This pickup went well - the driver was waiting in the parking area, and got me to my hotel in short order. She was very pleasant and professional. I was impressed with the service, so scheduled a ride from my hotel back to the station the day before I was to leave. I waited outside the hotel the next morning for the ride - it did not arrive at the scheduled time. I waited 6 - 8 more minutes, then decided to walk in order to get to my train on time. I called the dispatch number when the ride did not arrive at the scheduled time and asked for a status update. No call or text was ever returned. In both instances, Sunrise was supposed to text me when the driver arrived to let me know where they parked, what they were driving, etc., and they did not do so. All I can say is, have a backup plan in place if you decide to use this service.

When I learned that this was the only one of it's kind left, I knew we had to hop on, and seeing that little boat being pulled across the river was about the most adorable piece of history I've ever observed. The operators really made the ride, sharing history, local insights, and letting us all get in on the crank (that's how you pull the boat silly)! The ride is short, costs about $3, and goes from downtown Saugatuck to Douglas on the other side of the Kalamzoo river. On the Douglas side you've got a few opportunities to experience local history and the outdoors. I loved how the operators had great descriptions and info about all of them and were happy to direct you. They even stayed at the dock and made sure everyone knew where they were going! What a fun, albeit brief experience!
