He wanted to only purchase a new one to replace the one battery that was completely junk. Which when you add a new battery to old batteries it brings the new batteries voltage down to that of the others. We had even transported his batteries out to a dealer to be checked for no charge. Also charge controllers do not drain batteries. The fact that they froze was because they were in such poor condition and were not replaced, as recommended.
