole situation and were so kind to her as she was very stressed out and nervous about what was going on with her car, knowing she had to get home.
