Restaurant with the best views in the UK. Probably.
It's worth a visit just for the stunning views of Cader Idris through the massive front windows. Bwyty Mawddach is (I think) a beautifully converted barn, full of oak and slate and that breathtaking vista. It's run by Ifan and Amelie, with much of the lamb served in the restaurant farmed on the surrounding land by Ifan's brother.
Downstairs is a lounge area, with the main seating area upstairs. I've always been in a big group every time I've been here and can attest that it's a great venue for friends and families. The food is largely local and seasonal. It's reasonably priced and there's a good selection. I've never had any complaints about the service. read more
