Where do I begin. I recently purchased a promotion & immediately lied to me when I called in saying the promotion was only good for a day which is a lie so I bought it then thought about it because when I've purchased promotions before I've called in a week later and got it. So I was near the O street location so I went in and told the girl about it and she said she'd date it to when I get back into town . She proceeds to tell me that if I wanted to tan while I was there if I bought a lotion I could tan for 50 units (which isn't much btw) so I did. Fast forward til just now the manager who was wearing a mask on her face, didn't catch her name (rude and condescending) said nope it starts on that day you came in. So basically girl scammed me for a lotion and I didn't even get to tan the full time. Basically since I bought a promotion I got treated like crap . i tan during the winter usually only needed a base tan right now so I wouldn't burn at my brothers funeral next week. Will never go back & I will tell my large clientele to not go either. Do better. read more

I absolutely love Max Tan! The girls always know my name when I come to tan, and the customer service is always great. It's refreshing to see a genuine smile and not feel constant pressure to buy. Also, their custom sprays are amazing! I prefer a custom spray over a booth, and their spray techs have never disappointed. I'll be moving to Omaha and plan to make the drive to Lincoln for their sprays! read more

I have been with the tanning zone for 4 years, I trusted a friend that max tan was better, shouldn't have!! Although they have some fancier beds, my tan wasn't that any better and their prices were definentely not even worth changing. And did I mention that they have the most rude and condescending staff ever!!! The girl who helped me claimed to be the manager of all the stores, but if I owned the store I wouldn't have trusted her for one second to run my business. She needs to learn a thing or two about treating customers. read more

Don't let 2 negative reviews alter your thoughts on max tan. I have been going for over 10 years and have always felt welcome and the beds are very clean. Let's remember that they have lots of associates who work there so one negative experience shouldn't overshadow the years of good. Love max tan. read more

I love that Max Tan is one of the last standing LOCAL tanning salons in Lincoln! Their staff is always so sweet and looking to inform their customers about what's best for them and the next and upcoming special or lotion! I can't see myself tanning anywhere else! read more

I signed up to tan here a few weeks ago when they had a very good discount, I also bought tanning lotion and eyewear. I got a call from the manager, Sarah, saying that since I'm under 19 (even though I'm 18), that I can't tan there without parental consent and I need to have my parents sign a contract, even though my parents live two hours away so it's not possible. I called back and asked for her to cancel my membership and she said she could but she refused to refund what I paid for my membership, the lotion, and the eyewear even though clearly I can't use them now and they were sold to me because I'd be tanning there. She was extremely rude and even questioned why I bought the lotion if I didn't plan on tanning there. Um, what? If I'm not mistaken I signed contract to tan there every month. At this point, I was tired of dealing with her and so I told her fine, just cancel my membership. I was with my mother and since I'm not old enough to tan there, why should I be dealing with this contract anyway? My mother called the company and I was astonished at how Sarah treated us. She told my mom that "she didn't appreciate being talked down to by an eighteen-year-old and that if we had been nicer she would have done a refund for us," among other extremely rude things that NO ONE working for company involved with people should say. I don't think she apologized for the whole incident once, even though this was not my fault whatsoever. Don't tan at Max Tan. Apparently they think that anyone younger than them doesn't deserve decent customer service. read more
