He then was scheduled to meet my husband at their home to start inventory of the items for auction, and was a no show. My husband tried reaching him by phone, leaving messages, with no return phone call. He called the office and they said that they would leave a message for him to call us back. We were ghosted by everyone at Schoolhouse Auctions with no returned phone calls. If our property wasn't a large enough project for them to take on, then the professional thing to do would be to call my husband to say that, instead of ghosting us. We were left with a very poor impression of Schoolhouse Auctions and sadly we will not be able to recommend their business to anyone we meet.

He provided reasonable terms and explained the process clearly. His flyers and his website provide pictures and an expert design that maximized the items at the auction for our benefit. His staff also moved all the items from our basement and organized the items outside so that people could move around easily. Even worse, at Jennifer's New Year's Day Auction they threatened to kick out any customers at the auction who filmed the Nazi items being sold (Swastika flags to be specific). This no recording rule was not in place for any other items in the auctions. Only the Nazi ones. If you're going to sell Nazi stuff. Don't try and hide it. If you're trying to hide it, which they are, there is a reason. They know it's gross behavior.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that most places that run blind auctions are exempt from winning. Not this one however.... Now, think about this: If this auction service is going to rig a blind auction so the auctioneer can win, what is going to stop them from running the price up to someones max bid on the things he doesn't want? You know, so he can maximize his 30% commission? Trust has alot to do with this type of business, how many times does someone get to betray trust before it's gone?
