Expensive Landfill Supply -that's what E.L.S. stands for. Store is full of trash at full retail price. Do yourself a favor and skip this dump. Drive a little south and you will find a Walmart with brand new items at true savings. Or go on Amazon and spend your hard-earned cash there. This place is a total waste of your money. Honestly, for everything they advertise about being so discounted the prices really aren't that cheap for how they advertise themselves. I bought a Duracell lamp. It was actually cheaper at the regular Costco then shopping here. And now that it's on sale, it's even more of a discount at the regular Costco so do your homework before buying here in my own opinion. read more

Unprofessional and hostile experience at entrance - July 25, 2026 On July 25, 2026 at approximately 3:34 PM, I visited The Outlet By E.L.S. for the first time with my kids. At the entrance, the security guard shouted at me in a loud, commanding voice asking, "What's in your bag?" I was carrying a regular-sized white tote bag with only my wallet and phone inside. I was startled and did not understand what I had done wrong upon entering, so I offered to leave the bag in my car. The guard then told me I could carry it in, but would have to show it again before leaving the store. His tone was hostile and created an embarrassing situation, as other customers in the store turned to look at us. I felt singled out and profiled as a potential shoplifter, possibly because I was wearing a hat. I was dressed casually in gray pants, a white shirt, and sneakers, which I felt was appropriate for shopping at a discount store. I regularly shop at large retailers like Costco and Sam's Club and have never been questioned about my bag upon entry. When my daughter and her friend spoke to him about the way we were treated, he responded that he was just doing his job and that is just how he is. He said he was sorry I was offended, but reiterated that he was just doing his job. I later spoke with a staff member who did apologize for what happened. I understand and respect the need for security, but there is a professional way to do it without making customers feel accused or unwelcome. A retail business should welcome customers while ensuring safety, not create a hostile shopping environment at the door. I am sharing this feedback so management is aware of how customers are being treated. Based on this experience, I will not be returning. read more

Holy moly. This Outlet is my new favorite store - they have so many discounted items from Target, Costco, Sam's Club and more. I bought a Tonies 2 box that is currently at Sam's for $100 off. We found so many appliances and household items at great prices. I would avoid going on the weekend, parking was brutal. 12/16/23 Not as impressed as I thought I would be....I suppose it depends on what you're looking for and what you're actually going to find. ELS Outlet is a collection of Costco items that have been marked down due to slight damage to the packaging or its an open box item, surplus, etc. The organization is a bit skewed because the aisles are not labeled & inventory on shelvings appear to be in disarray. There doesn't seem to be any particular order to the way their products are displayed. It's not exactly a huge mess but things are a bit cluttered. The bigger ticket items hug the walls: TVs, appliances like microwave ovens, stovetops, lawn mowers, kitchen sinks, fridges, freezers. Clothing take up a huge part of the floor which is in the middle: rows of aisles & clothing also in hangers & racks. We found some counter chairs but the ones we wanted were marked as "sold" already. Of course, most are single pieces without other matching or pairs. If you're a bargain hunter & have a lot of patience sifting through miscellaneous items that aren't necessarily matching-this would be the perfect place for you! Sometimes you get lucky & find exactly what you're looking for-but just know that it could be a one off & you will probably never see that item again. You probably have to visit this place several times to see what's "new"and revel what else they have to offer. For this visit, I found a box of Christmas card collection-$22 for 24, not bad when each card could easily cost between $6-10 EACH!!! Now that's a bargain! These were definitely much better & elaborately design cards by Papyrus. I'm totally happy with this purchase & actually regret not buying a second box. read more

I am not sure what makes this place an outlet other than reselling damaged and almost expired goods. The place gives off a thrift store feeling as you go further and further into the store. When entering, the place looks like a department store with customer service and restrooms nearby. But, I've noticed a lot of the decoration merchandise being sold are from stores like Costco/Target/Walmart in which the items were out of season. For example, some of the items used to be sold in target but since they were out of season you can still purchase them here and since pricing can't be compared they have signs saying you can buy them for roughly 10%-25% off. In the food section, I saw many opened and almost expired packages at a very small percentage discount. For example, many Great Value brands are sold at a price more than Walmart. Or some protein bars are priced close to Walmart but condition are not the same such as package is damaged or it's been smashed. In the electronic section, some new and damaged packaged items were sold more than Walmart prices. Many of the packages are wrapped in plastic or a bag with tape. A lot of robot vacuums were stacked up on top of each other. Furniture ranged from 600$-1200$, they don't show the discounted price but they instead add signs that say "10%-25% off". The only items I think might be worth it are the clothing. Specifically the ones that are on the racks. We also looked at toys and other items but for the price it wasn't worth it. We ended up leaving without purchasing anything and went to Walmart next door instead. Wish they made them at a real discounted price. read more

This place used to be amazing but over the last couple of years it's turned into what everything else has turned into: a money grab. This is the place where damaged goods or overproduced goods from target, Sam's and Costco go to hope for new life in someone's home. But be careful.. just because you're shopping at an outlet doesn't mean you're getting a deal. That same item might still be cheaper at the box store. Returns are finicky here so consider your purchase a final sale. And check the dates on food items because the people who stock the shelves don't. It's really hit or miss here. Come with enough time to look, like thoroughly look but also come with little expectations because you may end up leaving with nothing at all. read more

Coming to this store makes one feel like being a kid in a candy store. You never know what you are going to find here. This store offers sooo many different products such as home goods, garden products, home, gym equipment, clothing, furniture, school, and on and on and on. All items are priced to sell. Some items have damaged packaging which allows for rock bottom pricing yet the contents are 100% in new condition. This large place is definitely worth the trip no matter where you live read more

Love coming the the outlet. It's perfect for balling on a budget or splurging. When I would have $10 on my account I'd come and buy food here in bulk. Saved me many times. Now that I'm shopping for my home, i come here for furniture and Christmas gifts. Workers are so young and respectful. Ive called in serval times to see certain stock. I've been greeted nicely. It's always well organized and clean. Gets busy for sure and carts are first come first serve too... but well worth the drive for me... commuting from Riverside/Moreno Valley area. read more

Items are all over the place, big-ticket items such as refrigerators, washing machines etc are damaged. If a place is advertising as an outlet, honor outlet prices. Not a ggod outlet over priced sellin at the same amout that costco and sam club sells. It suppose to be 30% less nothing at all is. And most of all the employees get the goid stuff 1st and save it for themselves so wring while we wait outside i line. Food expired items broken. Went in for there clearance 50% off clothing sale. Grab a pair of pants that I thought was a good price but when I went to the register the cashier felt it was marked too low. She called it in to check and claim it was marked wrong. WTH. Cashier was just petty and on power trip. Wasted my time waiting in line for it. read more

Hidden gems! Not always cheaper but sometimes it's nice to try things out that you don't want to commit to in large quantities. Always inspect your stuff- bought an air mattress and when we opened it the item inside was completely different. They exchanged it no problem. read more

There are so many things here! These are things that come from Costco where the package may be damaged or clothing g that didn't sell out at Costco or toys as well. The employees are always very friendly and helpful. Value is great on most things specially with the cost of everything now a days!!! All in all a good shopping experience. read more

I've been shopping at ELS since it's Monrovia days, but they have gotten greedy and their prices have really gone up. Most of their items are returned items from Costco, Sam's or Target or dented and damaged items. In fact, their prices have gone up so much that you can get the same items for cheaper at the retail stores...so don't be fooled by the "Outlet" in their name. Today was the final straw though, bought a hand held clothes steamer for $12.99 and went to pay and the cashier didn't say a word to me but had to walkie talkie call someone else to check the price as she thought it was $17.00 instead. Puzzled as the price was right on the product, I told her the price is $12.99 and said they are all marked like that...for which she totally ignored me. Of course the walkie talkie person confirmed it's $12.99 and she then decides to talk to me and say it's $12.99. When I replied "That's what I told you, you make it seem like I'm trying to cheat the store"...for which she get's all offended and says that's not what she said...well dear, that's exaclty what you're implying when the price is on the item, I'm telling you that's the price (but you rudely just ignore me, like you don't trust what I'm saying) and still had to walkie talkie to confirm.....and all for $5. Mind you, my cart is full of other items I'm paying for. This is the last time I'm ever coming here...this store treats you like crooks and thieves and their employees need better training! read more

I need a moment and a drink. This outlet store has some deals. You have to be ready to fight for your deals. Everyone here walks around in a daze as if they are the only people here. The aisles are narrow, making it difficult to fit down the aisle when another whole family is standing around. I guess I was expecting a quiet shopping experience. Instead, it was a near mêlée. It's a huge outlet store most merchandise are from Costco . Need to price compare , not every thing they sell here are a good deal. Sometimes it's less expensive to purchase at the actual Costco stores and other times it's a better to buy at this outlet. So do your research before pulling the plug. Example: lazy Susan at outlet is $22.99 at Costco store sale is $21.99 Water pick at outlet $74.99 additional discount $54.99 at Costco $99.99 .. I purchased 2 water pick at $54.99 each . Items were not used, brand new equipment. Some items are returns with damaged boxes , might or might not had been used. Spoke with the store associates he said they do check the inventory to make sure all the items are working properly and with all the equipment. ( they do have a 30 days store credit policy) if you change your mind for what ever reasons. Now be sure to pay close attention to your discounted prices. At the register I and my girlfriend was rung up at the regular price and not our additional percentage off . We had to walk to the customer service to receive a refund for the difference. read more

Costco deals at a highly reduced rate. If you're looking for discounted items or seasonal stuff that has left the stores, this is the spot. Since they do not have a reoccurring supply, you have to buy when they have an item. Store kept very clean and tidy. Staff is very friendly. I went on a Saturday and the open time showed 11 am but there was already a line at 10:30. I recommend arriving early and being prepared for long lines if you arrive late. read more

If you're searching for a FREE sauna experience, look no further than The Outlet By E.L.S. This place is, without a doubt, the "HOTTEST" outlet store in Southern CA, but not because of their deals. Step inside, and you'll be instantly transported to the depths of a sweltering inferno. The AC system on the ceiling? Purely ornamental. It's like they hired a designer to create the illusion of cool comfort without any of the functionality. I barely lasted 15 minutes before I had to escape. It felt like I was shopping inside a malfunctioning Easy-Bake Oven, I wasn't alone--everywhere I turned, I heard customers complaining about the heat. My heart truly goes out to the employees who have to endure this box oven. I honestly don't know how they survive an hour, let alone a full shift. No wonder this place isn't as busy as it used to be. I'd suggest the owner starts a GoFundMe for a real air conditioning system if finances are tight. Until then, I'll be shopping elsewhere and wishing them the best in their quest to make the store remotely bearable. read more

Great place for a treasure hunt. They carry a lot of Costco items that are discontinued or returned. Prices are awesome but can get too much at times with all the items they have. Employees are not really present to help which is fine since most things are self explanatory. Definitely come give this place a visit if you're in the area. City of Azusa, you're so lucky! This is the first I've heard of The Outlets By ELS and I think the city of Azusa is pretty lucky to have this type of store for the community. To simply describe The Outlets By ELS, it's a discounted, perhaps maybe slightly damaged, overstock merchandise store for Costco (and rumored Target) goods. In these times of COVID-19 hoarding frenzy, I could see ELS being a great resource for those who can't afford a Costco membership. From shoes, clothing, food, furniture, you name it -this store has tons of great finds at a discounted price. After a waterfall hiking adventure and discussion of foot blisters, my hiking friends and I headed on over to ELS for some discounted Kirkland merino wool socks. For 1 bundle, 6 pairs of ladies 80% merino wool crew socks will cost you $14.99 here. I consider that a pretty good deal, since I've paid $16-$20 for 1 pair of Smartwool socks. Costco is no longer selling these socks online, but I've did research (AKA Google-ing, lol) and other sites are selling the same exact bundle of socks for $19.99-$24.99, just FYI. Store is a smaller warehouse version of Costco. Restrooms are clean. Free, ample parking. One can't enter without a mask (COVID-19 standard now a days). Employees are wearing masks and tons of cash registers to keep the checkout line moving. I'd definitely come here again to scope out deals. read more

It's less busy on a rainy day! Sometimes you'll find great things, but sometimes not so much. You'll have to come here every weekend to check what they have. The price tag shows what date the item arrived. They restock every Thursday. The clothing comes from Costco and Sam at a discounted price. The items come from major retailers from returns or overstock. Sometimes, you'll find a very good deal, but check the price online to see if it's worth buying. Interesting "Costco" outlet store that is not owned by Costco but has a mishmash of items you see at Costco and other chain stores. Mostly no box and some damaged packaging goods but a fun place to treasure hunt for a good deal. Always busy so I don't go very much but every so often I will stop here and find an item that is a great deal. I recently purchased a countertop convection oven for about half the price as on Amazon that was out of box without instructions, etc but nowadays you can always just go online for instructions and warranty. read more

Be careful when you see items with 'CLEARANCE' prices and triple check (no not just DOUBLE check T R I P L E CHECK!). I asked a sales person about a trampoline I was interested in, if I could pay for it and pick it up the next day and questioned a 50% off tag HEAVILY TAPED (with thick PACKING TAPE) on box of that trampoline. He told me it was correct, that the pools and that trampoline was 50% off because it was the only/last one and wrote up the ticket. I went up to pay for it and noticed they rang it up full price!!! I walked back to find the guy who wrote it up and he told me 'oh, I guess it was marked wrong, I'll ask my manager' .. the manager LORENZO told him all they could do was 25%.... Well, If they mark an item, HEAVILY tape it to a box, then THAT price should be honored! NOT 'oh, I guess it was marked wrong' and HE then CONFIRMED the sale price the first time I asked!!!!! This is my first time post pandemic of visiting The Outlet By ELS. The store was quite clean considering it's back to school shopping season. The store is neatly categorized. The home section is larger than I can recall and the quality is much better than in my last visit. This place has everything from dishwashing liquid to bedroom headboards. Many things were new in their packaging? But many items we're wrapped in plastic or unboxed. The staff was stocking new merchandise during visit, but was also assisting shoppers. There were special sale signage strategically placed throughout the store. I know some have reviewed that not everything is outlet pricing, And, that is accurate. I felt like the bedding and beauty products were normally priced. Also, there are no dressing rooms, but there are mirrors placed in the clothing sections. All sales are final, although clothing can be exchange within 14 days. There is a lot for ample free parking . read more
