I used Max based off a recommendation from a coworker who used him to buy their home. I was a single female looking for a safe place to live that was either a nicer condo or a fixer upper single family home. Max went with me to all of the showings and pointed out things I wouldn't have necessarily noticed (even with all my HGTV binge watching experience!). Safety was a top priority for me and, since he's former law enforcement, he always checked to tell me if there were a lot of calls for service to the police out of the areas we were looking at or nearby sex offenders. I also wasn't super familiar with the area so he made some great recommendations about where I should look. Working with someone who knows the area you're looking in is a must! I put in multiple offers on houses that kept getting our bid by cash offers until I found the place of my dreams! Max pulled a few favors and got me into the house before the planned open house and I made an offer on the spot. I was nervous that my dream house would get outbid again but Max coached me through it and I ended up paying a price which was firmly in my comfort zone, which, having seen two other homes directly next to mine with the exact same layout get listed and sold for more in the month after I moved in, I am so thankful for! The two other homes that got listed after mine were not as nice in terms of the view or the inside, not as renovated or modern. One of them had three bathrooms with baby blue tile from floor to ceiling or pink tile with hand painted roses on the ceiling. Bleh! That home listed for 30K MORE than mine with the exact same layout! The other home had almost the same layout with some minor differences but didn't have the great views I have and the interior wasn't as updated and it was still listed 20K MORE than mine!
