Fairly new discount store in the area…read more This store replaced a former and very popular.99 Cent store. There are so many items sold here such as furniture, books, clothing, food items, office, home goods, diapers and so much more. All items are new and in boxes but the stock does appear to come from liquidation sales. A store employee advised me that new stock comes in every Wednesday so some merchandise does change weekly. Employees do their best to keep everything organized and the store does appear to be well maintained. The store was well stocked and the prices were very reasonable on most items though a few very few select items appeared to be closer to full retail rather than discounted prices. I walked out of here with $35.00 worth of merchandise and left feeling with no buyer's remorse whatsoever. Tip: ALL sales are final. No returns so buyer beware

There's a lot of selections and amazing deals. They have a lot of unopened stuff but there's opened stuff here and there. You can find anything here - clothing to home essentials to sealed TVs! Most of the stuff I noticed are from Target but I'm guessing they take it stuff from everywhere. There are discounts everywhere, 20% to 70%. It all depends on what you're looking at. They do have an app that I suggest you download. Why? You can scan the QR codes on the items to know the discounted prices! Super convenient. Service is fast. They take cash and card. Plenty of parking available.

I work in the entertainment industry- specifically, with costumes, so for both work and for my own leisure, I like to take the time to explore the various secondhand stores around the LA area. For the clothing options you get at URM, I would say that this place is definitely a hidden gem. One of the SGV's best kept secrets for sure. They've got all sorts of styles, from alternative - gothic - academia - "clean girl" - club wear - rave gear - etc, etc. I'm a person who prefers to shop secondhand, and recently, I've found that most of my wardrobe consists of pieces I got from URM. Neat! The union rescue mission also does quite a lot for the homeless population in Los Angeles county, as well as offering really great products, clothing AND knickknacks AND furniture all at reasonable prices. They also very often have sales of up to 50% off almost everything in store. I do recommend following them on Instagram, because they update their daily hours and post dates/times of specific sales. If they have a highly coveted piece of furniture or clothing available, they'll also post pictures on Instagram as well. All in all this is a great thrift store, especially if you're someone who likes a unique piece of clothing. The work they do for the community is also wonderful. I saw they had a HUGE inventory of everything I could possibly want. Even better, they had the exact brand and models of everything I had been researching online and looking for -- Panasonic Whisper series for the fan, Samsung counter-depth fridge, Kohler tub, etc. Their prices and inventory are amazing, but the best part was the people working there. I have never met a friendlier and more helpful group! Marlon, Cassie, Leslie made my buying experience so enjoyable, painless and convenient. Leslie was so patient and kind when I first called to confirm availability of stock, and Marlon offered good insights and went out of his way to move big appliances aside for me so I could get a better look and feel for the things I wanted to see. Marlon even threw in extra deals for me without me asking - which was such a cherry on top of it all. Cassie rang me up, and she was so sweet to even offer to carry some of the heavy boxes for me to my car. (I did not let her because her frame is too tiny and that's what my giant husband is for!) They even delivered everything to my house an hour after I left the store. Their service was so fast and efficient. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is searching for any house appliances/goods, as they have the BEST prices (waaaay better than Amazon and eBay) and truly the nicest and friendliest staff. It was smaller than I had expected and the parking lot had one other car. (Nobody can find it...) Yelp indicated they are closed on weekends but I called to confirm. They have shorter hours onnthe weekends so call them if you want to check them out on the weekend. There was one female employee who greeted us and a malenemployee who was unloading pallets of products. They have appliances, random light fixtures, mishmash of cabinets, etc. If you have something specific you are looking for, you may luck out but I didn't find anything to purchase. The appliances have small dents but are brand new and come with limited 1 year warranty, according to the male employee who was unloading things. My husband noticed a proce tag of $800 on a pallet that was still wrapped in plastic and had a lot of different things. He guessed it's probably returned things on Amazon & they auction them off by the pallet. They had Frigidaire refrigerators & ghe male employee informed us they came directly from the distributors as the boxes were damaged - hence the dents on the refrigerators.
